Playing catch up
Since I'm going to be sitting around for the next few hours waiting for an upload to finish I figure I may as well try and catch up on my reading

If I owe you feedback for anything can you point me in the right direction. I've barely had time to do anything fic-wise since last weekend

Cleaning....
It's amazing how much faster your computer will run if you just take the time to clean the damned thing.  Seriously, my poor hard drive was practically covered in dust--stupid me thought that since it was stored in a cabinet on my computer desk, it wouldn't get dust.  Yeah, well that's SO not true.  Used the Pledge duster plus thingy, which is a GODSEND.  My poor allergies are already killing me from being around cats for the past 2 weekends.

I also bought an extra USB port adapter, which now gives me a lot more USB ports than I had.  This is good because in addition to my computer's hard drive, I have 2 portable external hard drives--one serves as a backup for my iPod, and the other stores anime.  The bad thing is--I'm going to have to ask for another one for my birthday.  Then I have stuff like printer, scanner, and of course the iPod, and my wireless plugs into a USB port as well.  So yeah, much needed.  Also, it glows a really pretty blue, which is nice. :)

Now, I just have to perform a couple of disk defrags, a disk clean up, and some other internal maintenance things, and hopefully I'll be ok for a little while longer.

Then, I have to clean my apartment.  Which is filthy.

Never got to see Dark Knight this weekend.  But, I did get to Movie Stop, traded in some dvds that I didn't watch, and got the first 2 DVDs of Farscape, Reign of Fire (which has both Christian Bale AND Gerard Butler!), and Stargate the movie, which was only .99 cents.

What a week I have had.
I went to The Hague and stayed in a gorgeous 4 star hotel with a beauty center and sauna. It was really wonderful and I definately made use of the sauna. I have never actaulyl used one because I always thought I would find it a bit too warm, but actaully now my verdick is that its the BEST INVENSION EVER!!!! I am definately a heat person. People think I am insane in summer when I actaully enjoy sitting in the sun heated car with out air co. Yes I actaully love it.
I am from a hot country...it's in my nature.
Then I went in the steam room, and it was lovely lavender smelly. And finished off with a soak in the whirpool. Definately worth every cent. I was rather stressed and even had my old stomach pain ofstess again, but after that evening it was gone.

Further more. The Hague is realyl a great city. So much better than Amsterdam and much more international. Everyone speaks English and I even encountered people working in shops who could not speak Dutch at all! I LOVE IT!! Hahaha.

I went there with my mom and we shopped and enjoyed the sites. The 70% sales are still on so we got some great stuff for very cheap.
A hand bag and shoes for 5 Euro! We didn't realise the weather predictions were pretty cold, so we had to but sweaters and scarfs and it was also on discount. We also bought Cadbury chocolate, our fave which is widely available there, and here in our side of the country, you can only buy it at over priced shops. :-(
I also bought 30 Days of Nights Vampire books at the American Book Center, which I should actaully add to speed dail on my phone. Best shop ever! And I still had book vouchers left over from my birthday so I got them for "free"! Yay!! It was all very cheap shopping.

After the shopping we popped into the Binnenhof, the political buildings and center of the country. It's very pretty there and they had a huge sand castle outside.

Somehow, I'm not surprised
I ran across this test today, and decided to take it. The results are not all that shocking.

Your result for The Nerd? Geek? or Dork? Test...

Outcast Genius

For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.

You scored better than half in all three, earning you the title of: Outcast Genius.

Outcast geniuses usually are bright enough to understand what society wants of them, and they just don't care! They are highly intelligent and passionate about the things they know are *truly* important in the world. Typically, this does not include sports, cars or make-up, but it can on occassion (and if it does then they know more than all of their friends combined in that subject).

Outcast geniuses can be very lonely, due to their being outcast from most normal groups and too smart for the room among many other types of dorks and geeks, but they can also be the types to eventually rule the world, ala Bill Gates, the prototypical Outcast Genius.

Congratulations!

Thanks Again! -- THE NERD? GEEK? OR DORK? TEST

Though, I feel that I'm more of a geek then anything. Anyway... how'd you do, friend's list?

Remember, remember the fifth of November.

So I finally saw this film for the first time at Becky's house on Thursday while we were chilling before getting in line for The Dark Knight. Needless to say I loved it because about an hour later, I went out and bought the DVD for myself. :D

The gunpowder treason and plot )

Birthday report! and Cambridge thoughts...
Birthday came and vent. :-) It was wonderful.

On saturday my mother, my aunt and her family came by and also Petings mom and [info]spicehobbit. Was wonderful! Lots of cake was eaten and also pirouges. We talked laughed, and just had a general good time. I got alot of great, great gifts! From mom we got a gift certificate at Lundsbrunns Kurort! I'll definitly see if we can fit in a visit there during our vacation! :-D And from [info]spicehobbit I got a cute little pirate piggy bank and a swedish vampire novel (who knew they existed?). From my aunt and her family I got a wonderful perfume and body lotion. And from Peting's mom I got two books about the middle ages and a bundle of roses! :-D It was a wonderful day, and a good time was had by all. :-)

When everyone had left, we lazed about and played some World of Warcraft. :-) Caina has now reached lvl 63 and gotten some good gear. Green coloured gear. Matches her hair. *smirk* :-D

And today Petings aunt and her family came by. :-) From them I got a cute little flower and a very VERY cute cat (one of these, but in another colour).

Also this afternoon/evening my brother and his family came by. I got to meet little Tilda again! Wohoo! :-D She loved our cats, who were mildly curious thinking she was noisy since every time the cats moved around her, and sniffed her, she screamed with delight, startling the cats somewhat. :-D It was so much fun to watch. I was afraid Tilda might get bored with our apartment, but since there was two curious cats and my big teddy-bear and soft dolls collection, no such thing. :-) I got a really cute little flower in a pot from them. :-) Brothers fiance likes things like that, so I always get interesting plants from them. :-)

So, on wards to Cambridge. After all the holy unhealthy food this weekend, we are going on the Cambridge Diet tomorrow. Me, Peting and [info]spicehobbit. I just have to face it. I need to lose weight. Not for beauty reasons, but for health reasons, both mentally and physiclly. And this diet is going to be tough! We have now emptied our fridge and put all the remaing food in the freezer or given it away. I expect to be hungry as all hell for three to four days. So yeah... If our relationship, mine and Petings, survive this we'll survive anything. Good thing we have two beds in the apartment... And we have promised [info]spicehobbit that she can call anytime. We are in on this all three, so we have promised to try and support each other as much as possible. I feel oddly determined. I am hoping this is a good thing... Keep your fingers crossed for me tomorrow, yeah?

Rutger Hauer and John Glover in a scene together = awesome!

Even with the sound muted on my laptop

I really should have a Lionel icon, but back in the days when he was the MB
