This is my very first icon tutorial. I've never made colors before. I thought these were pretty good, but if you think so otherwise, feel free to tell me what I should have done better or whatever. =D This was made in PSP XI and I have included a psp. Hope you like!

Step 1: Copy background layer and set to screen.
I usually have the opacity at 20 - 40, but it depends on your picture
For this one I set it to 40%

Step 2: Make a fill layer
#340213 set to exclusion 50%

Step 3: Make a new fill layer
#f2fc3a set to soft light 30%

Step 4: Make a new fill layer
#227dfe set to luminance 15%

Step 5: Make a Hue/Sat/Lightness layer
Reds
Saturation: -15
Hue: 0
Lightness: 0

Yellows
Saturation: -10
Hue: 0
Lightness: 0

Step 6: Make a Channel Mixer layer
(Make sure the monochrome is unchecked)
Red: R:100 G:0 B:-10
Green: R:0 G:100 B:-5
Blue: R:0 G:-5 B:100
I set the opacity of this layer to 40%

Step 7: Make a Curves layer
RGB: 102 > 146
Red: 171 > 168
Blue: 142 > 146
Set the layer opacity to 30%

Step 8: Make a fill layer
#041a34 set to exclusion 40%

Step 9: Make a Brightness/Contrast layer
Contrast +5

Step 10: Copy background layer, bring to top and set to soft light
I usually have opacity 25 - 50, but again depends on your picture
On this picture I set it to 25%

You can always play around with the opacities of the layers and such so it works for your picture.

Colour Balance Problems

Everytime I try to use 'Layers - New Adjustment Layer - Color Balance' it turns my entire pallet to greyscale. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get my colors back. I'm sure the solution is right infront of my face I just can't find it. Any ideas?

As many of you know, screen captures from the TV show Supernatural are very difficult to work with, they are dark and most of the time lack in color, which makes it a challenge to create good icons and graphics with them. Because of this, and because I've seen a lot of people asking for help on how to color Supernatural caps, I thought a list like this was long over due.

I will not claim I have every single Supernatural tutorial posted by people on Live Journal listed here, but I think I have around 80% of them, so I hope you'll find something that will help you among them!

I did NOT make any of these tutorials, I only created the previews, full credit goes to the makers of each tutorial for the rest!

I use animation shop to make animations.

But when I save them they end up fuzzy and look bad.

I've tried all the optimization options but it doesn't get better.

I checked the memories but couldn't find anything about this subject.

I'm trying to make an invitation for my niece's 1st birthday party and am duplicating invitation. But is there a way I can make the effect of those flowers, how they are shiny, pearlized type? My sister likes the effect of those flowers, I tried some other effects but really likes this one. I looked through a few memories but I don't even know what this effect is technically called.

I'm using PSP XI. I would appreciate any suggestions please. Thanks.

I just joined the community OwO anyway I have a question about the textures

all the textures that I'm using are black and white, even though that they are supposed to be colored...am I making any sense? (lolz) the point is I downloaded colored textures but when I'm using them on the icons, the colors are not there...just black and white T^T pleeeease someone tell what to do =w=
