AUTHOR NOTES: Written for the pre96 Ficathon. How can it have been more than 30 years since this lovely western aired? This is definitely Alternate Reality, set after the events of the series. The title is taken from this week's prompt at another fanfic challenge list -- 'requiem' -- the Latin word for 'rest,' the first word of the mass for the dead. 7:07 pm [valarltd]	Official Rules Stuff The Pre 1996 Ficathon's first wave will run from Friday, August 19 until Saturday, Oct 1, 2005. Subsequent waves are likely. To play, leave a comment on the Sign Up Post, which will appear on Thursday the 18th. You will have an assignment by Friday. You will be given a loose scenario. For example: someone has a sudden windfall something with bats cleaning day You will write, in the fandom and pairing (or more) of your choice, a story no shorter than 200 words using any interpretation of the scenario. Source material must predate 1996. Stories will be due by October 1. All stories will begin with The Official Header (ooo, ahhhhh), followed by an LJ cut or link. The Official Header (oooo, ahhhh) Title: Author: Fandom: Pairing: Rating: Scenario: Disclaimer: We only require warnings for graphic unusual violence and sex. For instance, if a villain is a seriel killer who is murdering, sodomizing and then gouging the eyes out of 6 year old children, that requires a warning. Slash, het and group sex do not. Sex with people under the age of 16 does (child abuse warning).
