OPPORTUNISTICE'S TOP FIVES: An Emotionally Magnificent Celebration of The Office

Wilkommen, bienvenue, and welcome to:
OPPORTUNISTICE'S TOP FIVES:
An Emotionally Magnificent Celebration of The Office!

FEEL FREE TO LINK TO THIS ANYWHERE. It's totally unlocked for everyone.
This took me a little over three weeks to put together. A lot of not-having-a-life and procrastinating for finals, haha. Yes, it does mention every single episode. Most of them, multiple times.

Some tips & reminders:
1. Go away for 5-10 minutes and let this load. This is effing HUGE.

2. Please don't take my collages and make them into icons or something. I'm planning to do that. SO I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN.

3. Enjoy! Flip through it quickly or take an hour to read and admire - whatever. Have fun!

Let's begin...

This is, I think, one of the first conference room meetings for ridiculous things. And we learn that dear Angela has dermatitis.
And "a uterus is different from a vagina," LOL. Amazing.

I just watched this last night! It cracks me up every time. Dwight vs. entire office + Andy trying to butt in = awesome comedy.
The beginning part with the figurine going out of focus is kind of freaky, hahaha. I don't know about you, but I keep an eye out for that in other episodes.
Just because... I'm weird like that.

LOL, I swear, I just started cracking up as soon as I saw this collage again. Dwight stealing the ball, FTW. And how they wait for Pam.
So much props to her for starting a prank! Very FNB.

Dammit, I just realized that I left out the Threat Level: Midnight conference room scene! That's sooo epic! I have a feeling I'm going to be feeling like I left stuff out the whole time, haha.
Anyway, this is great from a Jam perspective becaaaause Jim's like holding her in excitement AND I'M SORRY I'M SO FANGIRLY.
Anyway, it's great, because I always do that. And you know you do too. And group dynamic happiness is the best kind.

Okay, do I even have to explain? "Don't drop the soap, don't drop the soap!"

We see too much of assclown!Michael. Here are five examples that prove he's just kind of oblivious and kind of sweet.

Awww. Michael and kids. And the fact that it's Toby's kid and he still is so nice to her just makes me so happy.

I don't blame Jan for making out with him after this. He takes full responsibility and is just a gentleman.
Even though it's his retardedness that got them into that whole situation in the first place. Whatever, DON'T QUESTION MY CHOICES!

AWWWWWWWW, come on! On the commentary, I think it's BJ (or Rainn?) who's like, "I don't get why this is so touching?"
It's because Pam's life is sucking and Michael races across town because he's such a sweetheart.
And then he's so genuinely impressed by her art (the prettiest art of all the art) and just awww.
And then the whole "chunky" thing lightens it up a little and then it's just classic office bittersweet funniness.

Aww, this is almost sad. He's just watching TV alone.
Somebody should make babies with him...
...JAN?

Maybe I just picked this because I love all/any Michael/Jim interaction.
But regardless, just aww.

HEY, don't kill me. I'm sorry if I'm a fan of angst.
But just how drunk he is and still how excited Pam gets... it just kills me. It's like, DUDE, he's drunk and basically proposing to you. Don't be excited!
Sighh.

No. Words.
Except "I don't remember doing that."
"What a surprise."

BAHAHAHA. It might have been sad (ish) if it hadn't been Roy.
And that picture, lsfjd0948trsj.

TUNAAAA, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! Heh.

This was actually the first collage I made of all of these, believe it or not!
Actually, you can probably tell, as I put more effort into the coloring than any of the rest and the format's kind of different from the rest
Anyway, nothing really can explain my love for drunk!Pam. This was one of the first episodes I saw and... yeah. First impression of Pam was quite different than it should've been.

They're always talking about how Rainn's always consuming outrageous things, hah.

He looks so upset! He really wants the job. Look at that determination.

Ahhhha, the fact that Dwight brought his own food to a party he wasn't even invited to just kills me.
"I've seen you eat it many times."
That opens up a whole new realm for kinky Dwangela + beets fanfiction.

LOOOL. Penis. "I want some man meat!" Sorry. Moving on...

HELLZ YEAH! Win for Pam's investigative powers.
But come on, Baby Ruth? When there's Twix in that machine? At least, I think there is.

