Waar Ben Ik?/Finnegan's Last Days in Europe 7 Dear InterGalactic Readers, Now that it goes on my second week here in Amsterdam, my second week away from Zurich and Matthias, I find myself slowly getting back into the zone of the familiar and expected. In the last summery fit of dazzling weather we are having before proper winter, Bart has been busy working on the new van, but he seems to busy to do basic things like shop properly food, take a shower and put on clean clothes. I nag at him of course, sometimes, very nicely, and sometimes not very nicely at all, but much less bitchy towards him than two months ago, when I had my limit of the bullshit. It was necessary for me to get away, for sure! But its ever an Uphill Battle with Bart, who can let the most piercing of criticisms bounce expertly off his deep cloak of denial and dance merrily away, letting nothing reach and penetrate that thick skull of his. I admit the past few weeks now, I have also been distracted, glued to the computer watching television shows online that I have missed in the USA, like Heroes and Lost, and even trying my hand at other shows, but only when I am patient enough to deal with slow streaming speeds. When I am not, I stick to shows that dont work my patience and nerves. Its been hard getting a shower in, the past week, but I persevere, nevertheless, for endless networking always gets what I need. I know I must finish the Chapter I am working on very soon. I will hate myself if I don't, not after all the work I have done thus far with it. The Whole Story is a whopping 650 pages and growing! I am beginning also to see with the story, especially the latest chapter I am working on, how this thing very easily could be a series on television--HBO or SHOWTIME for sure, due to its explicit violence and rampant themes of Homosexuality. I know when I am finished the chapter I may also be finished Book Three. And what a place the story will conclude at! A Gagging Cliffhanger ending! I am sure of it! I have heard little from Matthias in the past week, but no news is good news, right? I am sure he is fine, and if he lacks the common decency to say hello while I am online, its his loss. The less time I waste trying to boost the self esteem of self centered pigs, the better, right? I have been chatting with a boy recently from Rotterdam, who wants me to give him a reading, but perhaps also a bit more. This guy's name is Boris, he looks just like Wilco, a dead ringer for him, in fact, except probably he is not a roaring drunkard and racist fuckwit to match, although he is also a fire Sign, just like Wilco is. We shall see what happens next of course, but until then, I am keeping an open mind... Okay All, Tune in Later for More Juicy and Exciting Details.. And for any readers out there, new and old, please feel free to make comments anytime. I am always open to confrontation, LOL! = = F i n n e g a n Current Mood: calmCurrent Music: Philip Glass, Floe |

Hate what is the fucking point of it all? If no matter what you do your wants and wishes aren't as important as someone who is less than you? It just makes me fucking angry. It is all so amazingly frustrating. there comes a point when you just begin to hate the person more than anything else in the world. When even the bit of hate you subtract because you are in a bad mood is like taking a dropper of water from an over flowing bucket. But what the fuck else can you do? Leave? Leaving begins to sound really freaking good after a point. When getting away is all you can do before you start screaming. Ignore it? Yeah that's what you usually do until something reminds you and than no matter how small the issue is all that rage just comes flooding back in. What do you do when something becomes the comfortable status quo that you hate but you get used to hating? I'm just so angry I could cry and I can't fix anything anymore. It is just one messy fucking clusterfuck. Current Mood: pissed off |

In my mind I'm going to Carolina Just back from a weekend camping in North Carolina. I kind of love these weekends where I just turn my phone off. Especially when there's a campfire and chill folks involved.
G and I might go back to North Carolina in November. I will bring more warm clothes if that happens. |

i better not sleep walk tonight. i have for the past four nights in a row, and think part of the horrible mood i'm in is because i'm not getting enough deep sleep. this is getting fucking nuts. i'm not under that much stress, i mean i am but not to a level that should be creating this much instability. |

Success I was successful in an endeavor where all around me thought I was doomed to fail because of poor perceptions of "the other guy." I held out hope and was successful in establishing clear and efficient communications. I'm not so sure that I am more drained from having to deal with "my" side then with the opponent in this conflict. Current Mood: relieved |

