Well, my life is pretty simple. As many know, I am married, dont have too much money, and im a straight forward guy who works in Politics. Here is my life in a nutshell: sleep, campaign/work in the legislature, eat, sit on couch, PS3, and sleep some more. Oh, and dont let me forget to mention kicking DUBB's ass in PS3 (should have mentioned that before).
Oh and DUBB, I am listening to the Fray just for you......yea boiiii!!!!!

well holy sweet gotdamn...
I go to download my first wiiware title, world of goo, and FIRST i was surprised to see that it was $15... pretty pricey for something i have no way of playing without buying... but ign gave it a 9.5, and that's good enough for me.
so then i go to actually buy it, and i've already not got enough room to download it!
wii. fail.
i almost have to laugh. how there is LESS THAN ONE GIG of memory on a 'next gen' console is beyond me. i guess msoft was in the same boat with their harddriveless boat. memory is still really THAT expensive? really?
no really?
EDIT
so i went in and deleted some stuff... turns out the channels take up a TON of memory... goodbye Nintendo Channel and Everyone (but me) Votes Channel. I'd really love to ditch the worthless news and weather channels, but i guess they're on there for good now... even though i downloaded them initially. i think... right? or were they there at launch and just didnt work yet? who knows.... i wish they were gone.
i moved Solomon's Key to my memory card, but that was only 20 some blocks.
alright... i've had my say and hated on the wii for a bit. time for jon to explain how 512mb is more than ehough...

So there we lay on the couch this past weekend, chatting away, just SC and me... The signs were a blur, besides I have never been good at reading it anyway. We were laying in the 12 position as we talked, I was the 1 and SC was the 2 (hope that made sense), though SC never actually lay on me, nor did I have my arms around SC. SC simply rested SC's head into the side of my right arm.
A sudden feel of 'OMG this f-ing feels like a relationship' rushes over me as SC was playing with my hand.
I didn't freak out, okay I did, just not on the outside.
It was an odd weekend (weather wise) for So Cal, as it was rather chilly. I asked if SC was cold, asked SC if SC would be more comfortable laying against the back of the couch. Etc. SC said SC was fine.
Then the question arose from SC if I was really moving back to Dallas once I graduate from grad school. Not once but twice.
What the bloody hell is going on?
I know whatever happens, I will not be the one who pursues, it's simply not in my personality.
Argyle is having a crash course on seriously crushing on someone and trying in a vain attempt in reading the signs.

Group Social Dynamics and McCain Rallies
Seems that groups naturally reinforce themselves to more and more extreme positions. A candidate can most certainly nudge the group in one direction or another, but the group has its own dynamics, and will behave in characteristic non-linear ways to a given kind of input.
Neato.

New Oasis album!

Allmusic 5.5 / 6
"This is heavy, murky music, as dense, brutal, and loud as Oasis has ever been"
NME 8 / 10
"More than anything else, there’s a feeling that ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ might actually be their best album in over a decade."
USA Today 3.5 / 4
"But the balance of inspiration seems to be shifting, and that can only be a good thing for this still largely unmatchable rock band's future."
The Guardian 4 / 5
"Dig Out Your Soul is their second coming."
Ryan Adams
"the first time I heard Kid A I went ‘OK, I have no fucking idea what kind of music this is but it's moving me. It sounds like a revelation.’ That's what the new Oasis stuff sounds like, it sounds like they have entered into some strange uncanny spiritual crazy door and have just lost themselves completely to it and it is marvellous."
You can't help but feeling more than just a little interested, when Oasis releases a new album. Especially not when said album is being compared to (What's The Story) Morning Glory - Among the most celebrated British albums ever released.
You also have to admire the promotion: 4 songs from the album was given to street performers/buskers before the release, who played them in the streets of NYC.
It's the second fastest selling album of 2008, despite only being out for a week.
I was very disappointed in the new albums from the big names in brit-pop, namely Keane's "Perfect Symmetry" and Coldplay's "Viva La Vida", both of which seemed pointless and superficial, without any charm.
Oasis - The Shock Of The Lightning
The first single, which needs a lot of attention, because it's everything an Oasis fan has been waiting for.
I've ripped the album and you can download it here, but please if you like it, go buy it. It's well worth the money, and comes with an extra DVD.
Plus, the Gallaghers need more coke, and seeing how Oasis is the last of the old school rock stars, we should support every addiction that keeps them going ;)

dammit... stupid video games...
I'm going to buy my first WiiWare game. Tomorrow. World of Goo. There. I said it. I'm doing it. I don't care about file size.
Also... Saint's Row 2. I'm going to buy it new. I just can't wait. I just... can't. I want to. I can't. Maybe if GameFly had sent me anything other than Lego Indiana Jones, I would be preoccupied, but I just played a ton of excellent Lego Batman, and Indy is a step back, and I'm just not feeling it right now. I need to spray feces on crowds. That's two games in two days. I can't play them at the same time, but I consume.
Also... The LittleBigPlanet Beta is over in a couple hours. I'm kinda glad. That game is a TIME SINK. Seriously. I could barely wipe my ass with it in the house. I'll get a week of fresh air/Saint's Row 2, and then it's me and the house for a week until Fallout 3 hits and REALLY steals every waking moment from me.
Also... The new freaking Golden Axe game comes out this week. Can you believe it? Why is NO ONE talking about this? It must suck. You know that Rygar remake they released on PS2 a few years back? Of course you don't because no one played it. It was actually kinda good, but came and went like a thief in the night. I mean... NEW GOLDEN AXE. Sheesh.
***
Also... We watched 'I Pronounce You Chuck and Larry' this week. Why? Well... I had added all the Adam Sandler films that looked too awful for me to ever bother watching to my Netflix several months ago, and that was one of them. It's the first one in the queue on HDDVD, and as Netflix is ditching the format at the end of the year, I bumped all the HDDVDs up (that's how we got Hustle and Flow last week too). You know what? It's probably very offensive to actual homosexuals, I mean... it's got more gay jokes than a midschool locker room, but it was well played. The characters were decent, Kevin James was very likable, Jessica Biel was hot, it had lots of zingers and a terrible storyline. I expected less, and was glad I got more. It's still a sophomoric, homophobic by-the-books buddy comedy. 'Let's Go To Jail' and 'Grandma's Boy' were better.
***
Also... I want sleep.
