| About: | This community is now under new leadership! My LJ username is Northgod and there is a link to my journal at the bottom of this section where you can access my journal to read or to ask questions about Post your Band. I will be getting an email account shortly which will be linked to this page, for now though, please send all your questions to my journal. I will be making a few changes to this community, but nothing too drastic.
In a band? Play a little 6-string and have your work on MP3? (Or know someone who does?) POST IT HERE!
The community for musicians, bands, bands-to-be, to post MP3s, descriptions, pics, updates, and bulletins. *change#1* This community will now be a meeting place for info on local music scenes across the country. Know of a great local band thats playing in your area? Post about it! Make sure to make it clear that this is someone else's band if it is not your own, however, as credit should be given where credit is due.
Community rules are simple:
1. By posting, you except that responses from others will be opinioned. Likewise, it's preferred any opinion is constructive criticism. *change#2* If someone is found "blasting" others based on their opinions you will be banned and never welcomed back, please just remeber that not everyone thinks like you may, so be polite and you'll be all set!
2. You agree not to post anything copyrighted, or anything that was obviously the work of another artist.(i.e, NO cover songs). *change#3* Although cover songs and the likes still will not be permitted to be posted in mp3 form or other online music players, if you know of, or belong to a "talented" tribute band feel free to post about yourself just remeber that everything must be legal *So don't take credit for something you didn't do!!*
3. This is NOT a place for promotions of other communities and/or advertisements that have nothing to do with what this community is about.