I've had a good weekend. I was down in London on Friday to help give a talk on bisexuality to the Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association (GALHA) which I think went well. It was good to have knowledgeable co-presenters and a thoughtful audience including some friends and family. I met some interesting older men there as has happened before 8-) Getting around was a hassle and I would have been quicker walking but buses helped.
I took the bus back to my hotel with E and her mum and stayed with E and had breakfast with them before they headed off to Prague. I then had a day wandering around London in the sun and good chats with several friends and then decided to sleep rather than getting to Klub Fukk (apologies to those who expected to see me there - I think I made the right decision but missed you)
This morning I woke up slowly and had a swim (flash city hotel I've stayed at before - cheap at the weekend and with cute people who use the steam room *ahem*) and then went to the farmers' market at Islington and had lunch with R. I went through the fastest ever check-in at St. Pancras (tell me again why people fly to Paris?) - less than 5 minutes, and took a busy Eurostar to Paris. I was pleased that my minimal French was up to understanding a chap on the train and swapping seats so he could travel with his companion. The previous fire is having knock-on effects - the timetable has changed so my train was 1/2 early leaving but everything is working fine.
I'm staying in Montparnasse in Paris tonight and have just had some highly munchable Lebanese veggie food and half a bottle of wine. Tomorrow morning I'm getting the train to Madrid. There wasn't any space on the sleeper in that direction but I'll get it coming back and I get to see the view in the daytime this way.
I'm currently reading Umberto Eco's The Island of the Day Before which I read part of years ago and then had to return it the the library before moving house. I'm also using Tune up your French by Natalie Schorr which is about pronunciation, idiom and getting better at the spoken language with an assumption that vocabulary, grammar etc. has been learned elsewhere. Not an easy read but useful stuff even if I only retain a tiny part. |

Sleepy Sunday I am supposed to be furiously knitting on a hat today... but I just don't want to. I've emptied the dishwasher, read 2 paperbacks and started a loaf of bread in the breadmaker (haven't done that in eons). Dinner tonight with will shortcut salmon chowder (using canned salmon) since we are between paydays and I didn't want to go to the grocery store. I think I am going to go take a nap and see if I have more energy when I get up. But if the 3 cups of tea today haven't done it, I don't know if a nap will. Like I said, a sleepy Sunday. Oh, if you want to know what I did yesterday besides stitch n bitch, check out kailyn25's post here. |

