| New Rule Revision - Underage muns and post/log ratings |

Thank you to everyone who provided input pertaining to the new rule concerning "adult material" in the RPG. The mods have decided to revise the rules based on your input.
We will now be flagging all posts rated R or NC-17. Logs and posts by underage muns, which are above PG-13 in rating and were allowed by the LJ system because they were not flagged as "adult" or "explicit", will result in a warning. The player will be told to either delete or privatize the journal post, as appropriate, and the log will be rejected/deleted by a mod. Failure to comply regarding the journal post within a set time limit (say, 24 hours) may result in being dropped from the game. For the logs, a three-strike system will be utilized, wherein the players will be warned twice about inappropriate logs, and will be banned from the RP on the third offense. Any mun ABOVE the age of 18 who places "mature content" in their logs or posts must flag the post at the appropriate maturity level.
Retroactively, all logs previously posted in the log comm and in personal journals must be flagged appropriately if the rating is above PG-13, placed under an lj-cut if the rating is PG-13, and deleted if any of the muns involved were under 18 and the rating is above PG-13. Players who posted any logs containing such content, please go back and cut/flag/delete the entry as appropriate ASAP.
To keep with the movie rating system we've been using, this is how it will work from now on:
G/PG-> Nothing necessary
PG-13-> Placed under al lj-cut which states that the material under the cut is PG-13 in nature
R-> Flagged as "Adult Concepts", no one under 14 allowed to create or view
NC-17-> Flagged as "Explicit Adult Concepts", no one under 18 allowed to create or view
For those (like me) who have no idea what flagging is/entails, or who are not clear on the restriction levels, please take a look here. (Thanks to Rin/Gakuto-mun for the link and the explanation.) Basically, there's an option when you create/edit posts to restrict access to that post based on age. For this to work, I need all players to do the following:
-Go to the "Edit Profile" page.
-Under "Birthday", place your character's birth month and day, but YOUR birth year.
-At "Birthday display options" choose "Display only the month and day", to keep your character's birthdate from reflecting your age rather than his/hers.
If you're not sure what a log/post would rate, ask a mod. (Please provide a link as well, so we don't have to dig for the one you mean.) A mod's decision on whether or not a post should be flagged/otherwise handled is final.

As an official change to the rules, logs done by muns who are under the age of 18 are not allowed to be above PG-13 in nature, or they will be rejected/deleted from the log comm. Posts in character journals by underage muns, which are above said rating, will result in a warning and the player will be told to either delete or privatize the post. Failure to do so may result in being dropped from the game. As well, any mun ABOVE the age of 18 who places such "mature content" in their logs or posts must friends-lock the post and label it accordingly, to make it clear that minors are not to access it.
Retroactively, all logs previously posted in the log comm and in personal journals must be friends-locked if the rating is PG-13 or above, and privatized or deleted if any of the muns involved were under 18 and the rating is above PG-13. Players who posted any logs containing such content, please go back and friends-lock/privatize/delete the entry, as mods can only delete them in certain cases and we have no desire to do so. (Momo-mun, most of the MomoKam logs you have labeled as PG-13 are tame enough to be labeled PG, so they only need to be edited to change that so no one thinks yours slipped through. If you don't know which ones, check what rating I tagged them as. ^^) If you have posted any logs/posts which fall under this, please deal with them ASAP. I know I'll be busy today. -_-;;
Basically, it goes something like this:
G, PG -> no restrictions
PG-13 -> locked no matter what
R, NC-17 -> locked/labeled if all muns involved are 18+, private/deleted if any mun is underage
If you're not sure what a log/post would rate, ask a mod. (Please provide a link as well, so we don't have to dig for the one you mean.) A mod's decision on whether or not a post should be locked/otherwise handled is final.
No, I don't like putting such restrictions on a game that's supposed to be very laid back, but this is necessary to avoid being assraped investigated by LJ Abuse and possibly having the comms and attached journals deleted. We've been lax so far about this, but there are certain hoops we all have to jump through for the privilege *gag* of being on LJ. To avoid stirring up the witch hunt again, this kind of precaution is necessary.
And I'm sure I'm confusing everyone with this, so if you don't understand, please ask me to clarify. I had about 3 hours of sleep last night due to a tension headache, so I'm probably not as coherent as I think I am. Or something.
ETA: Since some of you seemed confused on this, even though an announcement was made, let me clarify. Your mods are Akaya/Yuuta-mun, Echizen/Momo-mun, and Inui-mun. You can contact us either through one of our character journals or this all-purpose handy-dandy mod account for any questions/problems you may have.

