Please note that this is a community for ALL Pirates of the Caribbean fanfics and fanvideos - any pairings and any styles and ratings are accepted.

WARNING: This community is marked as containing 'adult content'. This means that we will have links to certain fanfiction and fanvideos that contain adult matter. All ratings will be clearly stated. If you do not wish to view such content, do not click on these links. Simple.

R U L E S / G U I D E L I N E S

NOMINATIONS:

1. You must join and be a member of the community in order to nominate and vote for material.
2. All lengths of fanfiction are welcomed in nominations: oneshots, songfics, multi-chaptered etc.
3. All ratings of fanfic and fanvideos are accepted, but you must clearly state the rating when nominating material. Nominations must also include the title, author's name, and a direct link to the material.
4. Please make no more than two nominations per category. You may vote/nominate in as many categories as you like.
5. An author/ vidder can be nominated only twice in each category.
6. Please nominate material for the correct categories! If you place a nomination in the wrong category it will be omitted from voting and you will recieve a notice so that you may re-submit if you wish.
7) You can nominate yourself in the fanvideo contests. However, you cannot nominate yourself in the fanfiction contest.

WINNERS:

1. If you won a specific category in one round, you will have to sit out of that category for the next round (if nominated). Once the next round is over, you can be nominated for that category again.

GENERAL:

Please, no flaming in comments. You will have no warnings. Once you flame, and put down another pairing, you will be deleted and banned from this community so fast you'll be blowing Jack's hat off by the wind you will create. THIS IS SOMETHING MODS WILL NOT TOLERATE.

Awards for First Place will be given out in each category. Winners will be announced and receive an award banner, and for certain categories (such as Best Author or Best Vidmaker) an extra special surprise! In the case of a tie, there will be tie-breakers. But no worries, everyone gets a prize!

1) Can I submit more than one story?
You can! You can submit not one, but two!!!
2) Can I submit myself?
Uh, no. But if you submit a collaboration fic that you helped write, if you can get one other person to back up your nomination we will allow it.
3) Can I submit any mod/admin's work?
Of course you can!! *hint hint*
4) Do I HAVE to join?
Would be nice. You would get lots of updates and see the excitement this community will have...
5) But I don't like a certain pairing.
Fine. Don't vote and definitely do NOT bash them in comments. Simple thing called 'ignoring'.
6) Can I pimp my site?
No. However, if you really want to have a link to your site/livejournal on our information page let us know! We will affliate you, even make a special button (if we can swing it/ if you don't have any buttons for your site)
8) How can I come in contact with you?
Well, the big admin is desiringpirates (or, here, desiring_me). I can usually answer all your questions if you email me at labyrinthlover21@hotmail.com. But there are other mods you can ask to!
9) How can we avoid shipping wars?
VERY simple. If you don't like a certain pairing, simply ignore it. Don't nominate any material for that category, don't vote, just ignore it. It's very simple to do and if we get ANY flames against a pairing, you and your username (and any other usernames you might have) will be banned and locked out of this community. We mods/admins want to keep this community a neutral zone.
10) Can I recommend any categories?
Surely! Just reply to an entry or - even better- email one of the mods/admins.
11) Is this a paid account?
Not at the moment. Right now it is a plus account. But, if this community turns successful, maybe we could set up a little pay pal thing that you can donate too and we can make it a paid account! We'll see how things go.
12) Can I buy stories, vids or graphics from this community?
Sorry, but no. This is a fan community, appreciating the fandom of Pirates of the Caribbean and all the non-profit fanfictions and fan videos. We can't legally sell you anything.
13) Fandom? What fandom?
Pirates of the Caribbean!! All owned by Disney, Bruckheimer, Verbinski, Johnny Depp, so on and so forth...
14) Can I ask you any question?
Of course. If it is community realted - and if it's important enough, we'll post it in this little section.