Middle ages in Denmark today, D and I headed to an event being hosted this week at the old armory (in conjunction with culture night which was friday). I'm still trying to find out more about the group but they do re-creation of danish culture from about the 1100's. The event this week was about the "battle" between the Knights Templar and the Order of Malta (who had set up hostels and hospitals in Jerusalem for the pilgrims after the Crusades). Basically both groups did the same work in protecting people but ended up being rivals instead.
so, we get there and while much of it felt familiar and similar to an SCA event, I think I actually like the way this one was run a bit better. It had a much nicer feel, I think partly because everyone (other than mundanes) was dressed from the same culture and time period rather than a mish-mash like you get at SCA events. It really did feel a bit like stepping back in time.
for starters, it was held at the old armory building so once you went past the gate (an actual gate not just "gate" where you pay your entrance fee) you were in an enclosed courtyard along the side of the building so it made it feel quite cozy. The ground was cobblestones and just like any medieval market, you had to watch where you stepped (steaming piles means they're fresh). There was a small merchants area just outside the gate where you could browse. I really wished I'd had a lot more cash on me as there were plenty of things I wanted to buy - including several bottles of this lovely looking homemade honey wine. Once through the gate, the area wasn't large but there were merchants down both sides of the courtyard until the end where the jousting field was. Lots of wonderful things to see - hand carved wooden implements, jewelry, toys, fabric, pelts, and more than I can remember right now. And like any market, there were food vendors. "Burnt" almonds, roasted in a copper kettle and then finished with a sugar glaze, candied apples, home made crepes with an apple pie filling and one vendor where you could buy a quick meal that consisted of a sausage, a slice of roast port, a whole wheat or rye roll and a drink of juice. It smelled heavenly and I'm really glad I had eaten before I left - otherwise I might have spent what few Kroner were in m pocket just on sampling a little bit of everything.
the armor was also open (and housed a few extra merchants) and you could walk up and down the rows checking out the old cannons - some go back to the early 1500's!! Some were plain and some had lovely designs that were part of the casting process. I found that to be a bit ironic - here, we're going to blow you to bits but we'll do it with style!.
after all this, it was time to take our seats on the bleachers before the show. Boy, those danes know how to make a buck at this events. First, to watch the jousting cost extra money (but well worth it) and then before the show they had people walking through the area selling goodies - candies, cookies, flags and pendants. They seemed to be doing a brisk business as the lady with the cookies had to go back for refills at least twice that I saw.
But the tourney, now that was a sight to behold. These men were excellent on their horses and they must have put in countless hours to refine their aim. I can't imagine doing some of what they did going full tilt on a horse! They also put on quite a show - yes, some of it was staged and some was obviously choreographed but it was still great fun to watch. And they didn't fight with rattan swords like in the SCA - they used real steal. The entire show was "hosted" in Danish but some things just don't need translating. Smack talk is the same, no matter what the language!!!
all in all, it was a fun time and I'm looking forward to their next event. |

craft store goodness I had a chance to go to a craft store here in Copenhagen and I have to say it's a bit of a different experience than what you would have at say Joann's or Michaels. For starters, the stores are much smaller and they do a lot more online sales than they do in store. Which makes sense to me since retail space here in the city is at a premium.
so, I got there and it was fun to just wander around and look at everything. Very little in the way of aisles as it seemed to be more displays of goods than anything else. I'll definitely be ordering from their site soon though.
what I had to chuckle at was their yarn selection - even the "cheap" yarn was a much better quality than what you seen from a lot of the pricier american made brands you get in the big box stores! Just for that alone, I'll like living here. (note, I've also been to the stores that just sell yarn and OMG, it's like heaven in there - can you say time for a yarn-gasm.) I did manage to find a small sized Quick Knit (Danish version of the round Knifty Knitter). Bonus points for the fact that it was the size I got was the last one on the shelf and made of wood instead of plastic.
then I wondered into the section that had embroidery kits and supplies. I was nearly beside myself to discover that they had my fave brand of floss there. I also got the details for a company that does Danish designed embroidery kits/designs. I went to their website last night and just drooled over some of the pictures. Another site bookmarked for ordering from :-)
so all in all, a successful trip and something I look forward to repeating soon.... |

Too quick I use it too quick, even when I'm busy. I either gotta pay to upgrade or else stay the heck off. If I had to prioritize whats most useful, like what expands my mind and makes my happy, it's anime... so that should go above chatting. I managed to find Rondo, a different group had partnered with Static. Looking forward to 4 like I am to Higurashi's 3.
I was sitting in a chair one day and had my legs crossed and this lady asked me "does that hurt?" I was pretty confused and thought she meant a spinal imbalance or something. I told her that I crossed the other leg on top about as often to keep the spine neutral, and that in terms of flexibility I was comfortable with external hip rotation.
Then she mentioned 'squishing' and a lightbulb went on. I told her that no, that if that were to happen I would simply adjust until it didn't. Were my pants really tight or something? Like I don't get it, because it's not like it was a thigh-on-thigh cross, it was like, when you put your ankle on top of the thigh, the legs are rather abducted, there really is a lot of room to breath. Indeed, when I adduct them in more and do thigh-on-thigh it does indeed squish. That's not bad if you do it slowly though, in fact I think it increases pliability.
The vigorous moments I spend prone on the floor exercising may have something to do with it. When you do back extensions and stuff it does tend to compress that area more, often with pleasing results. |

photography course? So I'm thinking it would be both beneficial and fun to take a course in photography so I can get a better technical understanding of how it works, technique and so on. And while winter is awful pretty, I think I'd be happier with the course starting in June ;) Assuming there's room, anyone else interested in joining me? |