| RPG Update |

Points of the RP that we've ironed out so far.
1. Graduation - Was delayed for the new players, but now it's running into the new Tournament season. Graduation for all schools will happen the second week of June. The partial school calendar under the cut will have the exact days for each school. Next year it will happen at the appropriate time: right before the spring vacation (beginning of March). We'll just pretend it didn't get pushed back this time.
2. Tournament - On the heels of graduation, the Kantou Tournament semi-finals will start the week after. Once this and summer vacation are settled, we should be back on track with the basic Japanese school calendar we had originally intended to follow.
3. School Calendar - we'd made one up but there's a couple things we're still working on.
a) It was for the last year, so we'll revise it soon to reflect the new school year.
b) Higa's not included yet. Injustice!
c) We're not on track with it now, so summer vacation will be limited to two weeks to allow for the tournament and such. The new third years won't retire immediately after this coming tournament, either. They'll have until the beginning of November to be buchous. After that, we'll follow the schedule as it was meant, with an enforcing of the breaks/holidays, and the third years retiring from the teams after Finals.
4. School Levels - Not vital, but people were asking about elevator schools, and which ones didn't have high schools. This should clear up the confusion. On an added note, St. Rudolph has a new high school division that the original mods added. All players, especially SeiRuers, should be aware of this.
5. Purges - Have been delayed until July 1st. The new posting requirements (still undecided, please see the poll under the cut) will go into effect then as well.
6. Communities - the communities ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) pot_ljdaily and pot_ljlog are now up and running, please make sure you've friended the comms as well as watching them. The daily comm will contain condensed updates and post topic offerings for those unsure what to post about. The log comm is now the place to put all logs of any type, though the posts will be moderated to clean up any problems with labelling and to properly tag them.

| Meet the new boss! |

Forgive me in advance for any rambling tangents or hard-to-follow stream of consciousness writing. I never know what to say in official announcements. This is Yuuta/Akaya-mun, one of your lovely new mods! *poses, complete with sparkles* As Atsushi-mun was the only working mod for a while, and she needs a break to study, we'll be taking over and dominating you ALL!. My two lovely assistants, who have been generous enough to offer themselves on my altar of POWER are Inui-mun and Echizen/Momo-mun. We need to confer more on things like delegation of responsibilities, as well as the direction of the RPG, but I wanted to let everyone know of the changing of the guard for two reasons.
1. I don't know about y'all, but I like a high level of transparency in my dictators mods. Not all modly business needs to be deciminated to the masses, but something like "Oh, hey, WE'RE the ones in control now" is nice to know ASAP.
2. To let everyone know that Things Will Be Happening in the RP now. Inui-mun and Echizen/Momo-mun, as you can probably tell already, are brimming with ideas to get interaction back up to the level it was when the restart first occurred. (Hopefully. I'm really hoping the RPers who drifted away will come back once a definite direction has been set for the RP.)
Just off the top of my head, things we're planning to do (our version of The First 100 Days):
1. Get pot_ljdaily up and running again, with daily updates on entries, characters added/dropped, and hiatuses.
2. Get pot_ljlog fixed up and running. All logs in the future will be placed there rather than in personal journals, to help keep OOC and IC stuffs separated.
3. Organize the profiles of all the comms to link to important information: rules, character lists, hiatus lists, contact information (will remain locked), etc.
4. Streamline rules as necessary for easier gameplay. This RP will remain a very laid back one, don't worry about that. The mods will simply be taking their jobs seriously so that the players can relax and enjoy. ^_^
5. Attempt to pull as many players as possible back to the RP before the purge on the first of the month.
**IMPORTANT: To those following the communities but not necessarily posting, please either make a short post to qualify you for remaining, or place your character(s) on hiatus/semi-hiatus to keep them from being purged. If you are dropped from the game, you will need to reapply for that character, and the mods cannot guarantee you will get that character again. If someone else has already applied for him/her, they will be considered before you.
Also: The questions being raised about graduation for third years will be resolved within the next few days. There will be another announcement when a decision has been reached on the matter. :D

We have decided not to go along with the school break thing. Thus, 3rd-years have not graduated and will not graduate for some time.
This is really sudden, but it wouldn't be fair to the new players if their 3rd-year characters graduate without giving them a chance to play them as members of their junior high.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused here.
Also, anybody who wants to make an entry in the OOC community but cannot can simply write it here and I will post it up there for you. |

Pot_lj is restarting and what I mean by that is it will be cleaned up, so please comment here and tell me your keeping your character. If you do bot post I will take you off as a member. This will be happening until further notice. So feel free to keep posting to your lj's though.
If you have any questions please ask them in this post. Also if you have any ideas tell me and I'll talk with the other mod about it. By the way I'm a new mod. ^_^
Edit1: If you are dropping a character please remove the other lj's as your friend so no one gets confused.. ^^
Edit2: There will be a time limit. Characters will have until the end of this month...(just incase they are having trouble with the internet...I know how it feels. *kicks internet* Damn you! )And also if you have a live journal that isn't an rp, please advertise pot_lj. It will help alot!

You can go on Hiatus if you need to, or drop your character if you don't have the time to play them anymore. I will be dropping these characters on Jan 31st if none of these actions are taken.
I would be really sad to see all of these characters go, so I hope you all see this and reply accordingly. Also, if anyone knows a reason for any of these characters being inactive, please tell me. <3 |

Now that winter break is over, I'm going to tell you guys the dates for the next school breaks. We will have a time between school years that will be about a month long, and we will also have a summer break for all of the schools, they will both be a little different depending on what school you are going to, so make sure to check them both out. ;D
