Placeboism was founded by

freakbymistake and

drink_u_pretty_ to honour and worship the band, Placebo. We believe in polytheism because we worship THREE Gods: Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and Steve Hewitt.

This community is a place to...
1)- Pray to these Gods (eg. Dear Brian, I have an exam tomorrow. I pray to you that I will pass..)
2)- Make sacrifices and/or offerings (eg. in the form of pictures/artwork/icons/banners).
3)- Generally worship and post images of the Gods

When posting a picture we request that you use an LJ-CUT...

Our three main prayers are based on "The Apostles Creed", "Our Father" and "Hail Mary".
*In our religion we say "Protégé Moi" rather than "Amen".

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS OF PLACEBOISM
1.) Thou shalt rejoice in Placebo’s music at least once a day
2.) Thou shalt watch the “bum scene” at least once a month
3.) Thou shalt spell thy Gods names Capitalised (eg. Brian not brian)
4.) Thou shalt rest thyself on all Holy Days* and not do strenuous work
5.) Thou shalt save as many images of thy Gods as thy harddrive allows
6.) Thou shalt download and share as many live videos and interviews as thy bandwidth allows
7.) Thou shalt always re-upload (when necessary) items downloaded from

freakbymistake on November 18th 2004 to show their devotion to the Gods of Placeboism. [If you look closely you may see God's eye in a Bread Thing]

The Holy Drink of Placeboism is called a "Molkoccino" and is pictured below. These beverages will soon be available to purchase at your local Starbucks.
