The Art of Procrastination

I-it's been half a year since I updated this?? SO MUCH FAIL. I've been amazingly terrible at actually drawing in recent times-- for some reason I've been really, really uninspired. And whatever I doodle looks terrible anyway so I don't put them up. So that's why I haven't been updating.

Anyway.

Let's start off the New Year with an attempt to update this more regularly!

I've actually been drawing! Earlier in December I finally found my drawing groove again. I... drew a lot of ridiculous things and have yet to sort them out to post them here, and kind of gave up doing that. So let's round up 2008 with an art meme.

IN OTHER EXCITING NEWS! If you don't know yet, paralinguistic and I are starting on a collaborative project together called The Red Journeyman. I-IT'S VERY EXCITING AND I AM EXCITABLE AND also am wondering when I am going to get off this high but it has been a couple of days and I have yet to so IDK MAN. It will probably progress slowly lol real life but I think we are both determined to make this work! LOOK OUT FOR THAT?

Also, to distract you all! Dear Lulu seems like a fantastic idea for a colour/type/pattern test for printers. The book is entertaining to look at – it looks like a lot of hard work, as well as fun and imagination, which is awesome working combination there! I've only just graduated and am really starting to pay attention / learn about the quality of printers, so this pings me right in my geeky nerdy place. I haven't quite looked at all the pages carefully, but have only skimmed through it, but it does seem useful!

Aha, Michael C. Place uses correction tape to do up a mural for a Pritt ad. Apart from it being pretty, it's fun watching how dramatic they made the video.

Scott Campbell's watercolours and artwork are amazing! I've always been fascinated by watercolour work, and am like, unable to do it. Ahah!

So! After 2 months of not drawing, not updating my sketch blog, I finally sort of found my drawing groove again! Shock and amazement. ANYWAY. I was :D enough to decide that I'd like a new space to spam my stuff with, and decided to finally get around to making a doodleblog of sorts on LJ. Which admittedly was always more convenient, actually, organization/communication-wise.

A few intentions with a new doodleblog! Fresh new start and all that. I'd like to get back to drawing, first off, and continue putting up even awful scribbles because why not. I also will hopefully link COOLER PEOPLE on this blog because MAN SOME DAYS I SEE THE MOST AWESOME ART ON THE INTERWEBS. I would never be half as cool as these people I will link, which is exactly why you should click those links!!1 :DDD!! :DDDDDDD!!
