PokeSpe Scanlation attempt?

I've been posting this in various communities, and I thought I'd give here a shot.

The Pokemon manga community has long bemoaned the fact that we simply cannot find scanlations of Pokemon Special. I hope to alleviate this situation.

As an endeavor that started on PokeCommunity http://pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=118049 , I am trying to arrange a scanlation force to finally release more PokeSpe. Currently, we have a few volumes of either Japanese raws or Chinese or Korean scans (all LQ, sorry), and 2-3 interested editors (myself included), but we are in DIRE NEED of translators.

This is what we have:

Also, I finally got my first PokeSpe manga! Volume 22, I actually got that one cause I wanted to see the FRLG arc but it turns out it only has one chapter of it with a flashback. But it was still nice to see the conclusion to the Ruby/Sapphire arc. Also: WHY IS RED SO POORLY DRAWN?

Does anyone have raws of the Pokemon Special Diamond and Pearl manga? Following it on Netkun is not enough and it seems that everyone on Bulbagarden has them already. I don't know if this is allowed but I uploaded PokeSpe vol 15-17 here.
The manga is all in Korean. The first two vol has decent quality while vol 17 was taken with a camera so some parts are blurry.
Vol 15 contains the last chap of the Gold/Silver/Crystal arc and the beginning of the Sapphire/Ruby arc. I don't have all the S/R arc but I'm trying hard to get them. >_<

In my case, my fave is the Ruby/Sapphire arc due to its complex storyline ~~(and because I'm a Ruby fangirl)~~. What about you?

Diamond/Pearl doesn't count since it's still brand new (besides the main plot hasn't started yet).

Hi! My name is Viki Victoria. I'm a Poké Supe fan as well a general pokémon fan. This community is a bit dead as I noticed yesterday. However, there are many things of Poké Supe we can talk about (especially the unexplained parts) from whatever saga. Here's hoping this is okay... I've done the same thing over on pokemon_pipipi and tracey_sketchit, but those are my communities, so who knows. Anyway, this community seems lifeless, so what better to wake it up than some fic?

Over on Bulbagarden forums there's this game: One person posts a random line, and the next person to post takes that line and uses it as the start to a mini-ficlet. These are the stories I've come up with based on Pokemon Special. Some of the ones I wrote about Gym Leaders or game characters without specifically stating a setting are going here, too, because they COULD be Special-based... >_> Also some of them were written before certain plot points were revealed, so they go against canon, but whatever.

Warnings for: Gayness AND straightness. Also some pointless short one-liners because I was lacking in inspiration for some of the lines.

An opera chorus was doing a butchered version of "One-Winged Angel" as the young boy reached the top of the tower.

Wally was panting, gasping, and out of breath from his trek through 50 floors of the Sky Pillar. He collapsed and his iPod fell out of his pocket.

"Have contempt for me if you will! I'm used to getting cold stares from you!"

"This is a phone call, Dad," Ruby scoffed. "I'm not staring at you."

"I can tell the look on your face by the tone in your voice," Senri replied. "Anyway, it's final. You and your mother are moving to Houen."

Ruby's mother glanced over at her son from where she was watching the news, and smiled. Ruby will be so happy once we get to Mishiro Town and I tell him the good news!

Ruby angrily slammed the receiver down and stormed off to his bedroom.

When I look at the whitecaps of the ocean, I see eternity...

The radio said there would be a huge storm tonight; "Everyone stay indoors." I don't care. This is the moment I've been waiting for. My parents are off visiting friends across town, so I grab my surfboard and head down to the beach.

The wind whips wildly around me, burning my exposed skin, as I stare out to sea. Briefly an image crosses my mind -- a newsflash: "Gym Leader's son, 13, drowned during storm." I push it aside and run into the water.

This is my "big wave."

"No way! Not until I've had my coffee!"

Green glared resentfully at Shijima. "You said to be up at four AM sharp, and I am. I was even early! Come on, Sensei; I know I can beat you today!"

Shijima glowered at Green, then returned his gaze to his coffee maker. "You don't want to train with me until I've had my morning coffee. Trust me."

"I absolutely love huge Barboach! If you have one, can you show it to me?"

"BARBOACH?!" I couldn't keep myself from gagging. "What do you see in such an ugly Pokemon?!"

The random trainer I'd encountered on my way to Slateport rolled her eyes. "You're so dense, you know that? When I said 'I love huge Barboach,' I meant--"

"Barboach are hideous!" I continued. I began to get a glimmer of what she meant, but I went on: "They're just awful! The Pokemon I want to see more than anything is Milotic. Do you know where I can find one?"

"Oh, sure," she replied. "They evolve from Feebas, and you can find those on Route 119. But like I was saying, 'Barboach' was a metaphor, you know! It means..."

I was no longer listening. Milotic evolve from Feebas? That meant that my Mimi would evolve into the most beautiful Pokemon in the world? My knees went weak and I tuned everything else out. "Feebas evolves into Milotic... the epitome of ugliness evolves into the zenith of beauty..."

The girl stared at me as if I'd said something weird. "You and your Barboach don't want anything to do with girls, do you?"

"I'm telling you, I don't have a Barboach!"

"You *are* a girl, aren't you? In a way?"

Yellow blushed. "No, I'm not!" She pulled her hat down tighter around her head. "Th-that ponytail is just... I just have long hair! Can't boys have long hair?"

Red sighed. "That's too bad."

Her eyes widened. "Too bad why?"

"Because... because I think I was falling in love with you before I saw your hair... and I'm straight."