This is probably the broadest joke in all of Office history, and it has me on the floor every time. Every time I eat pancakes, I have to go "I want... the branch."
I think this episode has WAY too much hate. I'm pretty sure it's one of my favorites.

What!? Is this only 5th? Anyway, the length of this is so brilliant.
And one of the most epic lines in the entire series, written by Mr. Lieberstein.
You know you're obsessed when you know who wrote what episode. Hah.

Ahh. Greatness. It's so irrelevant and the music doesn't match at all (though the U2 fan in me did squee a bit).
"Try on Phyllis's pants." I remember my brother just went into splits at that.

Because corporate are a bunch of wet blankets.
YOU HAVE A SON, AND IT'S ME.

This was the VERY first episode I ever saw. (Yeah, I'm a fairly new fan, actually, but when I get obsessed, I go HARD. Twss!)
Therefore this was my first scene I ever saw... and that's just awkward. I didn't get it at all. I thought Michael had a son or something. I don't even know, hahaha.

It's embarrassing to admit how much I quote this. BUT THE LITTLE CARS GO IN THE COMPACT SPOT.

05. Pros: He's classy. He gets me. He went to Cornell. I trust him. Cons: I don't really trust him. -Michael, Beach Games

04. Big Tuna is a super ambitious guy, you know? "Cut your throat to get ahead" kind of guy, but, I mean, I'm not threatened by him. I went to Cornell, ever heard of it? -Andy, Gay Witch Hunt

03. I graduated from anger management the same way I graduated from Cornell. On time. -Andy, The Negotiation

02. I forgot to tell you the plan for this Saturday. You, me, bars, beers, buzzed. Wings. Shots. Drunk. Waitresses, hot. Football - Cornell/Hofstra. Slaughter. Then a quick nap at my place and we'll hit the tiz-own. -Andy, The Return

01. The capital of Maine is Montpelier, Vermont, which is near Ithaca, New York, where I went to Cornell. -Andy, The Job

The Michel-too-horny hug. I'm just glad he said "I need a girlfriend." ...or am I?
I think I may be a closet Ryan/Michael shipper.

Huggy hugs!
I say this in real life all the time. Becauuuse I'm a loser. But it's adorkable.

Heeeeeeee *creepy pervy grin*
Anyone else love the way his arm always goes all the way around her? It's just. Aw. And it's been so long. And she got all dressed up. And.

Look at that expression in the first picture. He knows he'll miss him. Godddd the ANGST.
Not really. But this is just epic.
I speak such fandomspeak. Epic/angst/win/lose.

YES, I'm allowed to do two collages of this moment. Because it's so cute. Scroll up to see my flailery on that.

They have the best two-person dynamic EVAR.
Except like, Rainn/John. And John/Jenna. And John/Steve and Rainn/Stever and Rainn/Angela AND STOP.
I love Dwandy. I think I spent a solid fifteen seconds trying to think of a way their names fit together. Dunder Mifflinfinity.

RACING STRIPE!? LOLs. Angela power. Sorry, I'll try to be coherent.
Ummm. 3, 2, 1, SELL ME THE CAR.
Poor Andy's so intimidated.

"Talk me through an apendectomy. Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, Step 3..." I love bloopers. And the extended version of this scene.
But I think what they kept in is also great. "Black - it is most dominant." Ahh. So intense.

OH, D! I think this might be the minute I knew for sure that I was a hardcore Dwight/Angela shipper. I was so happy for him, and just like, HAHA ANDY YOU'RE SO OBLIVIOUS.
Victory sips all around.

Wholesies. As you wish, fair Dwight.
That third cap kind of creeps me out. Dwight looks like an alien.

I don't know why this wasn't in the original air! It's sooo funny.
"You drive an X-Earth?"

Haha, Michael. No, you can't win the incentive. "I didn't mean me!"
God, I'm probably quoting this all wrong.

And that's how I learned what the hell a terrarium was.
See picture number three for a Dwight!face. Quite the rarity!

First off, EW on the text for this one. What was I was thinking.
On a less technical note, I love whenever Jim does "Question:"s. It makes the fact that I do that ALL the time a little more acceptable.
I think this was the worst of the Johnwig. It's almost cringe-worthy.

