I wrote these a couple months ago but didn't pimp them on this comm since I always feel like I'm spamming (this is what comes from years and years of lurking but never participating and having an overblown guilt complex that finds all sorts of weird ways to manifest itself), but here is some raven drabbley love from me.
Title: Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Raven
Summary: A series of thirteen drabbles looking obliquely at the Monster Raven. Various characters and various implied pairings.
Genre: Angst
Disclaimer: The usual. None of this is mine except for what is. A/N: The structure of these drabbles is based on Wallace Stevens’ famous imagist poem “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird” which I will adapt for my own nefarious purposes (Stevens' full poem also included at the end).

I don't mean to spam, but I was poking around wikipedia looking for raven mythology and found an article which I thought might be interesting to people in this comm (especially to people who want to write AU fics about raven!Fakir).
Danish folklore about the valravn, the raven of the slain, which can take on the form of a knight after consuming the heart of a child.

Most of you know me as 18-year-old Drosselmeyer, or "Ross", on the DR. In fact, that persona came from a fanfic that never went anywhere called Because She Bled Ink. I adapted Ross's backstory for the DR, and...it's really grown and changed in a good way because of that. I'm inspired to write another fanfic, using this backstory's plot.
It's called Stars With Tails of Fire and Dews of Blood, which I know is a mouthful. Think Tutu episodes, but angstier, with more writing, and using Shakespeare plays instead of classic ballet and fairytales as a jumping-off point.
Here I have for you a cover and the prelude, A Fault Not In The Stars. I'm looking for feedback as to whether I should continue writing, drop the project, what you'd like to see in the story, etc. Keep in mind the prelude takes place after the events, and the story itself is about Ross and Dale's Romeo-and-Juliet esque romance. As in, they fall quickly and stupidly in a love that's horrible for both and ends up killing about half the cast with them (although not because they can't bear to be without each other, but because they can't bear to be with each other). Star-crossed doesn't mean romantic, it means destined for doom.

I don't know if this has been done already... but all the recent reflection about the late, great Michael got me thinking...
This is a request for your art (whether drawn, written, animated, etc) depicting your favorite Kinkan Town ballet academy students, and inspired by Michael Jackson. I would call it a challenge, and if there are any rules I should be aware of please let me know because I've never done this before!
If I was talented, I'd probably draw Fakir, Billie Jean style... but I'm not. So I hope some of you want to do this, and take this up. I'm really looking forward to the results!

Wig help!!
I'm looking to cosplay as Ahiru/Tutu at AB'10 and I'm pretty sure I know what wig I'd want for Tutu, but I need help for Ahiru. No matter what, I'm gonna have to give it a cut to get the short top, get a pink wig and do a sharpie bath to get the orangish tint, but which of these do you think would work the best for Ahiru?

Wig #1: style bangs differently, but long enough

Hello!
I just finished the Princess Tutu anime, and I absolutely loved it. So sweet, beautiful, and sad. ;____; ♥
I haven't seen many anime series, or read that much manga, so I was hoping for some recommendations on what to watch and/or read next. Basically, what are your favorite anime and manga that are close in theme to Tutu or that a fan of Tutu might like?
As for me, I had seen Revolutionary Girl Utena before Princess Tutu, and I loved both. I think they share a lot of themes: growing up, unrequited love, princes and princesses, etc.

Hey guys! I originally meant to scan one two things to post over on the love meme before, but my scanner crapped out on me. I managed to miraculously fix it today, so... I decided to scan a heck of a lot more and make a post out of it! (And probably more to come.)

UHUM. Okay. So... I am Thai. This is my first post.
I first watched PT about a year ago (oh god I feel old) and... ended up not finishing it, because I was lame and didn't bother finding episode 13 when I couldn't seek it out on YouTube. But about five, six months ago I watched the entire series. And started lurking in the DR. Which was when I found here. Where I lurked briefly, and then went away, and then lurked again, and then... yeah. Spastic lurker, I am one. ... Then I decided to make my grand entrance. And thus this post was born.
