| Ditto...? |
[Jul. 6th, 2008|12:08 am] |
Hi everyone, this might be a little pathetic for a first post here... but here we go:
Would anyone be able to trade me a ditto for breeding? Any level is fine, I just need the pokémon. ^__^ As for what you want for it... I don't have much, but I'll listen to what you would want in return for one. I'm hoping that you'll accept fodder though.
Please reply? You'd be helping me out greatly!

EDIT:: I found what I needed. Thank you!
If anyone wants to trade, message me and we'll sort something out! Battles are good too! |

Would a Ditto breed with a Ditto to get a Ditto? |

I have a question about Ditto
I'm confused as to what stats actually get copied by Ditto. Does it copy the opponents stats? All if it's stats except HP? Does it copy it's EVs, or does it use it's own EVs? Does it copy it's type and abilities?
I would assume that Ditto does copy it's opponents type and ability, but I'm not sure about stats.
I'm thinking about raising a Ditto purely for luls. It makes me laugh when it turns into another pokémon. I wish they would keep the dumb Ditto face like the Clefairy in the slot machines.

| How to pass down a move to another pokemon? |
[Jun. 14th, 2007|10:54 pm] |
I looked at breeding guides but it doesn't answer my question.
In my FireRed, I'm trying to breed my Persian with a Ditto so that the move "Thief" could be passed down to the offspring but the move doesn't seem to be passing down. Is Thief limited to just one pokemon?
My persian is female. Does this matter? |

| Breeding Dilemma: Females and Egg Moves |
[Jun. 6th, 2007|12:55 am] |
For a while I've been working to breed a Spoink that knows Extrasensory, which can only be accomplished by breeding a Vulpix with a Spoink or Grumpig. My main problem was that the only Vulpix I had was a low level, so I traded with a friend to get a higher-level Vulpix so it would be easier to train to level 44 (where it learns Extrasensory)... but it was female, when I needed a male. I looked up the egg moves of Vulpix to make sure that Extrasensory was on the list.
"Okay," I thought, "I'll just breed it with a Ditto first, and then when I get a male Vulpix to hatch I'll breed that with my Grumpig to get a Spoink with Extrasensory."
So I then trained the Vulpix using an Exp. Share while I leveled up a few other Pokemon I was training. After a couple of days the Vulpix made it to level 44 and I taught it Extrasensory. I then went back to Solaceon and stuck it in the daycare with a Ditto in hopes that I would finally get a male Vulpix with Extrasensory. The first egg I got I hatched quickly, and as luck would have it it was a male Vulpix! I checked out its stats and then went on to the moves.
It only knew Ember. No Flamethrower, no Payback, no Will-O-Wisp, no Extrasensory.
Needless to say I was extremely unhappy!! I hatched the next Vulpix egg and sure enough, this one also only knew Ember. I then went to the GTS and traded for a male Vulpix (level 24), and so now I'm just going to just have to level THIS one up until it learns Extrasensory in order to breed with my Grumpig and finally, FINALLY get the Spoink with the move that I desire.
So! My question is "will breeding a Ditto with a female Pokemon yield a new Pokemon that has egg moves passed on from the mother, since the 'father' only knows Transform?" I really want to think that this was just a fluke... but I'm asking to make sure. |

| Breeding Questions from a Newbie |
[May. 26th, 2007|06:51 pm] |
Ok.. Completely new to breeding and I had some questions... Sorry if they've already been answered... I checked the memories and tags and found nothing.
1> can a ditto breed with male pokemon or only female? Will they make an egg of the male? Can they breed with any group (other than none?)
2> It says the length of time to make an egg is dependant on steps.. anyone know roughly how many?
Any other tips for a newbie? The guide doesn't tell me much and I can't find a decent breeding guide online. Anyone have a good link they can toss at me to get me to leave you guys alone? :D
Thanks muchly in advance! |

If I have a Ditto holding an Everstone breeding with a female pokémon also holding an Everstone, is there now a 75% chance of passing on their natures? 100%?
Also, I'm totally pumped. I found my Feebas square last night and caught a whole box full. Too bad only two of them had natures that like dry poffins. :/ I'm giving one to my boyfriend, but if anyone is interested in a Feebas (some are of neutral nature), I'd be happy to trade one for a Skorupi (or anything really). The more trainer IDs the better! |