"Or maybe you're afraid to accept the truth."

"And what truth would that be?" Senri demanded, staring down at his watch. How long was his wife going to ramble on about their nine-year-old son? It was late. He had to prepare the Gym for the next day.

Her voice came over the phone; "Is it that you don't like Contests? Or is it something else?"

"I don't like the idea of Ruby participating in Contests."

"That isn't what I asked."

"What's the difference?"

She sighed. "Would you forbid him if he were a girl?"

"I-- what?!" He stared in disbelief into thin air.

"Honey... I know what you're really upset about. You think Contests are girly." When he didn't answer, she went on. "Today Ruby told me he has a crush on a classmate. A male classmate."

Senri hung up.

"I will never give in to defeat! I won't become like you!"

The ten-year-old boy stared up at his father defiantly, fury evident on both their faces. The other Contest participants stared in confusion and annoyance.

"Hey!" exclaimed the girl whose Nyasu Ruby's Eneko had just defeated in the Cute division. "This is no place to fight! Take it outside!"

"I told you," Senri said, ignoring the girl, "no Contests. Come on; we're going home."

"I am not!" Ruby turned and ran.

Senri sighed and rubbed his forehead. He felt a migraine coming on.

"He sliced through the statue with his FISTS!!"

"His... fists?" Whitney blinked. "That'd be pretty hard to do, wouldn't it? Don'cha mean 'his bare hands'?"

In another corner of the room, Chuck raised a fist and sliced through a statue with it. Whitney stared in disbelief, while Falkner smugly replied, "I told you so."

"What exactly are you going to do with that fork?"

Will looked up at Lance, who was glaring at him, then went back to staring intently at his Abra. "Well, I think my Abra is about to evolve. When she does, I want to give her this fork so she'll have a fork instead of a spoon, y'know? Then she'll be able to use attacks like Cut and Fury Swipes."

"And Slash?" Lance inquired snidely.

"You have a sick, sick mind, Lance."

"If I told you that, would you believe me?"

Ruby stared quizzically at the PokeGear in his hand as he walked along toward some random city. "Of course I wouldn't believe you. My father hates Contests. He'd never let me compete in them."

"But then," Mom replied, "why did he say 'Don't come home until you've achieved your goal'?"

"He obviously saw reason." Ruby shrugged. "I don't know."

"Ruby," said Mom, "he was going to let you participate in Contests all along. It's all written here in this note!"

"What note, Mom? You know I can't see over the telephone." He rolled his eyes.

"It was with your birthday present, those shoes. You threw it away without reading it."

Gone are the days when underage witches and wizards were allowed to practice magic on holidays, and now this proves why…. Some of them SIMPLY CAN’T BE TRUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111" Whitney cried in her best imitation of a Snape voice.

Janine rolled her eyes. "Don't you mean, 'Gone are the days when our conventions would be bustling with Gym Leaders from all over the nation, and now we know why....'"

"Some of them are too busy running their Gyms?" came Norman's voice, sarcastically, from the door.

The few Gym Leaders who were there got quiet and blushy.

"I hope you don't mind," the Normal-type Leader went on, "but I've brought my son with me." A boy of about ten or eleven, wearing a white cap, poked his head out from behind Norman. "His name is Ruby, and he needs to learn the ways of the Pokemon battler."

"No, really, I--" Ruby tried to speak up.

"Oh, he's so CUTE!" Flannery exclaimed.

"We'll gladly teach you the way of the Pokemon battler!" Giggling, Whitney took one of Ruby's arms and Janine took the other, and they led him into a mass of giggling girls.

Norman slapped his forehead.

"Hey, hey, hey! Do you know that suitcase is empty?"

"That's alright. We'll fill it up before we leave."

Ruby paid no mind to his mother and the noisy movers as he stared longingly at the trophy wall above his bed. There was a ribbon for cuteness, won by Coco... and there was the ribbon for intelligence, won by his Ruru.

"Hey Ruby," his mother called as she heaved a suitcase up off the floor. "Are you going to pack those ribbons? You know your father will have a fit!"

"Isn't that reason enough to pack them?" he replied simply.

"Here we are!"

"Lovely. Where is 'here'?"

"The Axis of Evil, of course!" Gold explained, exasperated. Then he collapsed in the sand, having not had a drink of water in days.

"Stupid Middle East," Silver scowled. Then he kissed Gold, magically reviving him.

"o_O" said Gold. "I see why they call it the Axis of Evil."

"...I'm scared," he admitted at last.

"Of a little bitty cave?" Gold raised one eyebrow.

"Well... well, ever since I was a kid I've been scared of the dark!" Silver put his hands on his hips and glared at Gold. "And it's NOT funny!"

"No, no, of course not." He discreetly slipped the tape recorder back into his pocket, turning it off, saving it for further use.

Hi, I'm just a random lurker spreading the news of something that popped up one day on Viz's website concerning Pocket Monsters SPECIAL or Pokemon Adventures if you prefer, one day over a month ago. This.

So, what is this "The Best of Pokemon Adventures: Red?" Barnes & Noble also lists a second volume with Yellow set to be released on December 19, with Red being released on October 3. So, just what is it? One theory I have herd is because of "The Best of..." it might contain the best chapters of the arcs. A conclusion that I came to after reading the summary on Viz's site was a republishing of the whole arcs with better translations and unflipped pages, but then I notice that it had less pages then the first volume of Pokemon Adventures. So maybe it's just a preview a few years late or another chance of more PokeSpecial and other Pokemon manga to come to the states? Who knows?
