| About: | This community is dedicated to discussing surviving in the world after the oil reserves bottom out. Face it- our world runs on oil. Everything we buy, from clothes, to food, was at some point, dependant on oil for its production. Cities are going to collapse, people are going to die, and the entire world is going to change dramatically. Maybe we're being paranoid. But- if we're right, we're prepared. If we're wrong, then we just have a slightly demented community. The thing that must be made clear, is that we are _not_ doom saying millenialists. This isn't about the end of the world- it's about being prepared for the end of industrialization. Oil powered industry is going to die, either because of an oil crash, or because it gets replaced. Either way, we're preparing to live in a post industrial world, and we're preparing for the worst. | |