I just.. ahahah. WHY does he need to know? Do we want to know? He'd probably eat his shoes. Or do something with them that I probably can't even imagine.

Self-explanatory. Too many reasons why this just wins.

Because season 2 Jim sadness is what made us fall in love with him in the first place.

Doubting all of his pranks.
My coloring makes this look like a spray-tanner disaster.
Anyway, this is kind of sad because it's a "what am I doing with my life" moment. You're making funnies, Jim! Don't be saad!

"I have no future here."
Hearts sink, lives shatter.

Ahhh. He seems like he's actually trying!
And then it, like, oh no, fail, Dwight got to him first.
=(

Uh... try the whole episode. Poor kid has to eat in the bathroom.
And just JIM and PAM and SAD.
But he goes home satisfied. 'Cause he knows what it's called when you have a thing stuck in your shoe.

Can I keyboard smash for a minute?
2309r8sjvisfj-pajvsjJ0JKLJF0W9S8203JFLJSFL
Okay. Need I say more? We already knew he was lusting after Pam, but he's keeping his career from advancing because of a relationship that seems to have no future?
Heartbreak.
I think I might need to go look at some JKras-in-a-beard pictures to make myself feel better.
I'm sorry. I really will stop now.

05. Babe - Michael/Jan
04. Oscar Mayer Weiner Lover - Oscar
03. D - Dwight
02. Big Tuna - Jim
01. Temp - Ryan

"more like Pam Babely."

05. Pama-lama-ding-dong - given by Michael/Andy
04. Pan - given by Dwight
03. Spamster - given by Michael
02. Pamcasso - given by Michael
01. Fancy New Beesly - given by Jim

His enthusiasm here is what really gets to me.
Man, it looks so nice and sunny. I'd run away.
I bet Toby did.

"I don't have a lot of art."
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.
Cap number three, omg. Creepster.
This was the very last collage I made of the 156. Yep.

This is so kickass because Brian go to show off his SKILLZ. And he really did make all those shots in a row.
Also, fun fact: this is the only time this episode is mentioned in this picspam.
Kind of sad, really, because this is such a great episode. I say you go watch it after you finish.

Awwww, Kev! I'm so sorry about Stacey. I love how he's at a loss for words.
"It's just nice to win one."

fj942uaskdfp2398rwfjasd
!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111onefivenine

I think Oscar seriously doesn't get enough love. He's so snobby and has some of the best lines.

Nard dawg. I think I hated him with passionate fire until he came back from anger management. His annoyingness had reached a zenith and I couldn't see how they could shift from unbearable to just plain comedic, but they've done it! Andy screen time = the best screen time.

Duh.

I think I might be alone when I say that fuckedup!Jan is one of the best things about the show. Her slow descent from being the sane, bitchy, corporate one to this melodramatic girlfriend character is just sheer brilliance.
That One Night... the night of the The Client. Her life made the most unexpected turn.
I hope she's not gone forever after Dinner Party! I love Melora.

I don't think I can express my love for Angela in words.
...no, I can't. I'm trying.
She's just. Wow. I love her. I think she deserves opening credits time.

Michael + IT guy + turban = awesomeness squared.
"Nice guy - not a terrorist."
He listens to NPR and hip hop!

Asswipe!
Actually, just entertainment.
Why would you want to become a Benjamin Franklin impersonator? Especially 'cause he had syphillis?
Oh, what's that? It's a "gray area" of his life? BS! DON'T FUCK HIM, PAM!
(/don't murder him, Dwight!)

I'm biased because I'm having an affair with Amy Adams.
But she plays Pam 6.0 pretty well. Kind of preppy and ditzy.
But I did feel bad for her when Jim dumped her. So I think that means something.

Just looking at these caps make me laugh. Her eyes. Shock. Disapproval.
It's like ABW version of Angela.

You knew this was coming.

There are so many good ones - they need recognition! Please take the time to watch these!

Just filled with fun. It makes me fall in love with the show all over again every time.

I have three andemarg videos on here, haha. This is soo sweet and voiceovers are fantastic.

The editing! Genius!

Another video that makes me fall in love all over again. It really captures the essence of the show.
And of course, the song is so badass.

I numbered this wrong! It should be number 1.
I'm not going to lie - I tear up every time I see this one. I think it's a combination of the strength of the music and the speed and the engulfingness of the quick cuts.
I never cry during movies, let alone videos, but there's something about this that really gets to me. Watch this!

