I will not let you down

I've been having head splitting headaches all day. D: My brain is collapsing like the polar ice caps.

Logo samples for Pop Carbon. I'm going for the dymo one. Third on the right column. God. Past few days have been hectic to say the least. And tonight I'm probably not sleeping any time soon and same goes for tomorrow. I just hope I do a good job. Storyboards, Editorial Illustration, product mascots...

In a totally unrelated to my major fine arts classes note... in my Philippine pop culture class, my prof offered to give me his book on "Body Politics" because I loved my report topic so much. And though deep inside I would have loved to accept his gift (but still am very embarrassed to do so), I couldn't accept it... as I am still bound by chinese tradition to not accept good graces withint 40+ days after the death of a loved one. Since this is my blog I can say this. I SCREWED UP. I wouldn't have to put up the texture if it weren't for an accidental water spill. But I'm glad it still turned out fine at the end of the day. I just feel exhausted right now and I have to make logo studies for Advertising Design class.

I have to make up my own brand, and do a logo dictionary.. which is basically a whole set of business materials. I'm thinking of using Pop*Carbon. But I figured that if I'm making a whole set of cool stuff, I might as well make something I'd end up using. [info]tigersky, a friend and I might be launching a joint venture. I can aim for that.

Trouble is we have no name yet. I have a few logos in mind already. I think its mostly from skimming through the book at the top of my reading list. Design of Advertising by Roy Paul Nelson. It's the bible of Advertising (quote Sir Aman). And even if the stuff in it look very 80's trend, I really like the feel of everything. Now to memorize this baby cover to cover.

Why do I have this vague feeling that I'd be posting here more than I do at [info]carbonrays? D:
