A/N: This takes place before "The Whole Truth".
Every morning Sun wakes up, pours herself a cup of tea, sits at the breakfast table, and tells herself that today, everything is going to be better.
She tells herself that she will be able to ignore the blood on her husband's clothes and hands. She tells herself that her anger at what he has become will pass. She tells herself that if they do finally conceive, the baby will change everything.
She lies.
The truth is, everything has changed already. Long ago her heart was broken and her soul was bruised when she learned of what Jin had done, who he had become. The truth is that a part of her will never heal and can never forgive. He has become someone that she no longer recognizes and, in effect, killed the man that she had loved.
That was the truth. The truth hurts too much for her to think about. So she lies. She lies to him, to herself, to everyone. She pretends to be happy.
She lies.