RAW images Not that long ago I was googling around trying to find some information on the best way to take shots of lightning with my Canon A720 IS. Successfully capturing lightning is, challenging. In my searches, I discovered a rather spiffy site that allowed me to gain a great deal more control over my camera, and essentially hack it and run a script to do the heavy lifting for me! Sweet says I. Interestingly, it also allows me to save the RAW images as well. Which brings to my actual problem/question. Does anyone out there know of a decent linux app that deals with RAW images? I've tried both dcraw and ufraw to no avail, they just don't recognize the .crw files being created by my Canon. Aaaand in my usual effort to not appear to be an idiot, I got back to the http://chdk.wikia.com/ site, and there at the bottom is this: The dcraw beginning with version 8.82 supports RAW format for A720 IS.
The version included with Ubuntu? Raw photo decoder "dcraw" v8.80
Doh! Looks like I'll have to install it by hand to make this work until Ubuntu catches up! |

baby tool Baby tool Young master ,,even just the talk about starting a family is a TOOL of the selfish EVE mindset ,,, it is not the baby but the oppurutunity to CLAIM posseion of you that is really the WANTO she has ….and if she allows herself to get preganant … look to her evidence trail of action her CHANGES OR ….LACK! of real changes in her day to day lifestyle to , PROVE actions speak louder than words ..THE … motivation of the EVE spirit will not be discussed or even allowed to be a topic it will be denyed and any attempt to be logical about it ..will lead to … Confuse and conquer …… distract ….. re focus mainly on your ACTIONS which I must admit are that of a NON master . remember this when you get into a fight with the girl of your dreams and you feel that you DO HAVE appoint but the pointgets turned around till you are the one on the DEFENSIVE ….. remember that our PRISION SYSTEM si full of innocent people when you talk to the ones who got busted ,,they almost all say …..but I was innocent I was a vicitim …? Distract ,, confuse and conquer . here we go inot the ..world of the enteratainer ESTER HICKS …. The link at http://www.instinctualism.org/5steps.html ... if you get into the TAO of Abraham the idea that we are here in this TIME?SPACE yet a greater part is still aware of the connection to Source the tao ,,the one part of perception is here totally inot the TOOL of experience the bio-machine ,,the brain tool of the bio-machine has INSTINCTS yes but like most animals it also has much learning to DO …. And that brain is a clean slate for impriontining important information about the details of the EXACT environment of the bio-machine ,,leanring which grass to eat from the example of the mother and other family member .learning which areas are dangerous and have cliffs and hidden pot holes ….. human being minds ..come BLANK and we train our kids …with so much info so they can function to the best of what WE PERCIEVE is in their best interests based upon the life we lived and the training we got …and just think that comes from pasted down effect of being in ECONOMY based on the idea of PHAROH or god/king ….slave master A bio machine experience of time/space of BEING a thing is a bit different than being just a THING like the Dildoes of yesterdays blog or the idea that I will experience the being of every grain of sand , on this palanet ..every molecule of plastic or raod asphalt …being of BIO-machine has newer ..experinces ,,, yet from the aspect of BEING THE WHOLE of Tao always …in ALWAYS ..even being just a grain of sand has its own ..experince … and since each experience has STILL the connection or vantage point of theTAO or source self ,,,, do not think that with having that PERCEPTIVE of IN FI NITY … that a … I …of the … I – in I …. Willnot find some pleasure in serving in the GAMe of the agreement state of stable pyshihcs …. