Oh maaan. So sorry for the huge delay. I decided to take on a huge list of commissions I have at the moment and completely forgot about uploading here.

So here's a quick sketch of Ekans and Arbok. I always wanted to train one, but once I finally decided to add one to my team, I discovered I couldn't catch one in Leaf Green!

Also, I love how after Ekans evolves, he magically goes from a rattle snake to a cobra. How's that for logic?

Oh, Ekans is just so excited to audition for his first movie! He's even got his special hat on and everything. Break a leg, Ekans!



His big brother Arbok, however, isn't really feeling it. And he would like to remind you that if you try making him dance by playing that pokéflute like a fool just one more time there will be hell to pay.

Here is a funny story.

When I went to Egypt last year we hired a local guy to take us to the Valley of the Kings and show us around and give us a bit of touring. It was pretty nice and his English was very good and he told us he was always improving on it. During some of his explanations of the heiroglyphic carvings though he kept referring to snacks, which I thought was kind of a glib way to refer to funerary food. At one point he finally pointed to a picture as he was saying 'snacks' and oh duh he is saying SNAKES.

Of course by that time I couldn't tell him he had the word wrong because I'd been listening for about ten minutes. I felt bad.