The post-angst passionate-Italian-food kiss. I remember watching this and just squeeing my feet off.
Ohhh, pre-strike hourlongs.
Again, I feel like a minority when I say that I loved them.
I don't love all the episodes equally, though it may seem like that. I'm just very fond of the show right now.
GOD THE FINALE. I can't wait.

He doesn't even want to kiss her. She, like, forces herself on him! Win!

Ahh can I firstly say that I love the coloring on this?
Also. Ah. I love caps three and four. Michael knows he's in trouble... and then Jan realizes. THECAMERASOFDOOM.

NO THIS ISN'T CHEATING BECAUSE I made the kiss collages before this episode aired and if I had KNOWN, then I wouldn't have...
Just. Awwwww. Pam has such an awful day and just alsjf9. Jamsquee.
Cap four is definition of "awkward."

HOT AND HEAVY.
Tales of bravery.
Someone's getting some cookie tonight.

Please don't make me talk about this. I'll start weeping tears of sad and sweet and all that is the wonder of Casino Night.

FINALLY, right?

Underrated. This is genius.
And Dwight actually answering Jim's question and Kevin and HAHA.

"This happens sometimes."

CLASSIC!
Dwight is so angry.
And Michael is gravely concerned for starving children.
"How did you know it was me!?"

How does he even come up with this stuff!?
All the way in Stamford where he's Tuna-ing it up and being BFFs with Josh and screwing Karen?

All this win for only $11!

An ode to a past fandom (slash I'm still super excited for the Half Blood Prince movie).
NERD. That's why I'm not on the team.

Okay, I'm so glad he picked Prisoner of Azkaban. PoA OWNS Sorcerer's Stone's ass.

He's actually reading from it!
*is lame and found the page*

Slytherin are the bad guys, Jim!
Cap three... Kevin's like "V," Karen's like "OL," and Jim's like "DEMORT."
I also like the coloring on this one. Especially cap two.

I'm pretty sure Pam and Jim read each other Harry Potter every night.
I'm also pretty sure Dwight agreed to a bedtime story because Jim suggested Harry Potter, not 'cause he doesn't want to fail TripAdvisor.

Wow, Prison Mike, I sure don't want to go to prison now!
Angela is full of disapproval in cap one.

Michael to Michael. Because poor thing - he doesn't know when to stop.
People never tell him stuff, and when he does, he's so excited, he has to FUCKING TELL PAM HOW MUCH JIM WANTS HER SOUL.

"Mailboxes Etc?"
This sure as hell ain't some woman's trouble.

WHUUUUT!? He married a WHITE chick!?

PEEEEEEEENIS.
I think that was the objective of this episode. Penis penis penis.
Alien.

HELLO KITTY BACKPACK.
Diss Mike's girl and he'll "shut it" your ass, Ang.
This is also the best because it is the most drawn out.

05. Absofruitley.
04. Yesh.
03. GD / BFD
02. That's what she said.
01. Shuuuut it!

I wish I were skilled in the area of animation-making, because then we could get the full effect of the subtle turn and
POW! Eyes.

No waii, did that cokehead just ask my FNB out!?
And then give me a PROBATION!?
I'm staring at this and I'm laughing. Oh no. Make it stooop.

Karen does it better, in my opinion.
It's okay, Jim. You tried.
Consolation prize: frumpy chick who has semi-Beesly hair and shirt. Have fun.

Okay, extra points for this one because it's a two person talking head, my favorite kind!
I'd brush my teeth after robbing a bank, too.

I searched the internets far and wide for the perfect cap of this face.
I think it really captures the essence of the mixture of "hey, what the hell!" and "Pam's kind of the most adorable thing in the world."

Steamy... more like topsy turvy, sordid, strenuous, turgid, torpor, and corrugated.

WOW! Look at the LUST.
It's so unacceptable.

It's a little too steamy for Dwight to handle. Look at cap four.
Angela's so proud.
IT'S YOUR FAULT HE GOT FIRED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Awwwww.
"Break left!"

Seven degrees of disapproval and turn-on right there.
Their relationship is so complex.
And that out-of-focus little smile that Angela does is SO perfect.

