| About: | I don't suppose most drunks regret starting a poetry community come morning... well, perhaps it'll start a trend.![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} poetry_wars is (yes, a silly name) a community where you take turns posting favorite poems until someone strikes a chord. It began when I posted a poem in my journal, and ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} widget_alley posted one in return. I rebutted with another poem along a similar theme and thus began the Great Poetry War. We decided to move our battles to a community where they wouldn't spill into our friends lists and alienate half of our friends. So. The point of this community is to take turns posting poems along a theme (whatever strikes your fancy, really, as long as it's inspired by the most recent poem), until someone cracks. Any takers? Rules: - Separate posts. - And please God no originals. - Really long poems should go behind LJ cuts with teasers, obviously. Kind of like icons! - Title format: "response to [last poem posted]: title of your poem" - Obviously, no spamming - Although an accidental double post ain't the end of the world.
