Dulé Hill and 'Bud'

When watching the season finale and they made a reference to Gus looking like 'Bud' from the Cosby Show, I had to look up who really played Bud. And it was Deon Richmond, who also played in a short-lived NBC show called "Teachers" last year. Also he played the "token black guy" in Not Another Teen Movie, a character who was a parody of the character Preston from She's All That, played by none other than Dulé Hill!

The really interesting thing I found was the picture of the two main characters on Teachers, who bear a striking resemblence to both Shawn & Gus in Psych!

Okay, so after clicking on the Teachers picture and then going around IMDB, I ended up going to Dulé Hill's page and there's a thread on the message board about him looking like Deon Richmond dated from December 31, 2005! I wonder if the writers read it and decided to put it into the script...

I was thinking the same thing. I bet he probably gets people stopping him on the street all the time thinking he's "Bud". lol

Aww I didn't recognize him on Teachers. I watched half of that show. :(

LOL, I think I liked NATM better the SAT. Sorry Dulé!

Funniest thing about the "Bud" idea in the last episode is that way back near when Psych started, I actually looked up Dule on imdb to check if he had played him! ^_^ lmao. I love that the resemblance came up in an episode, even though now that I've watched it for longer it seems obvious that he isn't Deon Richmond.

That picture in the last link is insane! XD

If you compare them both as adults, the differences are more noticable in most cases. However, if you compare Dulé and Deon when he was a kid on the Cosby show, they seem to have more similarities, if my memory is right.
