Burglarize houses but instead of stealing, leave Poetic-Terrorist objects. Kidnap someone & make them happy. Pick someone at random & convince them they're the heir to an enormous, useless & amazing fortune--say 5000 square miles of Antarctica, or an aging circus elephant, or an orphanage in Bombay, or a collection of alchemical mss. Later they will come to realize that for a few moments they believed in something extraordinary, & will perhaps be driven as a result to seek out some more intense mode of existence."... What is this community? No shape has been taken yet. Let's share stories and ideas. Let's inspire one another, and go out and take action.
Because Poetic Terrorism should be shocking and awe inspiring, there needs to be rules for this community to exist. We have to be a semi-secret club. Here are the rules:
1) All posts must be marked "friends only".
2) If you join, post at least once. Make an introductory post. Tell us why you are here, and why you are interested. We want to know who you are if you want to watch what we do. While I don't necessarily want everyone posting daily, I do not want people watching anonymously.
3) Debate is encouraged but flame wars will not be tolerated. Be smart. We want to be an army of intelligent guerilla artists, not a pack of fools. If you disagree with someone, challenge them to see your point of view.
That will be all for now. Rules may be changed, added or removed as time goes. I will make posts to the community as this occurs.
Remember, the best PT usually is not promoting a particular agenda. We want to inspire people to see things differently, not specifically. We want people to discover worlds they have not experienced yet, not to thrust them into our own. |
