...because living for money is a horrible way to live
About:This is a community for those who are poor not because they have to be, but because they want to be, for whatever reasons.

Whether it's reluctance to being a wage slave, enjoyment in living as minimally as you can, separation from societal norms, or anything else, this is the place to talk about it.

If you're poor, that's not enough. This is not the place to whine about your problems or to seek betterment - rather, this is a place for people voluntarily downscaling their lives or at best, living on absolutely no income whatsoever, even though they could generate an income if they wanted to.

There aren't any restrictions on community membership but obnoxious behavior won't be tolerated.

Types of things that are welcome here:
  • Posts about your experiences and things you are doing to reduce expenses.
  • Things to do, stuff to get, and places to go for free.
  • Stuff about dumpster diving, squatting, being homeless, stealing for survival, reusing things, etc.
  • Advertising of other communities which are related to this one.
  • Offers of things which are being given away for free (asking for cost of shipping is okay).

Types of things that are NOT welcome here:
  • Judgement of others' morals.
  • Abusive behavior.
  • Excess warning of others about the legal implications of actions they know are illegal. Warning about things which might be unknown as being illegal, or potential dangers is fine, but this is not a place to push your morals on others.
The above list is subject to change at any time, but a general rule is that common sense should be your guide when using this community.
