Mod Posts:

The question of what to do with the Daily Community has arisen, and after some talking, the Mods have decided on a course of action that will not mean deletion of that community. We plan to use the community as a means to get information to you, the mun. Major mod posts, like this one, will now be posted to the main community rather than the ooc one. But small updates, notifications of upcoming events, holidays, festivals and such that the characters would like to take part in, or would be interested in, will be posted at pot_ljdaily.

Other information and ideas will also be posted there. Posting ideas, site recommendations. Anything we feel that the characters and the muns who play them, would be interested in.

Posting Rule Revised:

Inactivity can be a problem here. So we have devised a way to keep activity going. We have now changed the rules to TWO posts a month, minimum. Even with work, school, saving the world, two small posts cannot hurt.

We will also accept one post and one thread within another characters post (must be 10 comments or more). Or one post and one log. We need to see that people are active.

Those who do not meet the criteria by the 1st of the month will be issued with a warning and urged to do better the next month (unless they drop or are purged). If characters continue to not meet our posting limit despite warnings, they will be purged. No exceptions. No more warnings.

Purging will take place one the first of each month. Those who have been inactive for 4 weeks or longer will be sent PM's, Emails, some form of communication before the purge date. If they do not respond it will be assumed they want to leave.

These changes will be implemented December 1st. The month of November will be set aside for an Event and for us mods work out some of the more niggling details.


General Rules Revised:

Due to the rules being posted in Rich Text (of which I hatehatehate), this weekend the rules will be getting an overhaul. Some will be tweaked, others left as they are. Generally the rules won't change to the point anyone will notice. The only thing that will change is the posting rules.


AU Weeks:

AU Weeks will take place on the last week of each month, unless circumstances dictate otherwise. All posts and logs for these weeks should be posted in pot_ljcrack. These weeks will not get in the way of anything IC that is planned. They're designed as a... release from the norm, something fun and distracting for people to do.

Rules:

1. No God-Moding.

It's really self-explanatory. Don't control another character. Don't talk for them. Don't make your character the smartest, most brilliant creature ever to grace the universe. Don't assume your character knows what's going on in the game, just because you do. And on the other side, don't make your character the angstiest most depressed person this side of Emo Kid.

2. Ideas, Plots, Changes.

Anything major MUST be run past any and all characters/muns that may be involved. If these plots involve the game as a whole, a mod should also be contacted to be made aware.

3. Age Restriction.

The age limit is 16 years of age. There can be exceptions to this rule. But we do ask that everyone play with a mature attitude. Childish behaviour, name-calling and an inability to tell the difference between IC and OOC will NOT be tolerated. This is a laid-back game and we welcome all age groups. But please keep in mind that we are a seasoned group and would like to play with those who can handle playing young adult characters.

4. Posting Limits.

A minimum of two posts per calender month. These can be in the form of a deep and introspective post, or even just a few lines to reassure us that you, and your character, are still alive.
One post + a comment thread of 10 or more comments. Commenting is strongly encouraged though being an active commenter without posting does not release you from your posting obligations. You still need to post.
One post + one IC log. There is no limit for logs, these are made at the mun's discretion, whenever you like, how many you like.

5. Character Limits.

There is a no character limit. However, each new character picked up will have a waiting period of one month between each (exceptions can be made). You will only be allowed a second and third character if you show yourself to be active within the game. If you are inactive with the character you have and would like another, you will not be allowed to apply in case you continue to be inactive with two characters or more.

6. Purging.

Once a month, on the first. Inactivity constitutes a lack of posting and comments. You will be sent a PM and an email five days before the purge. If you do not answer, you will lose your character. You can, if you wish, take back that character at a later date. Though this will only be allowed once. Further inactivity and you will not be allowed back to the game. Exceptions can be made by the mods, but only on rare occasions.

Game Play:

1. All characters will be given a blog on joining the University. It's their choice if they use it or not. Each dorm room will house a desktop computer, laptops and such things are up to the character.

2. Interaction is strongly encouraged. Commenting, logging, entries that promote both.

3. Logs and such things must be posted in [pot_ljlog or pot_ljcrack], nowhere else. Please use the format provided.

4. Pictures, video clips, long memes or quiz spam MUST be placed under an LJ cut. Posts that are purely spam and no actual relevant content will NOT go toward your post limit. They do not count.

5. The OOC community is for your use. Talk to the other muns, plot, plan, make friends, fangirl.
On that note, please keep drama to a minimum. Do NOT let personal grudges leak into the RP, and vice versa.

6. Do not flock/filter posts. If you have to do this, then use cuts and label them appropriately.

Game Notes:

1. The Story So Far:

So this is the deal. With canon as the base, this game is now two years old. All characters are two years older from the end of the anime/manga. That means that the old 3rd years are now 2nd years in high school. 2nd years are 1st years in high school and so on.

Some schools have had high schools created for them in that time (ie: St Rudolph), others have not and those characters have been transferred to other schools (ie: Higa/Rokakku)

2. Adult Content:

This game will contain harsh language and mature themes. But please don't take advantage of that. Talking about conquests in your journal under a cut is fine. Advertising yourself will be frowned upon. That can be done via IM and PM, or flirting in comments and logs.

3. Plots vs. Events:

Plots: These can concern one character, or many, depending on how involved you'd like people to be. Usually though, they will just involve a couple, or a small group. They will last a while, leading up to a final goal. Plots are like stories, they are meant to have a beginning a middle and an end.
Events: An event is a short lived explosion of activity that will effect the whole community, everyone. They are meant to be fun and promote participation. They can last anywhere from a day to a week, some will have a reason behind them, some will just be for the hell of it.

4. Drama:

I would prefer this be kept to a minimum. If you are looking for a plot or direction for your character, we're very sure you can do that without drama. RL drama does not effect gameplay. If the mods become aware of this, you may be at risk of a warning or being removed from the game. We will not tolerate this.

5. Please Note:

ALL mod posts are top priority. All muns will be required to read these posts.

6. NPCs:

To enhance gameplay, we have an NPC system. Basically, characters that have not been picked up can be NPC'd by players currently in the game. However, once someone picks up that character as a Playing Character, the NPC will be disposed off. NPCs who wish to pick up the character for real need not send in an application, and can just inform a mod to be added into the game.

Original Characters have to be approved by a mod first in order to be accepted as an NPC. An OC is any character that already belongs to the Tenipuri universe, but was only mentioned passingly. Family members, team members that did not get lines in the anime/manga, or other such characters. They must have a verifiable basis in the anime/manga to be allowed into the game. They cannot be made up. In order for a character to be considered playable, and not an NPC, they must actually appear in the anime/manga, even if it's only for one panel/screenshot. Otherwise they can only be NPCed.

Hiatus:
