Just a note that I fixed up some of the tags- some were spelled wrong (oops) and there were extras like 'rock' and 'forgot the rest' so I edited the tags on one or two posts. I also removed any artist: tags where they hadn't been used yet - as members can create their own tags, they can make theirs the first time they post.

I also brought a couple of the artist: tags in line with the majority- for whatever reason most don't have a space (like artist:skoolmunkee) so the few that had spaces (like artist: skoolmunkee) no longer have a space. I think that should keep the artist list in alphabetical order? People's posts should have auto updated with that change so no need to go back and check- sorry to those of you that got your space removed, I know people don't like others messing with their space (haw)

I wish there was a way to automatically apply a tag to all the artists from the first round besides editing each entry, it looks like it's a small community if you just look at the tagged artist list :[

Also as a quick reminder to folks, you do NOT need to apply to join the community if you just want to watch it. You can add it as a friend for that. We've rejected several 'join' requests because they haven't been accompanied by an app post (see tag 000 application post) which I can only assume were put in because they wanted to watch.

ONLY JOIN THE COMM IF YOU PLAN ON POSTING WITH ART. YOU DO ~NOT~ NEED TO JOIN TO WATCH THE COMM OR COMMENT. YOU WILL BE REJECTED, WHICH DOESN'T AFFECT YOU, BUT IT'S A PAIN TO THE MODS.

IF YOU PUT IN A REQUEST THROUGH THE LJ SYSTEM TO BE PART OF THE COMM BECAUSE YOU WANT TO PUT UP ART, BUT DON'T APPLY WITH EXAMPLES OF ART, YOU WILL BE REJECTED WITHIN 24 HOURS.

IF YOU APPLY WITH EXAMPLES OF ART BUT DON'T PUT IN A REQUEST THROUGH THE LJ SYSTEM, WE WILL GENERALLY REMIND YOU TO PLEASE PUT IN A REQUEST, BUT IF WE HAVE A BUNCH OF APPS WE MIGHT FORGET TO REMIND YOU AND YOU WILL BE IN LIMBO.

Okay, I haven't changed the app entry or the userinfo yet, but (they have been updated) these are some of the changes taking place:

1) When you apply to Pokémonathon, you, the aspiring Pokénaut, need to specify if you will be doing generation 1 of Pokémon, or generation 2. You CANNOT interchange between the two, you decide on one and do THAT ONE. We won't go on to any other generation of Pokémon until a couple people finish generation 2, and a couple more finish generation 1.

For those of you that have recently been approved, or anyone that's a bit into generation 1, you can specifiy right now on this post if you want to do generation 2. If you're well into generation 1, you might as well stick it out and finish it and be a true Pokénaut badass!

2) You still have to do the lists in order. Yes, it's repetitive, but it's a CHALLENGE. It's not a draw your favorite Pokémon then quit deal. (If we didn't do it in a list you KNOW we'd be seeing pretty much the same Pokémon over and over again, so either way it'd be repetitive.)

3) The general rule is 3 images per day, but we decided to change it to up to 9 images per day. We don't want a single person spamming the comm thus we implemented that rule in the first place, plus this way you can draw a lot, built up a good backlog, then post day to day for the viewer's enjoyment. (Nothing like waiting for your favorite artist to post.) If you're gonna post more than 3 in one entry, though, PLEASE USE AN LJ CUT. If the images are very large too, under a cut.

4) There's no "5 day absence and you're fired" rule, we never followed it anyway, so if you started long ago and stopped because you figured you were banned, no worries, go ahead and start up again. Or, if you're new, don't stress about it.

I'll wait for the rest of the lovely Modteam to get back to me, but it looks like POKEMONATHON 2 is gonna happen under this roof! In lieu of a final decision, I went ahead and did a small thing:

Members may now add new tags. That means you can now go back, find your posts, and add a snazzy artist tag! Yay! Artist tags must follow this format:

artist:yourljusername

You'll notice a little artist:oxboxer tag in the tag list, so that's your example.

You can also tag the Pokemon from P:2 once you get to them, instead of waiting for us mods to add them! Which is nice. Just make sure when you put them in, they're spelled correctly.

Abuse of tagging priveleges (oooh that sounds so official) will result in the mods taking away your new toys.

And now this is gonna get repeated 500 times but it's okay because it bears repeating: IF YOU SENT IN AN APPLICATION IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS AND NOTHING HAPPENED, TRY AGAIN. REMEMBER TO INCLUDE AN ARTS SAMPLE/QUICK LINK TO YOUR ARTS IN YOUR APP OR YOU WILL PROBABLY BE IGNOREDED.

Now draw yourselves some Pokemons already! :D

Sorry about that. I've had a hard time the past few months so have been ignoring this comm and in fact a lot of pending requests to be added were ignored and they expired.

After looking at Oxboxer's post I'm gonna try to pay attention to this comm again, because I ~do~ like it, just...you know, life and stuff.

IF ANYONE PUT IN A REQUEST IN THE PAST OH I DUNNO 5 MONTHS AND WERE IGNORED PLEASE PUT IN A NEW REQUEST.

I will consider their proposal for a Pokemonathon 2: Electric Boogaloo while I am at work, but I like the idea, and some future changes will prolly be made.
