I've Got a Jar of Diiiiirt!
Introduction
Name: Amanda *bow*
Age: 16
Location: Philadelphia (Bleh, BLEH, I SAY!)
Nicknames, or what you prefer to be called: I've a nickname of "Ant". No relation to the bug.
About You
Three positive adjectives about yourself: Quirky, funny, loyal
Three negative adjectives about yourself: Indecisive, loud, ditzy
A few of your likes: Acting, listening to music, reading, enjoying simple things, and being with friends
A few of your dislikes: People who think they're smart but are IDIOTS, fakes, "perfect" people, and scary dolls and killer clowns.
A few of your pet peeves: When people crack their knuckles, long winded speeches that are pointless, and bad acting, anywhere. I'm annoyed easily.
A few of your talents and hobbies (please differentiate between the two): Well, my talents would be acting, singing (kinda sorta), and listening to people and giving advice. My hobbies are acting, reading, trying to expend my musical horizons, and when I get to the point where I can afford to go places, travelling will be a big hobby of mine.
Where do you see yourself in ten years (include things like the job you’d like to have, where you’d like to live, if you are married or not, etc): Acting. First and foremost, I WILL be acting somewhere. It's my passion. Not to mention, I'm not good at much else, so that settles it. I think I'll either be living in New York City or England, preferably the latter. The humdrum town I'm in now makes me crave adventure. And those damn British accents are calling me. I don't think I'll be married at this point, but I'll be with someone. I don't want to get married until 29-30ish.
Your motto on life, or how you like to live it: I sort of made up my own motto that comes from a cliche. "It's your life. Live it as you please." One thing I can't stand is others trying to live your life for you. (Parental issue, but that's a story for another day.) Because you deal with all this crap with pleasing people, and feeling guilty about things, trying to fit in, and in the end, it just doesn't matter. As long as you're at peace with yourself and your maker, it doesn't matter. I live it to the best of my ability. (Which, right now, isn't all that good. 16 isn't exactly an age you can live freely.)
Your three favorite books and why they’re your favorites: Hmmm. 1) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoniex. It had the humor, the adventure, the drama, everything. 2) The Little Prince. It's a short, but really compelling story about people in general. A simple look at humanity. (If such a thing is possible. Humans are weird.) 3) The Giver. I love those futuristic stories where a government is in control of everything and then someone breaks free to do what they wish.
Your three favorite movies and why they’re your favorites: 1) Pirates of the Caribbean. I KNOW, LAME. But really, this was a good movie. They don't make this fun, adventurous types of movies anymore, so this is a nice change of pace. It's funny and it has great action. Not the greatest plotline, but I go to the movies to be entertained. I read to stimulate my brain. 2) The Princess Bride. This is perhaps my favorite movie of all time. It falls right in line with Pirates. It's that great, fun, swashbuckler movie. This one has it all. Giants, wizards, swordfighting, mystery, true love, daring escapes, you name it. 3) White Chicks. NO, I'M KIDDING. Really, it would be Chicago. I love musicals. This was possibly the best "musical to movie" movie ever. It had humor (which is very important to me), good dialouge, great casting (Richard Gere and Catherine Zeta-Jones are both outstanding.), and the songs just took you there.
Where do you feel most at home? Oddly enough, not in my house. I just feel kinda trapped there. Irony, eh? But, I feel most at home when I'm around people I can talk comfortably to and who I care about. Places don't really hold value to me, so anywhere my family or friends are is somewhere I call home.
Pirates Related
Why do you like Pirates of the Caribbean?: Okay, sorry for the redundancy. But, I like Pirates because it's simply a great adventure, with good humor and great dialouge. The action is fantastic and the characters are people you actually care about. (Unlike, oh say, horror movies where you're rooting for the stupid horny teenagers to die. Stupid kids giving my type a bad name...)
Who’s your favorite character and why? (This does not mean who you feel you’re most like): Alright, everyone ever has probably said this, but my favorite is Captain Jack, hands down. He's absurd, amusung, clever, freedom-loving, insane, and all around fantastic. You can't help but love this guy. Thw way he moves, talks, and acts is just so unbelievably entertaining. You want to giggle every time you see him. I would want to take this guy home to my family just to see how awkward he could make them feel. And yet, you know he could go badass at the drop of a hat. He has a tounge as sharp as his sword. What's not to love?
Who do you feel you are least like in Pirates and why? Hmmm. Probably Will Turner. He's so straight-laced and noble and all that crap. Don't think I could ever fill his shoes. He's too.... normal.
Miscellaneous Ramblings
Where did you hear about this community?: Through my guilty pleasure community. Sparrington. *bows head in shame* I think the actual person was xxxdarkxstarxxx. Something like that.
Post at least 3 clear photos of yourself (if you have no pictures, just describe what you look like):

P.S. ~ I know it looks like I got a nose-job in that last picture, BUT I DIDN'T. It's horrible, horrible lighting.
Okay. Happy voting!
