Valerie A Týden Divu

Hello, all! My first time posting here after creeping about on and off for about a year. I'm visiting family out in Maryland and happened upon this gem at Sound Garden in Baltimore. I figure that the majority of people here have this by now however I felt compelled to contribute what I can.

Whimsical, orchestrated pysch pop/folk score to the Czech film(1970) based off the surrealist novel(1932) of the same name. Very much worth your time.

Ahh, this must be the mother of The Valerie Project :) I'll gladly try it, haven't heard it yet. Thanks!

That it is! You really should try to see the film as well, Czech new wave is also very much worth your time.

Whoa, you're in St. Charles? I live in West Chicago! It's all kinds of neat to see someone so near to me in the same community.

I love Valerie and Her Week of Wonders so much, and I've been seeing it all over the place lately. Fantastic.

thanks for this! i live in bmore, and if you are in town or a bit you have to go to hampden and check out TRUE VINE its on the avenue,
its my favorite record store. Sound garden is actually probably the worst of a lot of the shops(unless you are buying cds) , there are so many little gems in basements. but its all vinyl. anyways let me know if you are looking for cool stuff to do. Theres also a free book store every sat and sun ... AS MANY FREE BOOKS AS YOU WANT!

Ah, the original! So enjoyable. Just recently a nine piece orchestra featuring members of Espers, Fern Knight, and Fursaxa performed a brand new score here in Los Angeles. Believe it or not, the music is even more mystical than the original score...absolutely beyond. I was able to pick up a copy of the new score on LP, so unfortunately it will go unshared, however I'm sure if you searched around the band's name you'd be able to find more information. They call themselves The Valerie Project.
