AboutTitle: Pyuu to Fuku! Jaguar
("Pyuu" is the sound of a recorder, "fuku" means to blow, so he blows it like "pyuuuuuu!")
Author/Artist: Usuta Kyousuke
Story: Saketome Kiyohiko wants to be a guitarist, but he never quite makes it into his first audition. A strange orange-haired flute playing young man, named Jaguar Jun'ichi, seems to appear at every single record company he visits, and through bizarre emotional manipulation manages to slowly turn Kiyohiko's life into, well, the hilarious randomness that this manga is. Chapters later, poor Kiyohiko (now Piyohiko) has somehow become forever trapped in a dormitory with Jaguar and Hammer the hip hop ninja, while attending Jaguar's recorder class...if you can call it that...!! ^^;;
Background Info: Jaguar is a gag manga serialized in the weekly Shounen Jump. A beloved title to many in Japan, but sadly almost unknown in the English speaking fandom. Usuta Kyousuke has a truly random and unique sense of humor, which can also be found in his other works: Chikusaku Kooru(Call), Sexy Commando Gaiden Sugoiyo! Masaru-san (of which there is an anime) and Bushizawa Recieve (a non-gag manga). Pyuu to Fuku! Jaguar started in 2000 and is currently on-going with about 7 pages per chapter (half the usual Jump chapter length). No matter what its ranking, it can always be found at the very end of the Jump magazine. :)
Translation status: Chapters 1-4 by Seven Star (http://sevenstar.i8.com), 1-22 by me. More whenever I feel like it.

Why the community?: It would be so sad if this manga didn't have one. It came as a surprise actually, that there wasn't one before! Hopefully, the Jaguar community will grow a little, though for now it looks like this place will be quite empty. D:
