20th-Aug-2008 10:13 pm - brief life update.

  • I started work on Monday in the GT Irvine office.

  • My training group of 7 for the Southern California region were assigned our laptops that day at 3:30 PM. It's not as great as it sounds now because it means that work follows you home. >_<;;

  • My schedule for most of the week in Los Angeles requires me to wake up at 5 AM to start my day and leave the office at 7 PM. I get home at about 8:15 PM, eat dinner, shower and sleep before 11 PM. Thus, I have very little Internet/free/me/any time.
  • But alas, GT treats the new hires well (a.k.a. pays for our gasoline + parking + lunches). Some seniors and associates took us out to lunch on our first day where the bill came to $500 for 10 of us. And even today, they paid for our $200 total [premium] sandwich lunch. Now, this I could get used to. ^_^;;

  • I can't dress anymore conservative than I already do at this point. I am a mirror of the office standards it seems: slacks + dress shirt + heels + bag + portfolio + huge computer bag with laptop. I blend right in. Unfortunately, they only realize that I'm clueless and new when I can't find the break room or bathroom.

  • This seems like very much an adult-filled world

  • I got assigned to my first client already. I start Monday in Santa Ana.

  • It is a 50 hour workweek. (My life is gone.)

  • At the end of the day, I admit that I sort of sigh and wonder, "I just barely graduated from college. Am I ready for this?

But in the end, I'm sure this job will benefit me for the better. Who knows who I'll meet, what I'll learn and what this job will bring me...

Do you have a current order with me for either rings, pins or for a pearl chain brooch?

If so, I am going to try my extreme hardest to finish all outstanding orders by this weekend. For the most part, they are half finished, but I seriously don't have time during the weekdays to touch anything. If your order is not finished by this weekend and you would like a refund, please let me know. I can simply sell that finished brooch to someone else~
20th-Aug-2008 10:49 pm - GAHHHHHHHH
tooo much going on this fall....

@_@;;;;
20th-Aug-2008 09:31 pm - Oh hay.
Baby hime hump! I didn't want to destroy too much of my hair in case backcombing it made it fall out or something. So here's my mini hump!

ps. I made the hair corsage! <3 Also, a sneak peak of my new dress. Ooooh~

Waking up at 7am to get to work by 8, then having my very first customer give me a stink eye and tell me I have "an attitude" = reason for baggy eyes.
20th-Aug-2008 11:12 pm - RRRR ARRGHH
WHY DO I EAT SO MUCH.

T___T STOP EATING, YOU.

20th-Aug-2008 04:12 pm - Re: Anonymous Meme
The anonymous meme post got maxed out on comments so I'm going to reply here.

To the second person who commented: Care to share what that setting is? Feel free to comment anonymously if you want to keep your anonymity.
21st-Aug-2008 05:52 pm - Thoughts for today
I have, um, acquired all of Radiohead's albums and I have to say I don't get what the big deal is.

OK Computer is a masterpiece of epic proportions for sure, and definitely one of my favorite albums, but their other albums are kind of boring.

Now I'm making American chop suey and it's (hopefully) going to be amazing... we shall see.
20th-Aug-2008 02:48 pm - It is happy

So I just found out  yesterday that my picture from the Kera snap at ax actually made it in the magazine.
Yay happy. And I thought it was an awful picture. XP I is the one in red and strawberries.
20th-Aug-2008 02:04 pm - Alley culture
Dear anon who left a pile of perfectly good furniture by the trash in the alley,

Thanks for the new tv stand!

20th-Aug-2008 12:37 pm - Five Q&A with Alice and Wendy

[1]How may I contact you with questions regarding a product?

A: Through our site’s email address, us@coquettecandy.com , we’ll answer questions in the order received…

W: By whomever is online, or checking messages at that time. For this reason, please do not send multiple messages if you do not receive a quick reply.

[2]Where can I post commentary regarding a product?

W: Two places, one being the introduction to the series on our livejournal blog, the second on our account over at Poupee girl.

A: =3

[3]How do I make suggestions?

A: On the item when it has been posted at poupee.

W: I’ll do my best to keep up with commentary and note the suggestions.

[4]How do I see what is coming up?

W: I will be posting formal introductions to the series on livejournal, along with blogging about the status of new series and such.

A: We are also playing around with the idea of having events such as tea parties that will showcase the latest series, allow attendees to see the products up close etc.

W: Stay tuned for more information on that matter!

[5]Where did the characters Candy and Heart come from?

W: A combination of things, really.

Candy to me is just a general sweet lolita and a few of her qualities are ones that I admire or want myself: she has corkscrew curls most of the time because they are my favorite hairstyle, red hair since I’d like it, and freckles because the general consensus there is that they are cute.

Heart has the sort of elegance and refinement that I admire in the gothic lolita fashion, both in her poise and features. I gave her the hime haircut because I really do like it, and it seems to be perfect for that fashion. Her hair color fluctuates between a dark chocolate or black because I have trouble distinguishing black hair from black clothes when coloring, and I’m not too entirely fond of the traditional blue streaks.

Ok so it's about 11 right now and I'm gonna guess around 200 people in line. I really hate House of Blues for shows like this. At least the security is gonna try their best to honor the numbers. Or so they say >.>
20th-Aug-2008 08:38 am - Stolen from a couple peoples
I did this before but it looks like there's new rounds of it every so often.