NO. COOKIE.
Cue Ryan's epic talking head.
There are so many thing about this scene that I love. "Discussing finances."
BUT WHAT IF I'M HUNGRY!?

...or he said.

"Don't you dare."
Look how offended Michael is. That's his joke, dammit!
DOUCHE!ANDY can go die in a fire and be born anew as Drew, alright?

Aw. This is so sweet and sad. It fits into so many categories - TWSS moments, Michael being sweet moments, Jim's life sucks moments...
Do you really think Jim'll still be there in ten years? Even with Fancy New Graphic Design Beesly and newfound ambition?
I didn't care for this episode too much, but this tag saved it.

He gets the little "go-ahead" from Packer. LOVE IT.
And Jan's all like "not my sense of humor," "I have no soul..."

...but she redeems herself by letting one slip!
"Oh my god, what am I saying?" HA.
I think her struggle to admit how attracted she really is to Michael makes for fantastic television. I mean, anything that gives us moments like this...

Jim knows it's coming. Angela disapproves. Michael is Michael.
Reasons why this is the best "that's what she said."

Streaming mascara x 4! Tears of Ryan.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I HAVE NO LIFE OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
Yeah, those are symmetical. Count if you want to.
Notice how she's wearing pink in ALL of these moments. I so did not plan that. She just wears pink too damn much.

You knoooow Ryan got a little sexcited. "OOH, I MADE A BABY!" PSYCHHHHH!
Kelly's little head-shake is so much adorable.

Reasons why Kelly is my hero:
"...Beyonce, pink the color, Pink the person, hot dogs, basically anything that is awesome, snow cones..."

Helllllz yeah. Bitch don't talk trash.
What a modest shirt you have on, Kells! You're ugly and I know it for a fact.
I wish I had gotten a cap of "RIGHT THERE!"

05. Respect. R-E-S-P-svee-T. Find out what it means to me. -Michael, Women's Appreciation

04. People I respect, heroes of mine, would be Bob Hope... Abraham Lincoln, definitely. Bono. And probably God would be the fourth one. And I just think all those people really helped the world in so many ways that it's really beyond words. It's really incalclable. -Michael, Pilot

03. Should I have reported Oscar's malfeasance? Hmm, probably, but now I know something he doesn't want me to know. So I can use his malfeasance to establish leverage. Otherwise, it's just malfeasance for malfeasancese'ses sake. -Dwight, The Secret

02. Ryan: You know, what I really want - honestly, Michael - is for you to know it, so you can communicate to the people here, to your clients, to whomever.
Michael: Huh, okay.
Ryan: What?
Michael: It's "whoever," not "whomever."
Ryan: No, it's "whomever."
Michael: No, "whomever" is never actually right.
Jim: No, sometimes it's right.
Creed: Michael is right. It's a made-up word used to trick students!
Andy: No. Actually, "whomever "is the formal version of the word.
Oscar: Obviously it's a real word, but I don't know when to use it correctly.
...
Pam: It's "whom" when it's the object of a sentence, and "who" when it's the subject.
Phyllis: Yeah, that sounds right.
Michael: Well, it sounds right, but is it?
Stanley: How did Ryan use it? As an object?
Ryan: As an object.
Kelly: Ryan used me an object.
Stanley: Is he right about that?
Pam: How did he use it again?
Toby: It was: Ryan wanted Michael, the subject, to explain the computer system, the object.
Michael: Thank you.
Toby: ...to whomever, meaning us, the indirect object. Which is the correct usage of the word.
Michael: No one, uh, asked you anything ever, so whomever's name is Toby, why don't you take a letter opener and stick it into your skull?
- Money

01. Michael: I am going to donate to Afghanistanis with AIDS.
Jim: I think you mean the aid to Afghanistan.
Michael: No, I mean Afghanistanis with AIDS.
Phyllis: Afghani.
Michael: What?
Phyllis: Afghani.
Michael: That's a dog.
Pam: No, that's Afghan.
Michael: That's a shawl.
Dwight: Wait, canine AIDS?
Michael: No. Humans with AIDS.
Creed: Who has AIDS?
Jim: Guys, the Afghanistananis.
-Casino Night

C'mon... don't you just want to have him lick your face?
Look at him and that babe. They have such chemistry. Cap four, ftw! He's very turned on by her.

