I watched Kamina kick ass and then I went to class, but staying up past 4am rly shot me for the rest of the day. So I left early. But stopped by the bookstore to buy chocolate and caffeine or I would have passed out before I made it home. And then when I got home Jackie was still in bed so I went upstairs and passed out for a good two hours. Only to be woken up to DAD JUST WON 100K IN MONOPOLY. Only not rly though. It would have been bad ass though. Then I wouldn't have to spend my own money on plane tickets. And I could continue to blow it. Like I am now. I commissioned usakochan for a Ruby Carbuncle hoodie. I've also been shopping around DA for a decent plush maker. I need a Johan plush, to hug and love. And maybe a Jack plushie someday. So I can have all my bishies. And one day I'll fix YnYuugi's hair so it wont fall off when I hug him. AFTER THIS I'M REALLY DONE. I SWEAR. well actually, after next Friday, I can't go to the Mall of America and not spend money. une idée [Friday 10 Oct 2008 @ 08:59pm] memoirsoflife [ mood | enthralled ] So now that livejournal has an active pokemon challenge community(thanks for Kris), I have also noticed that there isn't a pokemon community just for posting icons. Now don't say that people can just post icons at the pokemon community. You rarely see people post icons on there and they do their post gets knocked to the next page due to people just posting lame crap as "OMFG I catch a shiny [insert pokemon name here]". So what I'm trying to say is that livejournal needs a pokemon icon community. I would like to create it myself but my problem is that I'm usually not active on livejournal during the week due to school. So if I can find an additional maintainer, two, or three then I will design the community while I have some free time over the week. So any takers? Painting [Friday 10 Oct 2008 @ 04:47pm] armaina [ mood | artistic ] [ music | Apocalyptica - Ruska ] So I've been getting a real interest in trying painting, Oils, Acrylics, and Watercolor, and moreover, learning how to mix stuff like watercolors with markers and colored pencils. So far just using the oils. I have a nicely sized canvas I'm just throwing down general fields of color so far, Sunsetbird has become my victim again. So far, Oil painting is just fun imo. Sure I may not be able to pull of a lot of detail or something in the beginning, but I find the medium enjoyable to use so far, and rather 'forgiving', it's also fun to be able to blend so easily on the canvas. I'm so glad I have an easel and big canvas to work with. Oh and I now have a nice set of Flesh-tone Copic Sketch Markers. Normally I use prismacolor, but copic just has a way better range for flesh-tone colors, so I was happy to see that the Jerry's Artarama near me carried them so I could actually test and match the colors. Got a set I'm happy with from light to dark so coloring human characters won't be so bad with markers anymore. Also, I hate the copic chisel tip. Also, my 1" button press has no problem using cardstock hurray! Speaking of markers, looks like Dick Blick has their own brand now, I think I may pick up the set of six to give them a try. Can't be any worse than Chartpak Ad Markers :| (for the record, they bleed really bad and are too 'wet') If they're as good as the prismas, what the heck I may just get the 96 set I mean why not. [Friday 10 Oct 2008 @ 08:04pm] polissemia how bad is it when you feel like a foreign at your own country? i mean, i was born in brazil, my family is all brazilian, i never left here and love portuguese so much, but i don't feel like a brazilian. my culture have nothing about brazil (excepting for some comics from here that really rocks - brazil is good at comics) and i hate the "brazilian way" (it's basically being lazy and deceiving everyone you can), carnaval, hot days, funk/samba/axe/pagode and this poor pride that most of all brazilians have. even if you have money, you must pretend you're poor and be proud of that - but always showing everyone the last stuff you bought, like last-gen cellphones and sound systems. it's so freak. and brazilian people are funnyless. ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME, FUCKING "HUMOR" SHOWS? YOU'RE NOT FUNNY. brazilian healthy and education are the worst ever. you have to pay for it, or you're screwed. if you're black, you have preference in universities. YOU TAKE MY FUCKING PLACE AT COLLEGE ONLY BECAUSE OF THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN. you don't have to be poor, only black. and to enter to an university here you have to do a fucking test with everything you had in high school and be better than dozens of people. or you pay your panties for a bad one. i hate it. i fucking hate it. i don't belong to this fucking country. all i want is marring and moving from here as soon as can. maybe to somewhere in europe or north america, idk. all i know is that i wanna be away from here. i need it. I don't care if there aren't any belt loops, if it's gonna be the middle of summer, I don't want to waste time with a zipper. (Well, another, as I'm putting it in a shirt pattern since it's the only thing I could find.) And the Arkivestry ones. *I located the new Psyduck plushie. :) The bad news is, the Halloween festival is on the 16th, which is a Thursday. And I work on that day. Sorry, no thanks. Maybe I might find some other event. On the actual Halloween, though, it's trick-or-treat time in my neighborhood. I still don't know if I'm supposed to be at work then. My dad is ok, it's not a bad heart problem, but he's unhappy about the doctor making him wait so long for a complete diagnosis. -sigh- Morons. I'm glad that this weekend I don't have to stay after closing, and on Monday, I can go to "Fright Fest". Which means a LOT of photos. Between the time I signed off and started getting ready for bed, I got a runny nose. By the time I actually crawled into bed, my sinuses were all clogged up, my throat was sore, and I had that really, really shitty feeling you get when you catch a cold--you know where you're just so tired you can't function? Good thing it happened at night but the problem was I felt so shitty because of that AND cramps that I just couldn't sleep. XD; So I had one of the crappiest sleeps I've had in a loooong time. Baw. Anyway, on the way to work today dad remembered that yesterday we got a call from the doctor I saw last month; I seem to have a surgery date. October 29th, which is a little weird. Sooner than I'd expected, especially since she wanted me to get an ultrasound beforehand and that's scheduled for November 18th so... so that'll have to be rescheduled. XD I called to confirm a few hours after I started work but they don't answer phones on Friday so I just left a message asking if I should just arrange an ultrasound elsewhere or what. :/ There's also supposed to be a pre-op appointment so I don't know when that is. @_@; Augh, now that I have a date for it I'm kinda nervous. It's... it's not major and it's a typical procedure, though, so it won't be too bad. At least, if it's successful, I'll finally be rid of these goddamn cramps. DD: *sigh* I'm just counting down the hours until I can go home. x_x;; I'm exhausted, my nose hurts, and I'm so sleepy. Flashcarts really can do anything. - watched the Powerthirst videos by picnicface. LOLOLOLOLOL. 'You'll have so many babies! 400 BABIES! Feed your babies powerthirst and make them run ABNORMALLY FAST! they'll run so fast people will think they're KENYANS! they'll run faster than KENYANS! they'll race with real KENYANS! and they'll tie and they'll be deported back to KENYAAAAA!!!!' - played Animal Crossing: Wild World. Yes, i know elsewhere in this journal it is written that this games sucks, but that's because i hadn't played it myself and it wasn't competitive so i just assumed it sucked. - studied plane graphs *yawn* - woke up at 6:17 because of a nightmare/because my retainers hurt. They kept me up until 3 am, too. - thought about possible halloween costume ideas for mel's party. they included various pokemon, and the female sign on bathroom doors. well. i'm dead tired. the retainers keep me awake. but even without them, i've been having nightmares. hope everyone enjoys their last few days of freedom. things to look forward to: - being able to do what i like, whenever i like. that'll be a planet's weight off my shoulders. i don't mean i want to be able to spit on street corners and smoke cigarettes. i mean i look forward to the day i get to go out with my friends on a friday. when i can see a movie without having to have a massive argument about it. one day. 3 //Catch a Pokemon // link
