Would anyone here have a problem with me Asking in Milli_wanted for an Active Ron and Harry or anyother Potter Pups? |

Dear Pottermuns,
I figure this best applies to the muns here, as it concerns Hermione Granger.
Um. I know there used to be a Hermione once upon a time, but as she's been deleted (and for a while too, I've noticed), I was wondering a couple of things:
1) was she truly deleted or was she retired, perhaps?
and
2) how you all felt about me bringing in another Hermione?
I'm not sure what the past-Hermione's canon was like, or how much she did/how active she was, but I just wanted to check with everyone about past-Hermione's status and how people would feel before I consider apping her to the bar.

I am the mun of JP (a spoiler character) and well, I was just wondering whether or not the collective Potter-pups (and others, perhaps) had any specific date for the DH spoiler-ban to be lifted. Or even a rough idea of when.

Hello there, Potter people! I'm Jez, or ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) jezrana and this is Neville, who *mumble* may end up getting apped inna bar after all*mumble*.
Looking at the comments on this thread, we have a couple of people, currently Potter muns or otherwise, interested in OOMing some of the events we don't see happening directly in Deathly Hallows. I don't think there's any hurry on playing this stuff out, since we're still in OMG NO SPOILERS time, but if no one minds, I thought setting up a newer post for discussion of how we want to do this wouldn't be amiss.

Hi there Potter muns and... others.
The purpose of this post is the signing up of anyone who wants to do book 7 OOMs.
If you currently have a Potter puppet in Milliways and want to RP scenes set during book 7 with them, post your character and contact info here.
If you don't have a Potter puppet and either intend to app one in August/September or just want to play with a headvoice or tinker with a scene from book 7, ALSO post here your contact info and the scenes/characters you want to tinker with. Even if you do not intend to officially app a Potter pup, it'd be fun to have Millimuns get together and play with OOM scenes. If nothing else, anything we do can be compiled as a Millimun writing project and not necessarily Millicanon. As such, I'm going to suggest, without intending to step on anybody's toes, that ANYBODY who wants to do a scene with ANY character in the book, even one already played by another mun in Milliways, can post here to suggest the scene be done but not count as Millicanon. So for example, if somebody other than me wants to RP a scene as Harry, by all means suggest it here. I have a thought to compile two seperate lists -- one for Millicanon OOMs, the other for Potter scenes threaded by Millimuns. Because we like to play with each other! :)
Harry Potter is up for threading any scene from the book or scenes that weren't in the book but should have been.
His mun is "Ven badger" on AIM, eigrefeht[at]gmail.com, and gethenian on livejournal. Leaving comments to LJ is probably the most reliable way to contact.
Obviously, comments to this post will contain spoilers. Be aware of that before you read!!

Is there any sort of vague plan concerning which Potter pups will be returning for Final Canon and when they're leaving? Mass exodus, that sort of thing? Anyone? Anything? Bueller?
Also, can we perhaps set any sort of date for when having pups return from said canon is acceptible? Would it be all right simply to return all pups post-canon behind LJ cuts with OMG HUGE SPOILER WARNINGS all over them?
Harry's going, come what may, and will be returning dead or alive.
As for the posting of spoilery pups, I'm going to do a ballpark sorta estimate and say... All post-canon pups get entries behind spoiler-warning LJ cuts until September 1? It's a bit more than a month for what seems to be a REALLY freaking long book and not everybody can devour the thing in two nights like many of us plan to do.
Open to suggestions here, but once we come to any consensus, I'd like to post a list to the Back Room just for public information's sake.
Therefor, what the hey, it's been a while, so:
All Potter muns please post here with the name of your pup, whether they are Doververse or the other one, and what point in canon they are from. Even if they are retired/dead. Weasley twins, Lucius Malfoy, anyone else who's died, and anyone who's been in the bar but isn't any longer (Narcissa?), I'd like a role call for you guys, too. I know several Potter pups have deviated rather violently from canon. This is me wanting to get organized. :) Also, I totally wasn't around for the Doververse plot last year, so if someone could give a sort of vague summary of anything important that happened there, it would be appreciated. I have NO idea how to find and read it myself, or I would.
Non-Potter muns, feel free to post here with thoughts about how post-canon bar entries should be handled. Again, my initial suggestion is that all post-canon pup entries be behind LJ cuts until September (I don't think it makes sense to just keep our puppets out that long), and I'll add that post-canon pups who tag other entries should have those entries marked with an OOC note.
Potter muns who WILL be moving ahead through book 7, if any of you might have any interest in threading scenes from book 7, I'd be up for that. Assuming, of course, there are any scenes (or missing scenes) that strike anybody as worth threading. (And please leave contact info if it's not on your pup's lookup.)

Just a heads-up that, as part of an upcoming bit of plot, I'd like to Millicanon that there's a Wizarding college at Oxford. Anyone have objections to this?
Now, for the question: WHAT SHOULD WE CALL THIS COLLEGE?