I think every fangirl in the history of fangirlitude died just then.
I mean, the fact that he bought it just a week after they started dating is just soooo. Ah. Almost creepy, in the most cute way. Jim has always had a creepy-cute side to him for Miss Beesly.

YOU JUST WANT TO HUG HIM HERE.
Canceling plans for grilled cheese on the roof with Pam? Heart-wrenching! The kid is looove.

I pictured him sitting at his dinner table circa season 2, trying to eat, with the look that he has in cap 4 on his face and I just wanted to cry.
Can you imagine his pain and anguish and LOVE? I don't think I completely realized his passion for Pam until this moment.

Well, you know what, Halpert? I'd save the heartbreaking adorkable salesman.
He's so upset and vulnerable and pissed off at the world, and it just gets worse! I LOVE YOU, JIM!

Awww. This is just cute because Andy's genuinely sad and Jim makes an effort to actually cheer him up. Even though he's annoying as hell.

Man, do all of these have to do with Jim being sweet? Michael wasn't even invited, but Jim's such a good sport about it.

I think I started leaking hilarity-induced tears at this point. I hope people one day dance on my grave like that.
"We had lots of kids... drinking whiskey and rye."

Because you just can't help love Andy trying to woo Angela. It's so lame and cute and heeee. And ABBA! Like, how much win can one scene accumulate?

Dammit, I numbered wrong again! I don't know why I keep doing this. Anyway, this is my number 1 moment, not 5.
I can't explain why this is brilliant. It just is. Live it, breathe it.

"Ohmygod, do you really not know how Netflix works!?"
I love how in every cap, someone's checking their watch. And Kelly's oblivious, as usual.
And the little nose-kiss is just the greatest mixture of sarcasm and cute that it makes me smile/laugh.
Like, "will I be too warm in a long-sleeved tee?"

WIth great power comes great responsibility, dude!
The contrast between caps 1 and 4 makes me giggle. They're the world's most perfect couple, for serious.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
Mindy looks so cute in that shirt.
And BJ... is so... PALE.

LOLOLOLO ZACH BRAFF!
Funny thing is, I understand Hindi. So I'm awesome and I know what they said.
This whole episode is a beacon of Ryan/Kelly greatness.

Ohhhh, Temp, you're in way over your head. He's a little pleased, can't you tell?

Awww. I think this might be one of the first times we see the Ice Queen show off those teeth!
She's so proud of Michael, even though she thought he was being an ass all night... when he's really a secret genius or something.

Tears of condo joy. And the doves. He loves his office... even though he has no idea what the hell is going on.

I'M THE BOBBLEHEAD!
Even Phyllis and her cornucopia of Bob Vancity looks jealous. Because, I mean, how can a present get any better than thatt? I want Angela to be my girlfriend!

Lies. This should be number 1. What was I thinking?
This is seriously an Oscar-worthy performance by Jenna. She's so lovely and flustered. One smile and we forget three seasons of angst.

The Smile-Off! Smile-a-Thon. Cute flirty adorableness where Pam's being cute and Jim's breaking your heart (like always).
You just kind of want to stroke them. And keep them in a tank by your bed.

Oh, no, here we go.

This should be a flipbook.
It's like happy squee sex... ROY!? "Hey, wtf, man!?" And then PAM turns against him, too, like, "hey, it's not like I imagine us doing each other on your desk every day or anything."
And then it's awkward 'cause Dwight's a douche, and Roy's all, "Pammy, this is man's business!" And she's more than happy to scurry off.
And Halpert's left dejected.
So much emotion.

There's even more emotion in this. Jealousy, anger, guilt, vengeance... ohhh the backstabbing. Ohh my.
She's so lost and helpless that she goes home with Roy. Shivers and tears, man.

It wouldn't be very angsty if it weren't for the beginning and the end. "It felt far." As in, "I pine for you and your plethora of blue shirts."
How many pink coats does Beesly have, anyway? Like, three?
Anyway, aww. Jim's embarrassed, Pam watches scary movies by herself wishing he were there to hold her, etc.
And then they're invaded. And it's sad. It hurts so much to watch this.

