Hi all
I'm a UK based fire spinner, but in about 5 months time I'm moving to Vancouver, and I was hoping somebody here might know of any groups that meet to spin in the city. Thanks!

Btw, the userpic is me using an Aerotech Glostaff Pro at a nightclub event at Loughborough Students Union. Really nice staff, gives very good pics :) A bit on the weighty side though, and is very smooth, so can't do much contact without it sliding all over the place....

Check out homeofpoi.com's "meet others" tab and enter Vancouver into the search. Looks like a few spinners out that way.

Spent a couple of months in Vancouver last year, can't give you any leads but certainly saw people spinning in the parks, so there's definitely people you'll be able to find. Check out the shops around commercial drive, which is kind of the gay/hippy/student/alternative area. Friend I was staying with lived on the drive and it's such a great area to be.

Good luck with the move, I'm planning to make it myself in the next few years.

Definitely agree there. There's people about, but tracking them down can be a little tricky at times. BJC is coming up at the end of the month, which is a good way of finding peeps though :)

aye the only people i've ever found that spin are people i introduced to poi or a few at convnetions.

BJC = British Juggling Convention (www.bjc2008.co.uk). Not just for jugglers, met same damn good spinners there last year :) It's in Doncaster this year, from 26th to 30th of March. Good times will be had by all :D
