Join and post your tips and stories concerning but NOT limited to the following: - saving money with extensive budgeting - day to day saving - how to get by and still have entertainment in your life - your recipes and ideas on making cheap meals - savings and checking account experiences - literature based on living cheap - bills: cell phones, long distance, internet services, how to reduce monthly bills - decorating tips, do it yourself projects, general repairs - eBay selling and buying tips - health related: plasma donation, eyeglasses, egg/sperm donation, personal hygiene - household tips, inside the home and outdoors - loans, debt, credit cards, collection agencies - tips for residents of other countries especially Canada and the U.K. - baby, children, and pregnancy related tips - dumpster diving advice - welfare and unemployment assistance 1. DO NOT make judgements on anyone in this community. This is a hate free zone and we value and respect people from all walks of life, so do not preach to the choir here, make assumptions of someone's character, belittle people in any way....etc. 2. IF it is illegal, do not post it here...share those tips outside of Live Journal. We are not breeding criminals in this community. Any entries mentioning illegal activities will be deleted without warning. (This subject is very touchy, so some examples of illegal activities that will NOT be tolerated includes: fraud, shoplifting, murder, carjacking, street racing...etc yada yada blah.) 3. All posts should be on topic with the community. Anything off topic is subject to deletion since there is no real point in it being posted here. Since the community is about being basically broke, no selling, eBaying, asking donations, trading...etc. Also, if you have domestic related questions or ideas please decide if they should be posted here because they are related to being poor, or if they should be posted in hip_domestics because they are more suited for a 'class-free' audience. 4. All posts concerning free iPods should NOT be posted here. free_ipods_help was shut down for a reason and I will not allow this community to be suspended. This also includes the plethora of 'free' offers advertised on the internet that require the participant to complete specific offers in order to obtain the product. 5. Please refrain from advertising other communities that do not pertain to the interests of this community. An example of acceptable communities would focus on: being poor, freebies, cheap food and recipes, dumpster diving, coupons, budgeting, crafting, do it yourself, thrifting....etc. Do not use banners, pictures, annoying formatting. Just give us the name of the community and a description. 6. If any member of the community has a question or concern, please email me yayoubetcha@gmail.com 7. Please do not make posts asking how to make a quick buck from home or about online sites that pay. Also, NO referral posts! Zip zero zilch nada. This community is more focused on helping those who need consistant help, not just a fast $20 (try donating plasma, selling your belongings, do some yard work, help the elderly do grocery shopping, babysitting...etc.) Any post about work from home see: working_at_home, a quick dollar, or online surveys/sites will be deleted.8. Back and forth bickering will not be tolerated. State your point and let it go. If the moderator recieves multiple complaints about a member, that member is subject to being banned with no warning. 9. If you delete your journal, you will be removed from this community and be required to rejoin if you reactivate your journal or create a new one. 10. No comment screening or deleting comments. That is up to my discretion. If you are having issues concerning your post, either delete your entire post or email me. 11. Please try a two minute Google/Yahoo/whatever search before posting.