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74OvS7SBZsk listen to Abraham ,,hear ..open you mind up ..swing that pendulum of your life and free choice …. (eternally and joyously INCOMPLETE ! ..THINK FOR YOURSELF ) So …looking for that which you want to see from there is want to bring up some great discussion form theSISTERWIVES forum ,,, agin realize the FOCUS … this is a place where the girls who explore it are thinking not interms of the GREED OF EVE yet in terms of building a life of sisiterhood … FOCUS .. http://sisterwives.yuku.com/topic/907 this is the EVIDENCE TRAIL ..actions speaking louder than words …. When I get letters of FEAR from girl after girls teeling me I SHOULD ,, ( oooh that word of master to slave SHOULD and HAVE TO ) fear the problems of 3 wives as their GREDDY controlling mnds see it ,,, since they are looking at the INSTINCTUALISM LIFE thru the Viel of the EVE mindset . How is she treating her body now that she is heavy with baby ? how is she treating her mind and is the baby being used to manipulate you , can you allow yourself to HEAR her using the baby as a TOOL ? part of you does not want to admit that FEMALES are manipulative ,, but history ,, shows the CONSIUOS use of manipulation by EVE ….. the RELATIONSHIP contract respects the idea that you are ALWAYS LOADED she maybe only able to have a bay a few days each month but you are loaded fully each time you PLAY ….. http://www.instinctualism.org/relationship_contract.html the actions where concerning topics of this page will show the deepest of inner truths … if you did your INSTINCTUAL job …then peace should be the future unless someone else wants SOMETHING else ….. AND THAT UNANTURAL STATE OF CONTROL WILL BRING ABOUT stress AND THE EFFECTS OF http://www.instinctualism.org/manipulation.html back when i was a practicing HYPNOTHERAPIST and STOPP SMOKING sessions I ofund out that it was not my words or the NICOTINE RELPACEMENT or the lazer which forced the client to stop no ,,each tool was just the excuse of the indidivula to express their deepest inner WANTS …and they stopped based upon their level of WANT TO … each smoking cessation tool has the about same effectivenss rate … the tool I then developed was a tool of helping tht patient become aware of their OWN LIE ….. I had them ..write once a day at the same time each day … this little sentence ,, I WANT TO STOP SMOKING ….. for 30 straight days .. IF YOU WERE LATE AT YOUR JOB 1 OUT OF EVERY TEN DAYS WOULD YOU EVENTUALLY GET ….FIRED ? if you droped and broke a GLASS glass ,,1 our of every ten times you drank out of a glass you would start to use plastic glasses ? If the client failed to meet their OWN appointment schedule …of writing that phrase 3 times over the month ,,, I get them to realize that stopping smoking is NOT their DEEPEST INNER …. Motivation ,,,it is NOT a WANTO ! …. And when they can commit to just writing those words each day at the same time a time they could pick form all the hours of the day ,, and do it ..with NO EXCUSES no blame about their FAILURES ….. then I have a clientready to stop smoking …. Actions speak louder than words ,,then REASONS personel reasons ..THAT PULL YOU OUT OF BED AND A DEEP SLEEP because you were out all night just to write those words on a SLEEP IN Sunday …. What gets you out of BED each morning and what are you or another doing just TO LOOK GOOD IN someones elses’s EYES …MANIPULATION |

I'm home exhausted as hell but super happy. NPC rocked and rocked hard. I will update about that and others things later. Right now I'm going to close up this computer and go to sleep. I was so tired I left early but I really needed to. I nearly started crying on Reid's shoulder for no reason other than I was that tired. I have no idea why being super tired makes me cry sometimes, it is such a strange reaction. Of course the crying tired only lasted until something pissed me off than I was awake and ready to rip somebodies head off. Funny thing was it wasn't anything rational. The card machine at the gas station wasn't working so I had to go ten feet up the road to the other station. But boy I was ready to reach across the counter and wring that cashier's neck when he told me. So I have supped on red meat barely warmed and now I sleep. Current Mood: tired |