I don't know what to say about this except what I've said for every moment so far - it just HURTS your SOUL like a frozen sledgehammer for 27 seconds.
The air and the night and the lights and their faces... it's just so melancholy and tearful.

This originally was HUGE, because I wanted it to take up the whole screen and occupy your hearts, but PhotoBucket resized it. Boo.
Still, though, I can't tear my eyes away from it. Oh, unrequited love! Oh, Jimtear! Oh, puzzled Pam in her dress!
It never gets old. It is just... beautiful.

05. Oh, I steal things all the time. It's just something I do. I stopped caring a long time ago. You should see how many supplies I've taken from this place. Honestly, I love stealing things. -Casino Night

04. Tell her it's for Creed; she'll know what that means. -Survivor Man

03. You don't go by monopoly, man! That game is *nuts*! You don't just pick up "Get out of jail free" cards! Those things cost thousands! -Money

02. I remember it was very late at night, like 11, 11.30. Big fella comes in screaming about God knows what; I think maybe Halpert had stolen his car, something like that. So the big fella pulls out a sock filled with nickels, then Schrute grabs a can of hair spray and a lighter... -The Negotiation

01. Which one is Pam? -The Secret

Moving on to something more lighthearted, eh?

Oh, Ang. You're my hero. So much anger and frustration, but she's so tiny! It's like Santa's elves with Tourettes.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS!
You wanna play the bitch game, Phyllis? BRING IT.

Look at the disapproval. Jan aspires to be a whore. I'm a professional woman. FIERCE.

Her face gets increasingly more angry. It goes from "you're stupid" to "I can't deal with this" to "you disgust me" to
"YOU'RE a freak!"

THIS COMES OUT OF NOWHERE! I think that's why it's so great. Angela saying "slut."
And the thing with the flies is just SO amazing I can't even begin to explain.
Classic Gene and Lee! (I bet you they didn't even write this one. I'm always wrong about these things.) But it seems like a Gene and Lee line.

Her? Mayonegg?

God, BE A LITTLE CUTER, GUYS!

They look so sneaky and mischievous. And they both look absolutely marvelous.

Hey, this is my header picture for this community!
They're just so sweet. Her hand on his shoulder and being excited and him listening intently and all... I shouldn't ship real life people. I just shouldn't.

...but I can't help it. This is the most gorgeous photo to ever have been taken, and they don't help much.

Can you just imagine Toby sleeping in his car and turning up the Toto and crying himself to sleep?

Most people probably don't remember this one because it was so fleeting, but it makes me crack up every time.
"I've got an idea - why don't you leave right now. Why don't you walk away from the room, okay?"
It's just a total bitchfit.

Okay, for the Toby caps, there were tons to choose from, and I swear, as this scene progressed, he got increasingly more and more depressed. It's just pure disappointment by this time, hahaha.

HAHAHAHAHAH. Up top, Mike.

Duh. Classic.
I hate.. so much... about the things that you choose to be.
It just rolls off the tongue.

05. Michael, I told you! It was because it was New Year's Eve and it started to snow at exactly midnight! -The Fight

04. I always wondered how they chose the man who was to die. I think I would have been good at choosing the person. -The Merger

03. It'll be so badass! -Branch Wars

02. In the wild, there is no health care. In the wild, health care is, 'Ow, I hurt my leg. I can't run. A lion eats me. I'm dead.' Well, I'm not dead. I'm the lion. You're dead. -Health Care

01. You mean ... like a ham? -Valentine's Day

Alright, Jamfans. Brace yourselves.

I seriously could not have made this any less pictures if I had wanted to. Every cap captures a different emotion. It's so sweet and simple and season one.

Again, many of these got resized. I wish you guys could see them the size I made them.. they're a lot more moving.
Anyway, this almost might count as an angst moment, but she gives up an iPod for his little teapot.
Guess who loves each other more than material possessions?

Bzzzuh. If only you could've read my journal after this aired. Or heard the phone calls I got!
It was just one of those great fandom moments... oh, and of course, one of those great Jim and Pam moments.
It was ten times better because it was a joke, but we all knew the real thing was coming. It was just... epic.

CAPHAPPY, someone?
Who didn't go out and buy fabic softener after this?
Who didn't die of happy after this?
The site I got these captures from named their site after this moment, dammit! Just awwwww.

