We, the current moderators of this community, encountered some unexpected difficulties in real life and had to let things go for a while.

HOWEVER, we do intend to return. We are currently in the process of updating the rules to make the challenges fairer and easier to manage.

We also have a re-designed, categorized profile! In the making of the profile, we removed all affiliates that haven't updated in about a year. If you were on the list, noticed that you've been removed, and want to be back, just let us know and we'll add you.

We'll be updating again announcing the date that the community will reopen. We look forward to being able to run this wonderful icontest again!

Hey guys,

I'm so sorry that there was no new challenge posted for this week and that the winners post was late. After posting the voting last weekend, some obligations came up which have kept me busy until now.

There is obviously a huge problem here, and sophie_lizzie and I think the best way to address it is to find another two maintainers to help share the workload of running the community.

I want to appoint jcampfan25 as our first new maintainer. Not only because I and the other maintainers know her well, but because she has been with the community a long time now, she finds the time to enter just about every week, and she is always among the very first to vote. I've talked to her and she is willing to take on the role. :)

To make things fair, because we don't mean to only choose friends, we'll choose our second mod from those that are interested in helping out and who offer in a reply to this entry. Thanks and good luck!:)

Once again, I'd like to extend my apologies for my tardiness concerning the comm. It seems all we mods have had a very hectic week, but things will be running smoothly again very soon! ;)

I'm so very sorry everyone, I've not had internet access for the last five or six days because I was moving house. Also, I didn't realise that my last post had mistakes to be fixed before I lost access - I will fix those ASAP.

I did tell my fellow mods sophie_lizzie and sunrise_sets last week that I may be quite busy, but I didn't expect there to be a disruption of my presence online or in running the comm, so they were both unprepared to take over. I know that they are both equally busy at the moment, so I understand that they were put in an awkward position with my sudden disappearance and why they couldn't take the reins.

I feel absolutely wretched about the whole thing. All three of us will be working hard over the next few days to get everything back on track and hopefully we will be able to continue on as normal from this weekend. Thanks all for your patience!
