CARE fair offers free services for the uninsured

Utahns without health insurance can get free medical and dental care next week at a three-day health fair organized by the Junior League of Salt Lake City.
Routine medical services - including, physicals, immunizations and hearing, vision, dental, diabetes, cholesterol and HIV screenings - will be provided free at the event, Aug. 11-13. Appointments aren't necessary and anyone is eligible.
All a person must do, say organizers, is show up at the Horizonte Instruction and Training Center at 1234 S. Main Street during the following dates and times:
* Aug. 11: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
* Aug. 12: noon to 8 p.m.
* Aug. 13: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In addition to on-site exams, vouchers for free off-site mammograms will be available. People may enter drawings for health- and safety-related items, such as car seats and bike helmets. Also, interpreters and representatives from 50 government social services agencies will be on hand to answer questions about qualifying for various aid programs, from food stamps and legal aid to subsidized housing.

Dear SLC Cine Lover,

The Library is hosting blow-out free party on Friday. Real Salt Lake ,
our new professional soccer team, will be playing an earth-bound
version of Quidditch, fortune tellers and tea-leaf readers will reveal
you future, jugglers and magicians will be on hand as well. Kids can
become pieces in a life-size chess tournament. Take your turn sitting
under the Hogwarts Sorting Hat and find out in which house you belong.

Wizards from the clark Planetarium will be here and your visit to
Hogwarts will include classes in Divination, Transfiguration, Potions,
Herbology, Runes, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Care of Magical
Creatures and more.

Come dressed as your favorite Harry Potter character and enter the
costume contest and see  all 3 HARRY POTTER movies (see above for
times). The movies start at 3PM and the rest of the festivities start
at 6PM.

Become a member of the Order of the Phoenix by bringing a can or box of
food to donate to the Urban Crossroads Center. Shop the stores of
Diagon Alley for a magic wand, a box of Bertie Botts Every Flavour
Beans, Chocolate Frogs, Ice Mice, Fizzing Whizbees and more.