Is there any established Millicanon about whether or not broomsticks would work for Muggles?
If not, what is your opinion of the subject?

SO! It's probably not going to come as much of a surprise, but I wanted to drop a note in here anyway to let all of the Potter-muns know that I am definitely going to be taking Molly AU. I have Mod approval for it, but didn't want to blindside anyone by some chance.
Very shortly, she is going to become unbound, and events will conspire to make it very, very clear that her version of the wizarding world is NOT the same as anyone else's in the bar.

I just wanted to write a little note here and say well done, everyone! The reactions were shivery and wonderful, and I was delighted to read them. Also, who did the Amelia-POV? Rajrr, right? That was beautifully done.
I'm really quite excited because we're making this a cool, collaborative writing experience here. Just keep in mind to tag any threads with our plot tag, so we can keep up with what's going on. Since our characters are coming from different parts in the wizarding world, we can see a lot of different perspectives. I'd like to make a suggestion - Penelope and Angelina need to talk! If not in the bar, then maybe out of it. That way they can have some connection together with some of the big stuff going on. Plus it would just be cool!
Now, totally off the point, do we have any Millicanon on vampires in the WW? I am going on the presumption that they're dark creatures, but they have their own ancient culture, maybe based in Eastern Europe. Some choose to become part of the WW, most don't. They kill, but very carefully.
But if we have any Millicanon, do please mention - Tom's had Mal chatting with him lately, and I don't want to misspeak.

Okay, here we go! *excited* I have a shiny-clean new Lily-pup, obviously, so. She's my first Potter pup, and also - having only Harry's impressions and one chapter of canon to work on - she's a bit of a blank slate. In the other RPG I play her in this doesn't matter, but Milliways has lots and lots of shiny Millicanon.
So. This Lily is from 1979, is just newly engaged to James Potter and is an apprentice Healer, if that fits with current Millicanon (if not, let me know, because I can alter as necessary.)
Is there anything I should know? I'm eyeing other Marauder-era pups, and Petunia in particular - any side comments you've made about Lily that I oughta take note of?
And is there anyone she'll completely break by appearing, so I should know who to avoid?
And - nah, that's it. Looking forward to jumping in. :D?

IN ADDITION, A QUESTION CONCERNING ALL HP MUNS:
In theory, could HP-verse magic, like Aes Sedai powers, be taught to characters not originating in the HP canon/universe, their children, or persons somehow otherwise bound to them? For example, could the Bernard/Tonks spawn be a wizard? (Is he? o.o) Could characters with kinda-parallel genetic differences in blood making them more sensitive to their world's "magic" make them similarly sensitive to HP-verse magic?
Just kinda looking for blanket insight here.
No, even if the answer is "yes," there will be no creating of new Dark Lords or spiking the free condoms with polyjuice potion.
Although somebody should totally do that. >.>

Hey all, some of you know, some do not, but I, The Mitch, have taken the reigns of our dear Lucius Malfoy. If any of you need him for any reason, feel free to let me know? He is a part of the Doververse as I am playing him as still being the same from when Quinn played him, so, If i need know anything, let me know?
And, to fill the holes, he has aquired a rather expensive magic eye, that looks just like his regular one. He can afford the good kind. Cause, yes, dashing with an eye patch, but he'd probably get a little disgusted with the pirate jokes.

Hokay.
I...have not yet sat down and read all the plotty things, because frankly right now my head is full of squealing engaged Slayer, and Kingsley is the strong, silent type.
But.
Kingsley is from Tonks' world, ergo, Doververse. And as her partner, I figure he'll be pretty closely involved with whatever she ends up doing.
Which...means that I will talk to Meg when she gets home. Because right now the only immediate plan I have for him involves Sunny, glitter, and utter mortification.

Okay, so!
Penelope is currently stuck at St. Mungo's. Since there are all these ideas going around about what's going down in the wizarding world, I would love to take this opportunity to get some input from you guys on what (if anything) I can portray about the state of the union things for wizards these days through Penny's stay at St. Mungo's. I know Ashie and I quasi-discussed killings (or attempted ones) within the hospital, and there's a lot of other stuff, too ...
Here.
I shall pose a few main questions to the group:
1) What strikes you as interesting/potentially cool/potentially usable about St. Mungo's as far as plot-like things go?
2) Do people who've had their souls sucked out by Dementors go to St. Mungo's? We know that the Longbottoms, although incurably insane, stay there, but is there similar care for vegetable-types?
3) Should there be some type of violence perpetrated on patients (either in general, or specific ones)? If so, what sort of violence, and by whom?
And this one's more for me than anyone else:
4) How long do you think it would be before the St. Mungo's staff realize that Penny isn't under the Imperius Curse? It seems from scanning GoF that there might not be really apparent changes in personality as a result of the curse (though I'm not sure). Thoughts and suggestions would be love, especially since I'm playing in the same HPverse as a lot of other players, and things like St. Mungo's and the Unforgivables are kiiiiiind of important.
