info on plurr_icons.

plurr_icons started on October 4th of 2003. at first it just started as an icon journal, then turned into a community.

plurr_icons started because gettingdrastic and caustic wanted a place to post icons and graphics.

plurr_icons got it's name via an AIM conversation. gettingdrastic asked caustic as to what the name of the journal should be, which caustic replied "plurr". thus the origin of the name.

over time there have been makers that have come and gone, though gettingdrastic has posted here since the beginning and won't stop anytime soon. hopefully soon there will be a couple of more makers, though for now it's only gettingdrastic and maybe a random post from coolchick_lena.

plurr_icons has been around for almost 5 years now, here's to 5 more years.

Today I made a userinfo banner for [info]beetwo. For it I drew some bees, scanned them and made them into brushes. Lots of people have commented to the post at [info]utopicons (join?) saying that they think the bees are cute. So! I'll post the bees here and if you want to you can save them and convert them to brushes.

The brushes I have are bigger, these are the brushes resized to a better size. 200x200.

I really wanted to get these up last night, though my computer decided it wanted to annoy me.

As I believe all of us know, yesterday Heath Ledger passed away. This is to pay respect to him and I hope fans of his like them.

100/100 COMPLETED; Christina Aguilera [100 challenge] [22 Sep 2007|05:23pm]

In my last post I said that I was doing the 100 challenge over at [info]xtina_challenge.

As of October 18th, I have completed all 100 icons for the 100 challenge. It took me less than 5 weeks to complete all icons, for which I'm very proud of. I'm also proud of not running away from this half-way through.

I haven't done a tutorial for a while. Though I felt bored so I wrote this tutorial.

I use PSP8, I think this can be translatable to other version of PSP and PS.

Please note that this tutorial is to inspire NOT to be copied step by step when making your own icons to share.