Confusion, stuttering, stumbling, awkward laughing, caught in the act! Deceiving little kids!
And then they blush and be amazing and stutter some more. And they have some serious eye sex.

How badly do I want to read Dwight Schrute Trivia? Answer: very, very badly.
I always describe myself as a hard-working, alphamale jackhammer who's merciless and insatiable. Not a lie.
Next job interview, I'm saying that. If they don't get it - I don't want to work there. Not Office-friendly enough for this fangirl.

Awwww, Dwight has a soft spot for women. Or at least, PMSing women.

Who's laughing now?
Roy got his ass giftwrapped, yogurt-dipped, covered with chocolate buttons and HANDED to him. Mannn.

BECUZ IM OSSUM! He's so rational.
Dwight and dancing always makes for fun, but this was just... the cream of the crop. The icing on the cake. Something.

You are evil like a hobbit, brothaaa!
Cap six is a little scary. Overkill killer, double-time.
TOGETHER THAT WE PREVAIL.

There was no British equivalent to this one. I know the show didn't establish its own identity until into season two, but this was a spark. It was the perfect balance of funny and real and awkward, just like classic Office should be. Many wins.

I think one of the reasons why this is episode defines the show for me is because of their shirt colors. Yeah, I just said that. But Dwight in yellow, Pam in pink, and Jim and blue is classic. And all of the characters have shining moments and memorable lines. It just all works together.

Of all the episodes, I have definitely seen this one the most times. I tend to watch the ones with parties in them most often, even though many of my favorite episodes don't have parties in them.
I have always been a fan of the hourlongs (except maybe DMI... that could've been a half-hour), and this is my favorite. It's funny, it's angsty, it's sweet, it's fun! There are so many great one-liners in this. And the cast chemistry is just fanTAStic.

Definitely second most watched. Not only because it's epic story-wise, but just because it's good. Some great group dynamic stuff in the beginning, a solid prank, a Michael storyline and a Pam/Jim storyline everyone's little side stories... it just blends.

I don't know WHY this is my favorite, but it is. It's got everything. Prank, party, Andy being Andy, annoyed Michael, sappy Michael, Dwight-in-love with Michael, Dwangela, RYAN IN A HAT LOL, Dwight + pinatas, Jam moment, Karen getting pissed on... I love it. This is The Office for me.

Honorable Mention: Email Surveillance, The Injury, The Dundies, The Job, Launch Party... because 5 is just not enough.

It's like a cheesy elementary class picture. I love it. Rainn looks so much like a little second-grader. And everyone's posing and smiling and it's just CUTE.

The whole ensemble. And they're just so happy and award-win-y!

This really captures the playful and crazy essence of the show. This is my mind at 8:55 on Thursdays.

TEAMWORK! Hooray. I love this whole series of photos, actually. I just picked one to represent it. I love that they're actually on the set. You don't see that very often... usually, everyone's all dressed up.

I can't express in words the jubilation I feel from this picture. This cast and crew is the best EVER.

CREDITS

This was made in Paint Shop Pro 8, Photoshop 6, and Paint. I'd say more than 99% of the screencaps I used were from Such A Dork. Also used: my own captures, Time Enough, Get A Cookie, Sparklies, Sweet Innocence, and John Krasinski.net.

Office Quotes.net was a complete lifesaver. Thank you! And, of course, OfficeTally for being the best fansite in the world (I swear I go on there 15+ times a day). Also, Wikipedia, and Dunderpedia for general archive use.

This was orginally [info]tunaeverynight's idea, I'm pretty sure. After being shocked by her brilliant spam, I decided to make my own. Thank you to my whole flist for being cooperative and excited!

SO WHO'S PSYCHED FOR THE SEASON FINALE!?

OMG I love it! I love how it's super optimistic and funny but not in that let's-tear-down-the-show kind of way. For once someone does picspam without any qualms or complaints and just has mad love for the show and I LOVE IT! So thank you.

Daaang, this is AMAZING! Wow. I have no idea how you managed to narrow everything down to 5. I keep meaning to do one of these but I'd never, ever be able to settle on my choices. I'm really glad you included that Michael/Pam moment from Business School on there twice. That is, possibly, my favorite moment in the entire series.

Anyway, BRAVO. WELL DONE. THIS IS INCREDIBLE.
