YOUR POKéMON PREFERENCES

What are your favourite Pokémon? Ampharos, Mareep, Drifblim, Shuckle, Piplup and Combee, in roughly that order.
Do you have a favourite type? Electric and ice types for sure, I'm not certain why. They just appeal to me more.
What's your favourite aspect of Pokémon? Do you like playing the video games maybe, or the TCG, or watching the anime? Or even getting involved in fandom? I love the games (apart from Mystery Dungeon, which I thought really sucked) and the anime (and the music OMG SQUEE), but by far my favourite part is the TCG. I only picked it up last year, but it's become one of the overriding influences on my life. Which is kinda sad, but oh well - we've got a small playerbase in Australia so we're all pretty good friends, and I love the strategy and collecting elements of it :3 And I love meeting people and making new friends. And... spending money on my collection >_>;;
What Pokémon don't you like? PROBOPASS. D: I also have a slight personal vendetta against Delibird, because I'd been waiting for a penguin Pokémon for years before Piplup turned up and people kept insisting Delibird is a penguin. But it's OK, I don't hate it much. As obsessive as I am, I can probably find something good about just about every Pokémon.
What attracts you to Pokémon? What don't you like about Pokémon? It was definitely the cuteness and collecting factor that drew me to Pokémon in the first place. Then I played the games and thought they were awesome, but it's the cuteness that's keeping me, I think. Though I'm not too fussed, I'll collect pretty much everything Pokémon, cute or not >_>. As for what I don't like? FANDOM WANK. D:

I'm in my third year of university, studying software engineering (basically computer science with more management/professional skills) and maths (pure and discrete). I love hanging out with my friends at uni (and outside of it) but hate doing assignments and tests/exams, omg.

What are your favourite Pokémon? Umbreon, Espeon, Raikou, Latias, Gardevoir, Flygon, Typhlosion, Aron, Leafeon, Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit, Vulpix - the list goes on. ^_^;
Do you have a favourite type? Dragon and psychic.
What's your favourite aspect of Pokémon? Do you like playing the video games maybe, or the TCG, or watching the anime? Or even getting involved in fandom? I am particular to the games most of all, but I am pretty involved in the fandom as well. I have cosplayed pokemon characters before, gone into in-depth roleplays, drawn fanart, and of course collect items of my favourite pokemon. I've also acted as a character at card tournaments.
What Pokémon don't you like? I'm not really fond of fighting types, or grass types (with the exception of Leafeon, which I adore.)
What attracts you to Pokémon? What don't you like about Pokémon? The idea of 'collecting' in the games, really, and the world that it takes place in - so different and much more simple than ours.

What do you like listening to? I am a fan of some J-pop, soundtracks (video game, anime and American movie/tv), classical, new age - more specifically, The Beatles, Savage Garden, Evanescence, Hikaru Utada, Maaya Sakamoto, John Williams, Nobuo Uematsu.
What do you like to read? A lot of things. I enjoy fiction, but I am more interested in non-fiction things like books on science, and especially medicine/pathology.

What are your favourite Pokémon? MEOWTH (I collect him more than others, but I have a little bit of a collection going for each of my favs), Nidoking, Lati@s, Lucario, Lugia, Weavile, Espeon, Mime Jr, Shinx (the whole evo line), Entei aaand Bulbasaur. X3
Do you have a favourite type? Not particularly. Grass, maybe. I always try to start out with the grass starter (sept in Pearl, because I didn't really like Turtwig).

The video games are fun, but I'm done pretty much when I beat them- I don't team build or anything. The TCG is fun to collect and it'd be fun to build decks one day when I have the time/money. The anime is what REALLY got me into Pokemon full fledged obsession-wise, but I don't watch it anymore because it's depressingly stupid, IMO. I hung in up til the new voice actors, and then I quit (they ruined Butch and Cassidy- UNFORGIVABLE!!). Buuuut I am in love with the first and second seasons. <3
What Pokémon don't you like? I don't have any Pokemon that I have a particular vendetta against, but most of the Ancient Power Pokemon of the fourth Gen feel unneeded and ugly- the only two I like of them are Electivire and Mamoswine. The others are gross and need some design help.
What attracts you to Pokémon? What don't you like about Pokémon? The malleability of the human characters for roles in a role play situation is really attractive to me- I role play a lot of Rockets, because I love villains. Also, I find that if you can find mature and happy people, the fandom is pretty attractive. On the flip side, people can definitely ruin the fandom, and I tend to get sick of endless wank and crybabies. I also dislike the direction that the anime has gone in, obviously- they need some creative help these days. I wish they'd focus on the villains more, or just write them off if they're not doing anything constructive anymore...

How old are you/when were you born? I was born in the great year of 1987. The year of the Max Headroom pirating incident, when The New Statesman was on the box, and when...when..when John Constantine (Hellblazer) first appeared in Swamp Thing.

I feel old, and yet - horrifically bitter that I missed all of these things firsthand. :(
Where do you live? At the moment I'm in Marshall, NC (until January), and then I'm moving to Corpus Christi, TX.

Do you have a favourite type? No, not really - I mean, aesthetically I like Dark and Ghost pokemon, but no. I really don't have a preference.

I really can't choose just one, seeing how I do all of the above (minus fandom) on a fairly regular basis. But I guess if I had to pick one, augh. It's a two in one thing, as to what draws me to it and makes me dislike it at the same time - some people treat this fandom like family while others are just such wankers that they trample all over it for the sake of being 'the best' or having 'the most' of whatever, but I guess you just take the good with the bad. What do you like listening to? I listen to a lot of new wave, post-punk, psycho/rockabilly, industrial, and deathrock. I can't just have one favourite band though, it's a toss up between Oingo Boingo and The Reverend Horton Heat. Music is a big part of my life, talk to me about it. :B
What do you like to read? Mostly horror, some science fiction, political history, and a few 'colourful' autobiographies.

Right now I'm not doing anything (family emergency), but I'm usually a penniless college student (hopefully) on the track to becoming a comedian. The worst part is I'm stuck here, alone, doing nothing but writing (what I'm positive is complete drivel, since I have no one around to show it to), on the flip side - I've got tons of ideas down on paper now, and it's pretty fulfilling to see all of that work.

I play Animal Crossing religiously, I like painting stuff on my clothes, and I love telling stories.