20th-Aug-2008 01:03 am - I'm here...sort of
Wow. Where has the time gone? No internets omg! Not to mention I was without a phone for an annoying amount of time. Okay. Maybe things are getting back to normal. Maybe...

Anyway, have to run. I hope everyone is having a good week. *-*
19th-Aug-2008 08:20 pm - Tomorrow...
I can't decide if I want to try and get sleep tonight. Of course I WANT to but I don't think I'll be able to actually fall asleep. I have to be up at about 5:30 so I can be in Oceanside for the 7:00 train. If I want to get decent sleep I would go to bed at midnight. But....it's already 8:30 and I only woke up.....five and a half hours ago XD I've been going to bed at like 6am everyday, so having to be up at 5:30? Eh, I could go the whole day with no sleep, not like I haven't done shit like this before for waiting in line! XD I'm gonna see so many of you tomorrow, I'm so excited!

P.s. Donica hasn't contacted me at all about the show. I don't mind ^^ My only regret is that I already gave her the ticket so now I can't give it to one of my friends who wanted to go but don't have a ticket. Bitch better be at the show, I'll be PISSED if she wastes that ticket after what I did to get it.
19th-Aug-2008 04:13 am - Loss
Even after a night of porn, booze, cookie dough, erotica, and physical ecstasy with my beau, I am unable to sleep. Since the recent theme of events seems to be loss, lemme name off the top 3:

I'm gonna miss Gabe so bad. It only fully hit me this evening...he's the third close friend I've lost to Vegas. Damn Vegas. I'm happy for him, though. I knew the school had to be mistaken to turn him down...
Gabe's gonna kick some desert cinema classes' asses. Woohoo!

Pilar fucked me over bad. End of story on that one. Those of you close to me, you know it already.

I've lost 15 pounds this month. Without trying. It's weird...so yeah, I'm down to 141. I don't like getting cold easier.

And this is a note on someone else's loss: You know who you are.
I'm sorry that it didn't work out for you as you hoped it would. I feel bad for you, but honestly, how could you have not seen it coming?

If finding lame excuses to contact me and watching my pages makes you feel better, then go ahead. But I learned my lesson. I can only hope for your sake that you have learned yours...

Don't take this in a negative way...my love doesn't stop when I say goodbye. You know, if you ever needed a place to stay for a bit out here, you know you can have Michelle's room. But to pursue a future together, instead of just nurturing the past, would be a poor decision on both our parts.
18th-Aug-2008 08:58 pm - My Little Pony
18th-Aug-2008 03:47 pm - Sorry, passing out, brb
Our application was accepted.

I'm not ready to move, but since I'm not bringing in any money I don't have a choice in the matter.

I want to look at one more place before we hand in a deposit but the damn company hasn't gotten back to me. I'm getting the key tomorrow morning, so we'll see.

I feel like I'm going to puke.   =X

... you'd think I'd be used to moving by now.

*edit-

Went back to the place for the 3rd time today, feeling much better about it, still not looking forward to moving, but starting to accept it.

Gonna watch Dr. Who now. Season 2, BEGIN!
18th-Aug-2008 03:03 pm - gooo!! goooo!!!!

[info]tuned did that

stupid MICHAEL beat my record but only because he's a CHEATER. A CHEATER.

Photobucket

Kevin and I ran around the art barn (MY PLACE OF WORK D:) for a while, and the Michael joined in and ran around with us. And then he and Kevin jammed and then we went to Whataburger and I got a shake that was WAY TOO BIG (medium size MY ASS D:)

and pictureeeessss.....! )

Photobucket
=3= fwa!!

Tropic thunder was LOL. Maiki and I didn't even notice that was Tom Cruise til the last part of the movie. O__O I wouldn't say BEST COMEDY EVER but I did LOL a lot.

I kept "heh"ing at all the Apocalypse Now/Platoon/etc references; they were very tastefully untastefully done. That is an ART to master the tasteful untasteful. :p
18th-Aug-2008 02:35 pm - MEETUP and retardation.
CHOCOLATE BOX CAFE BRUNCH

Day: Friday. Please let me know if this is alright!
Time: 10:00 AM good for everyone?

PLEASE TO BE BRINGING:
Approx. $20 (or more if you wish. This is just a brunch estimate)
Blanket for to sit upon
Comfortable shoes to walk in. There is a park about TWO BLOCKS from the Cafe where we can sit! It's not far, but if you're planning to wear big shoes, you might want to bring a light pair of flats for the walk.
Gothic and Lolita publications for to fawn

I will also be bringing cards and a board game.

Also if we get hungry after sitting in the park for a while, there are TONS of eateries about, so we can have a late lunch as well! In this case, you may want to bring a little bit more, but everyplace else will be cheaper than the Chocolate Box.

PLEASE RSVP HERE!!! Use RSVP as the title so I know which people are going.

I will also try to get us a reservation on WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. I will be asking if changing the reservation number later is okay, but it would be most helpful if everyone could RSVP by then.
You can also call me and RSVP.

And now for my stupidness )
18th-Aug-2008 12:14 pm - It's kinda funny...
I'm the only person in the drive test waiting area NOT smoking XD

17th-Aug-2008 08:54 pm - Olimpiadas

18th-Aug-2008 01:24 am - Shut up and let me go!
Jimis and I just watched Knocked Up and it was pretty much the Worst Movie Ever. Ugh, why did anyone like that movie? But whatever, I'm a bitch.

Now I'm going to post some pictures.

from my last few days in London )

Now we're going to go burn stuff and get drunk.
