I would ordinarily not involve myself in two meme entries in a row, but... well... blame ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) myaru. She suckered me into it, what with her teasing of bad cooking!
Aaaaaaaaanyway. I suppose the continuation aspect is mostly for the writers, but here we go:
The first five comments to this entry may specify a theme or topic for a ficlet, which I will then write. Those who comment must then perpetuate this meme by doing the same in their own journals. For reference, make a list of all fandoms you're willing to write for.
I'm defining "ficlet" as under a thousand words, and at that length I do better with humor than with drama, but I'll see what I can do. I drove back down yesterday. The drive down on the 5 was fine. It was until I got to LA County that I spent nearly 2 hours trying to get to my side of the f'ing county. I wanted to tear my hair out and was full of frustration (because I had driven 6 hours with a 10 minute break in between from the bay) and just wanted to get out of the car... back in the land of asshole drivers. you can feel that change of peoples driving attitude the moment you get into San Fernando Valley... or maybe it's just me?
I feel unmotivated and lacking any high spirit lately. At least it seems like it's cooled down here, or am i just hallucinating?
Glad to be away from parents again. They were beginning to bug the hell out of me trying to get me to move home again. Unless we were on the verge of economic problems towards bankruptcy would I move... but really I just can't.
I also allocated some of my money away into a small envelope. I plan on getting my industrial piercing sometime in the next two weeks. I am excited.Current Music: Harshrealm - Arrhythmia [Impulse] |

I'm so sorry. Whoever you are. It only took Tycho of Penny Arcade before I actually paid attention and sat through Act I and II (Act III is coming out tomorrow-Saturday July 19th), to be noted that each Act is like 15 mins.
Anyhoo, to quote Tycho:
"It's a supervillain musical written by Joss Whedon, starring a bunch of awesome motherfuckers."
I am by no mean, a Joss Wheedon fan, but I'm sure I should or some such, but holy hell, that was some great 30 mins I spent, and who doesn't like Neil Patrick Harris doing silly things (reference: "Harold and Kumar doing something")
Better be quick, because on Sunday, it will yoink from the interweb and then you'll have to pay for it. Why is that? The Master Plan is really noble, actually.

Robin and I made the trek down to southern California last night. On the way down we passed by the California aqueduct and I saw how the moonlight was shimmering on the water, and remarked about how if I'd known that was there, I might've decided to stop and get some pictures.
Well, around 1:30 this morning, we were up on the Grapevine and Robin suggested we stop off at Pyramid Lake to give the tripod another go. It was somewhat windy up there and the camera strap kept flapping around in the wind; I held onto the strap, but we were otherwise at the mercy of the wind.
The resulting pictures are sharp. The tripod evidently had no problem with the wind at all. Granted, I didn't use the 70-300 at all, but still -- I'm floored. |

Overheard@E3: If they make fun of it, kick them
While checking out Konami's 3D fighter, Castlevania Judgment, two Konami employees stood next to us and saw an opportunity to shoot the breeze. While conversing about things that this blogger couldn't help but overhear, one female worker commented to the other that if "they are just going to make fun of it, you have the power to kick them out." It was pretty obvious that she was referring to the fighting game we were currently engaged in playing.
And, before you ask, no we did not make fun of it. We waited until we left their space before laughing.

Teddy and I skipped the festival on Tuesday cause it poured down rain, but then we went back on Wednesday. We ate a disgusting amount of festival food and it was fun. I wore my red yukata (the one I wore back in September for the Bunkasai).
