jupiter_star 		So, right now Dot Moon is in voting for the 2007 Universal Fanfiction Awards, and their Princess Tutu category is EXTREMELY strong and full this year! (There's like 8 or 9 entries, a few of which have even been posted on this community before...yay for us!) So if you guys are looking for some new and excellent Tutu fics that you might not have read before, go check out the 2007 nominees and read away. And if you find one you really like, maybe vote, but mostly go read and feel happy because of the existence of awesome Tutu fic ^_^.

Iiii... do not feel the need to put this picture behind an lj-cut, seeing as how it's innocent and smallish. That and lj-cuts hate my guts to death. They do. Anyhow, felt the need to do fanart. I can't draw humans well (Gods, human anatomy, go to hell please *bashes head on desk*), so I made them kitties. Because I can.



Yay kitties! Click it for larger version. By the way... Fakir's hair and bangs exhist to torment me. WHAT kind of hairstyle IS that? *Worships whomever had to animate this character; his bangs = hard imho*

demishock 		Good lord, I thought I'd already joined this place! Apparently I was mistaken. At any rate, I've certainly been watching it for a good while. Hello, all~

As the subject implies, I've come with a question. I know that a few posts down, there's discussion of manga!Edel, but what are some of the other main differences between the anime and the manga? Particularly in terms of character relationships... All I've really been able to find out via google are things like the fact that Drosselmeyer's not in the manga and Mytho's not a prince (is Fakir a knight? Is Rue the raven's "daughter"?). Any further information would be greatly appreciated!

As for the other part of the subject, I didn't want to just post asking for information and give nothing back to the community, especially on my first post, so I'm offering up the couple of Princess Tutu icons that I've made (pretty much all of them were made for [info]pt_icontest so people here may have already seen them, but they're all I've got. XD;)

happy_starlight 		I come with... two more drabbles. One of which I'm not going to upload into ff.net (yet) because something tells me it's a bit too weird to upload there xD; so you can read it, instead, in this post.

Title: Trial and Error
Theme: #81. Pen and Paper
Characters: Fakir, Ahiru
Rating: PG-ish

Summary: Fakir deals with having to turn Ahiru back, from duck to human
Notes: I blame this on the candy bar I ate at 3am when I wrote this. That, and the fact people always make Ahiru's transformation from duck to girl really dramatic, while I think that it would, instead, probably be rather hilarious due to the endless possibilities.

I am a Drabble link. Yup!

This next Drabble is under an LJ-cut; it's the one I'm probably going to refrain from posting in ff.net because uh, yeah. It's odd XD

Title: The Cat Thinks
Theme: #23. Cat

Rating: PG - 13 due to Miss Kitty's colorful thoughts

Summary: Miss Kitty deals with her owner's ineptitude at love.
Notes: Again, blame my very cracky mind, and the fact I keep thinking that Ahiru would adopt any stray animal to cross her path if given the chance. This ficlet is entirely from Miss Kitty's POV; she's, in fact, a perfectly normal, black cat. Also, wow, this is one of the first times I've attempted 1st person; I'm not used to it.


Edit: It wooooooorks! Halleluyah, after three tries, the lj-cut finally works. Yay me! *headdesk*

So I was wondering if anyone knows where to download any Princess Tutu themed winamp skins? I've tried at the English fan-site "Once Upon a Time" but sadly, none of the links for downloading the only available skins work any longer (particularly the Fakir one. Darn...). 
I hope someone can help with this, erm, situation...

11:56 am - Fakiru kink meme fanart

mangaka_chan 		A while ago there was a Fakiru kink meme that [info]serika_san put up. The idea was to do a kink fanfic or fanart based on a prompt. Being 22 years old and hopefully possessing the maturity to handle this sort of stuff, I thought I'd give it a try especially since I had drawn Kris' birthday present earlier. The end product turned out to be much less kinky than the prompt suggested but never the less was a step forward for me in drawing intimate couples fanart. XD;;

About the fanart, I posted it at my new fanart journal [info]pallid_rose. Now I will say that if you are not into the Fakiru pairing or do not see the two of them in a romantic relationship this fanart may not be for you so do not click on the link! There's no nudity or anything suggestive but it's is after all for a kink meme, and there is some fetish element in the picture. The mood of the picture is also much more serious and mature than most of my previous works so I'm giving it a PG to PG-13 rating.

happy_starlight 		I have not written fics in a VERY long time (I've always been more into roleplay *scratches head* long forum roleplay or simple AIM rp), however, I'm proud to say this show has kind of wiggled my fanfic muse out of it's... what, four year stupor? I'm not even sure. Anyhow. Yeah. Writing muse has been wiggled into living, specially now that something called 'Drabble' has been discovered by this lazy author whom always gets ideas for fics, but is too.... lazy, usually, to make them multi-chapter...ed (Is this even a word?).

Thus, with the discovery of drabbles and the inspiration I got from the show, I said to myself, "Hey Self; you should write fanfiction!"

8:57 pm - A Day in the Life of Poly!Fakir (15 sketches - IMAGE HEAVY)

serika_san 		After months of being elusive and basically inactive, my art must finally bit me hard a few nights ago. And after I did a few sketches, I realized they started to have a theme to them - and they were also all related to the Polychromatic RP that I play Fakir at.

And so I composed them into this series of sketches and dialogs/explanations that go with them. If you don't want to get lost while reading this, I'd suggest looking through what's said about each picture so you can make some sense of it (even if you have no clue about Poly - here's one thing: It has many modern-type things in "The City", technology, and our dear PT crew lives in an abandoned Opera House that they've been slooowly spiffing up over time. Another thing to be clear about here is that the characters at Poly have aged from canon. I brought Fakir a little later than post-series, at 17, and I've been playing him almost two years now,  so he's 19 - even though most of these sketches are pretty chibi-like anyway).

Warnings: PG? There's nothing offensive here. These are all little sketches and nothing is really meant to be a work of art or anything of the like. Although for Anonymous's sake, I ALMOST went back and drew Fakir in a pedobear costume by suggestion of Rue-mun. Sorry, anon. You'll have to wait until next time. : (

magicdragonomg 		It's about time we started one: a Fan History Wiki for Princess Tutu. I noticed a few important fans like Mangaka-chan were registered, but I didn't see a page for PT. D:

Though I haven't created a Wiki before, I got in gear and started one a little while ago. There isn't much, but then again, it was just added today. You can find the under construction Princess Tutu FH Wiki here.
