Ugh I forgot to mention I road along / went over to Dad's to pick up some vegetables that Chucky sent down and I got out of the car to talk with him about my foot issue since I never made it over there this week. And as I am walking in he looks at me and says "Is it alive???"
Um yeah... I was like "I'm having a bad day alright" Thing is I looked nice today or at least I put in a effort cause I went out with my sister even though my leg was on fire all day. And after fighting nerve pain all day this kinda was not the right thing to say to me so I just went back out to the car and thought "forget it I'm not bothering." I know I need to talk with him and I know how my Dad is and 99% of the time I hit him right back with a comeback defense line because this is how our family works but today I just could not be bothered.
Thing is I don't think it ever occurs to him I have to work myself up for about two weeks just to talk with him about things because I don't like talking to him about my health stuff and I know he and Mom have been discussing me since I was summons over there but still you don't have to talk to me like I'm another life form when it's taking my all just to make the effort to meet you half way.

McCain looks nervous....
So... Today it was announced officially that McCain has chosen Sarah Palin to be his running mate.
Now there are some obvious reasons McCain chose Palin....
1. She is pro-life. Some even say she is the most pro-life VP to ever run.
2. She has a strong belief in family. She has had five children one of which she still brought into this world well knowing the child will suffer from Down Syndrome.
3. It has been said she has "beauty pageant" looks.
Sure those are great reasons to pick someone to rule the free world along side you. (Yes... I said rule the free world)
but...
This is how I think it REALLY went down...
McCain: "Fuck... those Democrats have an upper hand on this minority bull shit... they have a black Muslim man for Pete's sake! Get me a fucking woman! STAT! The hottest one you can find!"
News flash! Obama is Christian. He has said it himself that he has been going to the same Christian church for over 20 years and people were just trying to use the fears of terrorism against him.
Ah politics... you can always count on the Americans to make decisions based on rumors, gender, and race.
I think this political race is a joke! Very few care about how able these people are of running a country. They only care if they are black or white and male or female.

So things have been moving along steady this week with nothing to crazy happening. Hung out with Denice and Bree a lot and visited. Also hit a really good shoe sale and got myself some new gym shoes I was in dire need of so that was cool. Finally got in touch with Cliff the bird breeder and will be going to look at 4 babies next Saturday. I was looking into a Green Quaker with him but the one baby was small and died and the other green has a issue with it's leg and is kinda spoken for with another person. It was kinda my call to go see the blues and with the blues they are more expensive then the greens but he was offering me a blue at a lower price because of the other babies not working out. So I have now been researching the blues to compare, and pretty much they are the same I just never really looked at the blues before because of the price issue. It's a change of what I thought I would be getting but that's not necessarily a bad thing all I'm really looking for is a great personality. So instead of a little green chicken lol I might very well be ending up with a blue.

Earlier this month, Lentil was diagnosed with diabetes. Then I noticed that his stomach started to swell. I took him to the vet on Wednesday, and they told me to take him to the emergency vet immediately. After undergoing an ultrasound, he was diagnosed with a terminal type of cancer. His stomach was full of fluid. Poor guy. I decided that he had suffered enough and had him put to sleep. He has been my buddy for almost the entire time that I have lived in Seattle. I guess he had been. Anyway, I loved my kitty, and I hope he is happier now.

I’m feeling a little bit better now. I spoke with my Doctor about my parents concerns, and she doesn’t seem to share them. My mother and I spoke this morning about it. She’s not telling me to change doctors anymore, but she’s still upset. I don’t know what to think.
I didn’t know what to do on my day off today, so I decided to go find things to buy. Most all of my clothing comes from the American Eagle men’s section, so I collected more of that. I also bought some random stuff from wallmart. Ralphie came along with me and was superb. His new vest helped keep people from grabbing at him. The vest has all kinds of DO NOT PET patches on it. Some kid still made fun of him though, joking, “what kind of service can that dog do?!” Whatever. The more he struts alongside me, the more confident I become. The little man beams of pride.
I am reading this book, “In Defense of Animals,” and I am realizing how much more research needs to be done. So, I mean, there is SOME reason for me to be out there. I can to that. Maybe my research will result in more legal rights for animals. OR I could train dogs to have gaydar. Either/or.

Arrival:
We made it safe and sound to Atlanta! Our flight was pleasant, and amusing. Pleasant because the weather was gorgeous, and everything went smoothly. It was amusing because across the ailse, there was this guy sitting by the window. He looked innocent enough, but as we all know, looks can be deceiving. As soon as people were getting seated, he begain talking to the hapless man trapped sitting next to him. It was obvious that they weren't traveling together. Next to the victim, a young woman sat down. She'd only been in her seat a few moments, listening to the window man drone on to his captive, when she caught my eye and gave me a "Oh hell no" face. I promptly got tickled. I shared with ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) angstchic . We decided to see how long the man talked. Seriously. The man never. shut. up. Pre-flight. Yakety, yak, yak. In flight. Yakety, ya,k yak. Waiting to disembark. Yakety, yak ,yak. It was insane! We thought that we would get a break when the flight attendants handed out some pretzels. We listened with rapt attention. No dice. Yakety, yak, yak. It was truly a study in the art of can't shut up. During the flight, the girl broke out her iPod & earbuds to escape. I told her that I'd have brought duct tape if I had only known. That got her tickled. I think she and the "victim" nearly ran from the plane, ears bleeding, no doubt. :P
We started walking to the baggage claim. It couldn't be far, we reasoned. *snort* We kept walking. And walking.....and walking. OMG it was freaking ridculous how far we walked! I think we must have walked clear across Atlanta. It certainly felt that way. I told angstchic I should have packed a canteen and some assorted survival gear. Jeeze! Finally, we reached the baggage claim area, which was pretty much like discovering the Holy Grail at this point. The ever so lovely musing_mia was there to pick up us, and we had hug and squee fest right there.
We headed to our hotel, and once we had our stuff in the room, we went to get our badges. Holy cats! The line was wrapped completely around the building. We decided to go and eat first, and then come back to brave the line from hell. We grabbed some burgers. I got angstchic tickled enough that she spit on Mia, and we went back to wage war on the badge line. Luckily, the line moved pretty quickly - better than last year - thank goodness! In an hour and a half we finally got our badges, went back to our hotel and said our good byes to Mia (she had stuff to get done for class - so couldn't stay with us tonight). We decided to chill out in our room since tomorrow is a busy day. Had lots of texts and a phone call from psubrat , to coordinate meeting up tomorrow. Also, texted and called rikki_oko to let her know how much we wish she was with us. *squishes her* Now we're getting ready for bed.
