Tutorial 10; Charlize Theron
I haven't done a tutorial for a while. Though I felt bored so I wrote this tutorial.

I use PSP8, I think this can be translatable to other version of PSP and PS.

Please note that this tutorial is to inspire NOT to be copied step by step when making your own icons to share.

o1] __ I start off with this base of Charlize Theron.

o2] __ Duplicate the layer and set it to soft light.

o3] __ Create a new raster layer and fill it with a light blue, I used #E1F4FC. Set it to burn. Duplicate that layer.

o4] __ Create another new raster layer and fill it with a light tan, I used #FFEDD1. Set it to burn. Duplicate that layer.

o5] __ Duplicate the base image (see step o1) and drag it on top of all the layers you have right so far. Go to Adjust; Hue and Saturation; Colorize. Set both the numbers to zero [0].

Then set that layer to color and lower the opacity to 25%.

o6] __ Merge all layers and copy.

Undo and paste the copy as a new layer on top of all the layers you currently have. Set the layer to color. [I do this because I don't want the color of the light textures to show, this step is optional.]

o7] __ Now under that layer you just created. Copy and paste as a new layer light textures. [I used light textures made by [info]wonton_graphics.]

Set all these different layers to screen.

o8] __ Create a new raster layer and apply this brush, by [info]blimey_icons, in black. Set the layer to multiply.

o9] __ Lastly is text. I always create the text as floating.
Type your text and press enter. In the layers palette right click the layer the text is in and choose "promote selection to layer". Then go to Selections; Select None.

BEHIND, size 22, font = OptimusPrinceps
I'LL PEEK OUT FROM ______ THESE WALLS, 3, font = Tahoma, kerning = 350.

If anyone needs help with anything mentioned in this tutorial, comment and I'll try my best to help. :)

Other tutorials.

You might be able to do this tutorial with it, though I don't have that program so I wouldn't know. Your best bet is to check out [info]icon_tutorial, it's a great place to find some tutorials. :)
