AboutWelcome to postcardcafe! We love postcards, and we hope you’ll join us in exchanging them! We like to think that this community is fun and unique because it offers both monthly organized postcard swaps and the ability to swap cards with other members on your own time. You are welcome to join just the organized rounds, or just send cards on your own time, or do both – it’s up to you!
Membership is moderated in order to protect the security of members' addresses, which we store in the memories for other members to access. Please check out the community FAQs before requesting membership! These will fully explain how the community operates.
***PLEASE NOTE: Obviously, we reserve the right to reject your membership request if your profile strikes us as particularly suspicious in any way, if we have evidence of you "cheating" at other swapping communities, and so on. ***You must be 18 or older to join.
We do have a few rules:
•Please post an introduction within two weeks of joining the group. People who fail to post introductions will be removed from the group after two weeks and will have to request membership again.
•Please be respectful of other members. This particularly includes respecting people’s privacy. Anyone who shares other members’ contact info with outside sources will be immediately and permanently banned from the community.
•If you join an official round, please be committed to sending your cards on time! We understand that stuff happens in life, though. If you cannot send your cards on time, please contact a moderator so that we can make other arrangements for that group. If you have a true crisis, we’ll figure out a way to send cards on your behalf. If you fail to send your cards on time without contacting a moderator, you will be banned from the group. This is the only way that we can keep the monthly exchanges fair for everyone. Just contact us in advance, please, and there will be no problem!
