anaweigh@yahoo.com AboutI myself, am a plus size, so this community is for "plus size" people who want to be size 0 (or basically, VERY thin). I am starting this community because I was not really satisfied with any of the others I found... Either no one posted for days (even weeks) at a time, or I was just "unworthy" to be part of them.
As the saying goes "you want something done right, do it yourself". So the idea here is that this will be a place for other people with weight issues who are *currently* not at their "goal weight" to discuss issues we face, while creating support through others. Giving and receiving advise, things we've done that have or have not worked to change weight and more.
However, this is more than about just "getting healthy". It is extreme on both sides. It is for people who are considered "obese" who have a STRONG desire to get down to a size that is under weight, in other words a BMI of at least 17 or below.
It is NOT for people who just want to "learn ana tips to get skinny cuz they're overweight". Anorexics/Bulimics AND other people with ED's are NEVER amused with people like that. If you are looking for quick fix TEMPORARY tricks to lose weight, it's called "Google search" try it sometime. It is also not a place for immaturity. Constructive critisism is GOOD, anyone just popping on to name call and discriminate will not be tolerated.
I'd like this place to be THINspiring. When you look through other communities related to ana/mia, agrivation begins when FAKE people think they can sneak in. No one wants to deal with them, and they distract focus and lead to mockery and unwanted tension due to distrupting trust and belittling REAL issues and those who actually deal with real problems every day.
Frankly I do not expect to form an "allience" with the other pro ana/mia communities out there. However, I would also never deny the idea. Of course it would be nice if we could all be supportive of each other and have that many more people in our "circle" to look to for support, direction and ultimately all help each other to be strong, and stay strong.
So, for anyone out there who is SERIOUSLY struggling with their weight because you are a plus size and want to be thin, this can be your haven. Again, I hate to be a broken record but this is NOT a place for people who just want some "quick tricks" to lose a few pounds fast, or people to point fingers and cause "insult to injury"... I think I speak for all of us when I say we get enough of that from ourselves when we look in a mirror or at our scale every day. In conclusion, the main goal in the end is to build a "community" of people who can relate to one another and ultimately encourage, support and help one another through our struggles on our way to becoming thin.
