A little help?
Does anyone know of a GOOD dentist in Albany NY that accepts Medicade? My current dentist is good, I just want someone a little more willing to do cosmetic work,not just the old rip and pull. I have noticed that having a back tooth yanked has changed my speach patterns, and that is not a good thing considering that I am an emcee! I am hoping to have a bridge or something similar done to rectify this.Thank you in advance.

I'm not sure that Medicaid will pay for cosmetic work.

That is what I am hoping for. If I can prove that I am loosing a viable job skill hopefully Medicade will pay for it. Although after doing some research on NYS Medicade the hopes are dwindiling. *sigh*

This is totally irrelevant to ur entry, but I LOVE ur icon! Im not sure of his name, but I know that he was my favorite character in Stephen King's Rose Red series :)

His name is Julian Sands, and guest stared in a Dennis Hopper movie called "Witch Hunt" wherein he played a GREAT character named Fin Moxa. Hence my screen name. I loved Rose Red also, great spooky movie. King is the best.

I second the thought that Medicaid might not pay for cosmetic work. I was actually denied medication even after having a doctor fight for it on my behalf... because of other health problems, this med would have been the best option, but the state doesn't care about anything but the bottom line.

So if you go the route of trying to get them to pay for it based on it affecting your work, good luck, but don't get your hopes up too high. :p

Are you limited to just Albany, or can you travel beyond?

I know of several dentists in Otsego and Delaware counties that take Medicaid.

No car at the moment so travel is an issue. Thank you for the thought however.
