While POLYchromatic moderators are aware of this community’s existence, its function is pretty damn independent. Meaning:

[✜] what happens in fic stays in fic. None of the events described in any work of fiction here have bearing on actual

polychromatic gameplay. If you want anything played out, do it in the com & its journals.

[✜] crack & OOCdom are acceptable ~~if not always praised~~ in any context pertinent to this community; however, please don’t take that as an encouragement to carry either over to POLYchro, where it might have Big Bad Repercussions. However, it is highly advised you visit poly_crack instead!

[✜] getting positive peer reviews if you decide to put your app up for pre-submission ogling is no guarantee that the POLYchromatic moderators will approve it. The only thing you’re getting out of it is additional feedback that will hopefully steer you in a good direction.

[✜] if it’s NC-17, lj-cut and f-lock it. The single exception to this are memes. Provide the adequate warnings and ratings for your work, or face ungodly smiting.

[✜] …for the love of God, cake and really shiny coupons, when posting apps? Please state the character you’re going for, its series, the timeline point from which you’re taking him/her/it, then eljay-cut your apps. These things called spoilers: yes, people will be obnoxious enough to bitch and moan if subjected to’em even when, being an RP com, they probably really shouldn’t.

✘ THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE ICONS

Because sometimes your black little heart’s just that into the sweet, innocent serial killer in that one obscure series. Or maybe you've made a whole little character of your own who needs real-life representation of the visual rather than literary sort. Sucks to be you if the rest of the universe failed to dig that it’s the best thing since toast and never made icons.

So.

Question: What do I do when life sucks / I've got no icons for my char?

Answer: You beg. Then you post here, appeal to everyone’s better sentiments, and beg some more. On your hands and knees, preferably. With the muzzle on. Don’t worry, we’ll take the pictures. ;D

Please make sure, when doing said spiritually breaking begging, to make sure that you specify which version of a character you’re playing, if several exist (anime VS manga, comic VS movie, cookie VS cake), and whether you’d prefer them after a particular point in the series’ timeline [yes, iconists will generally cater to Really Obnoxious Makeovers.] For OCs or characters who need a PB describe EXACTLY what you're looking for.
