yes, there are rules. plainly because a community without rules will not run smoothly, in my opinion.
i ask you to please plug us in your userinfo. the only reason i ask you to do this is to in the end, help you. if more people find out about this and start joining and plugging, then you'll have more people to advertise your community to. if you follow no other rules, just follow this one, please.
link us in your userinfo, and if you own the community you're promoting, that would be great if you put it in that info page as well, but it isn't required. chances are i will let people's posts through that have links to us in their profile, than posts by people without. thanks!

- it's a rating community.
- you posted the community tag or something else 10 trillion times.
- your banner/pictures/etc. are too big.
- you post a link to the "join" page of your community instead of the info page.
- i think the post is very spammy.
- it's another promotion community.
- it's not a livejournal community.
- bad html and stuff like that, but usually I give you 24 hour notice.
