We're still trying to be ... firmly ensconced in the world of science fact," Lindelof said. We certainly hint at psychic phenomena, happenstance and ... things being in a place where they probably shouldn't be. But nothing is flat-out impossible. There are no spaceships. There isn't any time travel.

If you can not form your theories while keeping this in mind.......stop here, this is not for you, and you will not be shown mercy for perpetuating mindless drivel here.

This is a community for serious discussions about the plot, the castaways, any spoilers, and where you think this is all going. There are no icons, fan pics, or TV appearances of the actors.

These are actors, and they have had other jobs, so yes they will have appeared in other places, but we want to focus on this show and this story only. This is not a fansite for the actors. No
theory is stupid, but if it has big loopholes or you misunderstood something in the show, you might be called on it, so be as thorough as possible in explaining how you came about your theory.

Each week that a new episode (or rerun of a recent episode that will tie into the next new one) I will post my immediate notes on the show, and some topics of discussion that I will elaborate on later. This will be the only such "reaction" posts allowed. Everyone can freely comment to this one about their first thoughts on the show that just aired without having to form a complete theory, but you must wait for my post to do so. You must join to post, but may post freely once approved. I am pretty quick to check on these, so you will not wait long.

Advisory:

1) No OMG posts. We all saw the same thing, and unless you have something to add, you will just be announcing the obvious. Please place these as a comment to the "reaction post".

2) If a thread starts off as spoiler-free, please do not include a spoiler in the comments, start a new thread and link back to the original post.

Community Rules:

1) Everything must be placed under a cut, and labeled if it is just a theory, a thought on a castaway, or if it is based on a spoiler.

2) The subject of your post needs to have the topic of your thought/theory in it, unless it will create a spoil.The current episode aired is considered a spoil for 24 hours.

3)There will be no fanpics or icons posted here, this is for discussion, there are plenty of places to post that kind of thing.

4)Reviews of cast interviews and such are fine, ONLY if they contain a possible clue, and your thoughts on what the clue means.

5) Any theory/prediction that you post must have basis in a)what has already been shown b)a particular spoiler that has been revealed.(I.E. no aliens or time travel)

6) Be kind to the new ones, we do not want to scare them away. We all make mistakes, and there is no call for rudeness. If I see it, you will be asked to remove it, if you make it a habit, you
will be asked to leave.

7) If you are having a problem with another member, please e-mail me, do not air it over the board.

8)I, like many other fans, have to wait till late night to watch the current episode, so I will not read any posts until the next morning. Please be aware of this fact, and considerate of those
others in the same boat and follow rule #1.

9) Any theories that are based on what the actors or writers have done on other shows will be deleted as soon as I see them, so please think about your theory before posting it.

Language:
We have a very diverse group of members now, and we should be aware of this while posting. I have been known to let an expletive fly on occasion, but I think in the interest of the group, we should try to keep the language tasteful. Rule of thumb: if it can not be said on network television, it probably should not be said here.

Speculations, thoughts, and theories that are based:

a) COMPLETELY FREE of any knowledge of an upcoming episode=Theory

b)on the promos for the next episode =theory based on promos

c)on information that you obtained from any other source besides what has actually been aired on the show=theory based on spoilers

Please learn and use these when posting to spare those that would like to stay spoiler-free.

I reserve the rights to change these rules as I see fit in order to benefit the majority.

If you are new to the community, and would like to catch up, or are just unsure of where we are on a particular point/plot/theory/character, the memories section can be a very helpful tool. I have put a lot of time into it, and have taken great care to cross-reference entries. All you need to do is look under , say Locke for example, and you will find all of the posts that contain spoilers/episodes/theories/connections/plots that revolve around Locke.
