About
This is a community for all those people out there who are into poi spinning, staffs, devil sticks, juggling, club swinging, diablo and anything else along those lines. I started it because there was nothing else on LiveJournal exclusively for spinners everywhere, and not just in a specific geographical area.
Anyone of any level is welcome, whether an absolute beginner or a seasoned professional. We like professionals though. They can teach us things and have Jedi-like powers.
- This is a universal community for all ages. No explicit images or texts of any kind.
- Please do not start arguments, or slander other members. So what if someone can't master a certain move and wants help? You were a beginner as well once. It doesn't make you better than them. Any problems report it to

clairebemoo. Consistently abusive members will be banned. - Picture posts are welcome, as long as they are of yourself or you have the express permission of the person who is in/took the photograph to use it. Please include some text in the post explaining what it is a picture of.
- Only one picture of 500x500 pixels, 200kb before you have to use an LJ cut. Images can of course be smaller than this, but no bigger because it clutters up friends' pages and makes them difficult to read.
- No ad posts. This includes links to Ebay auctions if you are the one selling. Posts such as these will be deleted without warning. Links to auctions that aren't yours are allowed, if the reason you are including the link is for demonstration purposes.
- No encouraging dangerous behaviour of any kind, for example, telling someone to spin with fire without taking the proper precautions. Posts like this will be removed without warning.

homeofpoi - Excellent site with some free lessons for beginners and an online shop.
poiinthepark - UK poi community based in Sheffield
firetoys - Site where you can get nearly all fire-based circus props
domorepoi - Good site for lessons. Must have Flash Player 7 to view. Lessons can be paused and played extremely slowly, very helpful if you're trying to learn a new move.
