Secret Project - Undergrowth Folk
Okay I have nothing more cooler to call my group project with friends other than the "Secret Project" D: So anyway here's the first study for it~! :3

Undergrowth Folk Study 1

This was slightly inspired by stuff drawn by Froud. I wanted the more estrogen inducing one to look like she was made of roots and writhing wood. Looked too human in the end for me... I think I can do much better. What I'm worried about is that when I come up with a final draw this would look too brown. I wanted something very lovely and colorful. UGH I should swear off drawing women for a year to see what happens.

But emo frog, I love emo frog ;-; isnt he adorable? And so gay?

Undergrowth Folk is to be part of 4 creature art concepts that I hope to print out with a couple of friends for our project. I think so far it's a good start. My brain says.. DON'T FINISH THIS KAT START WITH A NEW STUDY/ THE POLISHED PIECE! But pencil shading calls out to me like a siren :(

add: I think I know how to fix the wood skin problem... I just have to put more protrusions, grooves and maybe some vine work... but oh god. vine work reminds me of Nouveau :/ I'm so tired of it!
