Hey Sluts, [25 Dec 2004|04:50pm]

Anyone have family obligations tomorrow, because I want to show you kids the Anthem Magazine.

I don't know if I've said this to everyone but we're going to be mainly focusing on artists, photographers, and their work. And I know a lot of you bitches got shit we can use, so comment. Yeahs. Aight, I'm out.

It's kind of like Black Book except smaller and probably closer to what we want to do. It focuses on art and photography, but it has a little section of music. It's pretty freaking amazing. We need to get together stat.
Okay, so I postponed the photoshoot to tomorrow (sorry), but we WILL look hot and get together, aight? And we need to drool over this magazine and develop some sort of plan.

Let's begin. [19 Dec 2004|06:05pm]

So we're finally all together and I am pumped to start the magazine.
Abstraktion sounds good and no one else is using it, I don't think. I googled it.

I want to talk it over with Juran and maybe he could give us ideas and maybe a little bit of direction. We get so much done in that photo lab. It'll be nice if we could sit in there and do work. Otherwise we have laptops so it's all good.

Hey, what did we decide on before about content. I want to go do some photo shoots with you guys so we can get some content. We should go to downtown Milwaukee and perhaps do some fashion shots as well. HOT. Shit, let's make this all self promotion so we can just have pictures of ourselves throughout it. Yeah? Yeah? Good deal. We should do some big adventure, document it, and use it as content in the magazine. Ninja style, yeah.

That is all, see you tomorrow in the studio.

We need to get back to the magazine. Or something. I need ideas to keep myself occupied here so I won't kill someone.

I want to start making layouts but I don't remember if we decided on the feel of our magazine.

Do we have a theme?
Is there anything that should be common throughout?
What size should the pages be?
Etc.

Love, DJ

I'm going to make some basic layouts tonight using the content I have from Norway. I'll post thumbnails of them in the next two days or so.

Should we do a CD review? Fashion profiles? A piece on nightlife - Chicago parties, Montreal clubs, Milwaukee hangouts? Something with more substance - perhaps a Canadian vs. American vs. a European view on American politics, international relations, the state of our generation, and so on?

P.S. What software are we going to use? I have both InDesign CS and Photoshop 7 through school. If other people can make their pages in Photoshop [or at least the backgrounds, etc.] I can transfer things into InDesign.

Getting Started [04 Aug 2004|11:28pm]

Interviews with who?

What kind of style or theme are we going for artistically?

Content theme?

We should have written down our ideas from the first night...we need to get more people involved besides the three of us. Temporarily it's only two since Kassia is out of town :-(

I say we just go for whatever feels right. Hey I want to do this photo shoot then do it and put it in the magazine. I want to interview this person. Awesome. It'll work. Perhaps we can have a theme like moving since we're all moving or do features of each of the cities we'll be in - Kassia in Norway, DJ in Chicago, and me in Montreal. Oooo that sounds good.
