| About: | I realized that there are no communities on lj with a listed interest of "getting published." So, I decided to make one. This community is for anyone trying to get their work published in any medium. Looking for some place to submit a story to? Ask our members for advice! Need an opinion about a poem you just wrote? Post it (with an lj cut, of course) and get some feedback! The members of this community are here to help our fellow writers. And remember the community's motto, said by some guy whose name escapes me at the moment:
"The good thing about writing is that you don't have to get it right the first time - unlike, say, brain surgery."
CURRENT CONTEST: The community needs an icon. Provide one and get a two-month paid account for free! The rules are simple: simply make an entry with your icon before August 14th. I will place the entries in the memories and make the final decision. It is permitted to have someone make the icon for you, but you MUST CREDIT THEM WITH THE WORK. You will still get the prize, but they will also receive a paid account. Be creative (but clean) and good luck! |
