Welcome to [info]prodigaltunes! This is a music sharing community intent on helping you find new music~. Various types of music will be posted here, but it will typically be alternative/rock/pop in English and rock in Japanese with the occasional other language or genre thrown in.
I want to try and make this community different from others. I want to have actual discussions about the music. If you disagree with my comments, say so! On most things uploaded I will leave a fairly detailed comment saying what I think about it (in most cases, fangirling ^^;). Feel free to comment on that. I will reply back to you. I don't bite either~. Suggestions are always welcome.

☆ rules;
I'd like to think I'm rather laid back about rules, however, a few things need to be said.

  • If you are taking something, it'd be nice if you commented. I understand sometimes people don't feel like commenting. I understand that yes, I will have 200 downloads and only 10 people commenting. I won't start locking music because of that. However, I'd love to start a discussion. If you want to say how much you love a certain song on an album, or think so-and-so's older works are better, say so! I will respond to your comments. :)

  • Don't redistribute my files. It takes a long time to upload things. Feel free to point somebody in the direction of this community though!

  • If you need something uploaded to another server, ask. I may or may not do it, depending of if I still have the file on my computer. Chances are I'll say sure, no problem. Sometimes I will have to say sorry, I cannot do that. I usually upload to more than one server, so hopefully you'll fine one that works for you.
    I upload to Mediafire, Megaupload, and Sendspace. Those are the only sites I will upload too, unless you ask nicely or point me in the direction of a better uploading site.

  • Feel free to join or watch. As of now, I will not lock anything so it is not required that you join. However, I may lock some personal rips of mine later due to the fact... I ripped them from my own CDs and it took me longer. >_>;; Other than that, files will remain public. I hate communities that make you join to see files. I don't want to be one of those people. Let's try to get along, 'kay? :D

  • I am not responsible with what you do with the files you download after 24 hours. The law states that you are to delete them off your computer. Take note, I take no responsibility. If you like an artists music, SUPPORT THEM! I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH. Support your favorite artists. There are plenty of sites you can buy CDs from... and there's also your local music shop/CD store/mall/retail store/etc. where you can buy CDs! And iTunes. Don't forget about that! So, support artists. If you need help finding a site where you can buy a CD, ASK ME. I'll help you.
